Evolution begins with an ant colony-Chapter 380: The Intrusion At Biskivill Manor Part Two
Turning back to the guard, she said, "We must try to negotiate. Perhaps we can find out what they want and avoid further bloodshed."
The guard’s expression was grim. "My Lady, they gave no indication of their intentions. They attacked without warning, and from the looks of it, they are not here for anything other than destruction. It seems their goal is to claim your life."
Lady Bella’s heart froze at his words. She glanced at her sons, who were looking up at her with wide, frightened eyes. "Go and hide," she said to them. "Find the secret passage we talked about. Stay there until it’s safe."

"But Mother, I’m scared," Edmund admitted, his voice barely above a whisper.
Lady Bella took his hand and squeezed it gently, giving him a reassuring smile despite the fear gnawing at her own heart. "I know, darling. But you must be brave. Everything will be okay, I promise."

The boys nodded, and with one last glance at their mother, they hurried off to find the hidden passageway that would lead them to safety, led by a guard.
Just as they disappeared, another explosion rocked the upper floor. The manor was filled with the sound of splintering wood and crumbling stone. Lady Bella and the guard turned towards the source of the noise, their eyes widening as they saw two figures emerging from the smoke and debris in the hallway.
Kaldarix and Mellin stood there, their hooded robes billowing around them. Kaldarix’s eyes burned with a golden light, while Mellin’s gaze was cold. They advanced slowly, their steps echoing in the silent corridor.
Kaldarix’s voice cut through the air. "Where is the lord of this manor?" he demanded, his tone filled with a bone chilling authority that left no room for argument.
Lady Bella took a deep breath, stepping forward to confront the intruders. "I am Lady Bella Von Biskivill," she declared, her voice steady despite the fear coursing through her veins. "What do you want with my family?"
Lady Bella looked at Kaldarix and Merlin as beads of sweat streamed down her face.
She couldn’t help but think to herself, "They don’t look they are from this region, what do they want? Why are they suddenly after my life?"
"Did I offend someone accidentally? But who would dare attack the home of the Biskervilles like this? I don’t think anyone in this nation doesn’t know how important this family is in the alchemy industry."
"Although we haven’t been able to produce much potions recently due to the death of my husband, I doubt our importance would be dismissed in such a way."
Lady Bella stood, tensed, with two guards by her side, trembling. It was obvious they were well aware of what the intruders were capable of.
Suddenly, Kaldirix took one step forward as he asked, "Do you believe in your goddess?"
Lady Bella was caught off guard by the question, causing her to stutter as she asked, "Um, what do you mean, sir"
Kaldarix’s voice rose up slightly, a sign of his growing anger as he asked, I mean, do you believe in the goddess of the church that you people worship?"
Lady Bella hesitated, tightening her grip around the pendant hanging from her neck. The small, pice of jewelry a symbol of her faith and the strength she had drawn from it through many trials.
She took a deep breath, her voice steady but trembling with emotion. "Yes," she managed to say. "I do believe. My faith in the goddess has guided me through all our hardships and losses."
Kaldarix’s eyes darkened, his gaze turning cold. The air around him seemed to grow heavier, as his mana began to discharge out of the body, making the air tense. "Then," he said, his voice a low, cold growl, "you will have to die."
His word seem to echo through the very fabric of reality. Lady Bella’s heart pounded in her chest, but she stood firm, her chin lifted definitely. She knew the stakes, understood the troubles she and her family faced. Yet, the fierce look in her eyes spoke volumes about her resolve to protect her children and her home.
Mellin, standing beside Kaldarix, observed the exchange with a deteched look on her face. Her icy gaze swept over Lady Bella and the trembling guards wondering how they would get rid of them.
Kaldarix moved forward with the grace of a predator, his footsteps echoing ominously in the grand hallway.
The guards at Lady Bella’s side braced themselves, their hands tightening around their weapons. They knew they were no match for these intruders, but their loyalty to the Biskivill family left them no choice but to stand their ground.
"You have chosen where you stand," Kaldarix said, his voice echoing through the devastated hallway of Biskivill Manor. His golden eyes blazed with a fury that seemed to pierce the very souls of those who dared to oppose him. "So now, I will deliver my judgment. For all those who stand with the one who betrayed me and brought ruin upon my people, bear the sins of your goddess."
In an instant, golden spears materialized around Kaldarix, shimmering in the dim light. With a flick of his wrist, he unleashed them. The air crackled with energy as the spears shot forward, three aimed at the guards flanking Lady Bella, and one directly at her.
The guards braced for the inevitable, their faces set, knowing that their duty would likely be their end. Lady Bella’s heart pounded, with fear and a touch of hope churning within her. Time seemed to slow as the deadly projectiles hurtled toward their targets, promising a swift and brutal end.
But just as the spears were about to strike, a blur of movement flashed through the hall. A figure, cloaked in shadows, appeared out of nowhere, intercepting the golden spears with remarkable speed. In a flurry of motion, he deflected each one with deft strikes, causing them to veer off course and embed harmlessly into the walls.
The man stood tall and imposing, his presence commanding the attention of everyone in the room. He wore dark, flowing robes that seemed to absorb the light around him, and his eyes burned with a fierce intensity.
Kaldarix’s eyes narrowed, a snarl forming on his lips. "Who dares interfere with my judgment?"
