Evolving My Mythic Legion With A Legendary Skill-Chapter 111: The Darkness
The long greyish tentacle pulled Neil towards the sea, he couldn’t even react as his body got yanked away.
’What the hell!!’ Within moments they had already crossed several kilometres.
Neil tried using the Pseudo Apotheosis state, but there was absolutely no essence in his body.
Although this state didn’t use much, it still needed a certain amount.
[Aquamorph Activation Failed!]
Neil tried several things but it all ended in failure, his body getting dragged over the snow, becoming even more injured.
’Didn’t Eli see someone injured getting dragged? It was me?! Does she have foresight?’ Several questions flashed through his mind.
But in the next instant, his body was pulled into the sea, going deeper and deeper.
’Fuck I have to... get free!’ Mustering whatever strength was left within his body, Neil gripped the tentacle, trying to break free.
’What even is this thing?’ He checked its status and was shocked.
[Colossal Octo Raven: 4th Origin Diamond Class]
It was a creature so powerful that it could have easily torn those two beast kings to pieces, no wonder they avoided coming close to the sea.
There was no way Neil could defeat it.
Even removing the tentacle seemed impossible, making him feel as if his leg was about to be torn apart.
Holding his breath, he kept struggling but to no avail.
Soon he entered an area covered by black ink, completely blurring his vision.
The feeling of danger rose to the extreme, his senses screaming for him to flee.
Just killing that mythic class creature was so difficult, and this was on a whole another level, there was just no chance.
His battle suit quickly covered his head, providing oxygen.
"Master..." Nemo couldn’t help any more than that.
And although the apotheosis state is extremely rare and special, it is not completely invincible, there are always flaws in everything.
It’s just that killing someone who has achieved that state is near impossible, and Neil’s skill was very special.
If he could have achieved the true apotheosis state, then without even essence, as long as there was any fluid around, he could continue to exist.
But right now, it was of no use, even if they were surrounded by so much water.
’Why now... Fuck, one problem after another!’ Neil had reached too deep, the water pressure thankfully stopped thanks to his battle suit.
He could have finally relaxed after removing the major problem in the Carceral Citadel, only to find there were even bigger problems.
Aside from the feeling of extreme danger, the pull he had been feeling all this time got even stronger.
Almost like a powerful force was pulling him in a different direction.
"Sigh master it looks like this is the end, I was really happy with you, goodbye... we will both die here." Nemo muttered in a sad tone.
As his body got dragged deeper, Neil saw two glowing eyes staring at him with a very powerful bloodlust.
It was the Octo Raven, he definitely wanted to devour Neil.
GRRRRRRRRR...
GRRR. GRRRRRR...
Powerful vibrations shot in all directions, it seemed to be... laughing?
This bastard actually seemed very happy, as if he had just gotten a rare treasure, it was gloating.
GUUOOOOOOOO
Its grotesquely large mouth opened, as black ink flowed out with tiny bubbles, along with a powerful pulling force.
The tentacle pulled Neil closer, he was about to be devoured yet again.
The last experience was very bad and he wasn’t even sure if his analyzer would work perfectly here.
[Sonic Activated!]
Muttering every bit of his mental power, Neil launched a Sonic attack.
The mental energy of a person grows with their evolution, but mainly it grows through their adventures, their experiences and dangers.
After that month long torture, seeing everyone in his domain die, giving up and then coming back stronger.
His mental energy had already grown past his rank, though it couldn’t be measured for now, it was more powerful than most 3rd Origin lords.
The large octopus like creature shivered, its body stiffening and the beast just froze.
The grip on Neil’s feet lightened slightly, moving quickly he pulled his feet away, finally getting free.
But the freezing effect would last for 2 to 3 seconds, and in that time, he could not escape far.
With a thought, his domain started to move away from the sea and he asked Nemo to send someone to inform Hiroshima too.
While at the same time, a bubble appeared around his body, making him disappear instantly.
’So, this is where the bubbles are supposed to be used?!’ Neil wondered who exactly gives these rewards, they could even interfere with the future.
Is it the same with everyone? Do they all receive the best possible rewards, that surely help them with future troubles?
Or was someone specially handling his fate? Like sending him here, and everything that had happened so far?
There was no time to think, he turned and started to flee.
In his storage, there were three bubbles actually, two from before and one powerful one he got after killing that scorpion.
He was yet to check all the rewards, but it didn’t seem any of them could help him right now.
DRRRRRRAAAAAAAA!!
As the enormous creature came to its senses and noticed the absence of its treasure, it went mad, dozens of its hands striking the water randomly.
Neil swam hurriedly, barely dodging the fast moving hands, thankfully he was completely hidden.
For a second, his body paused as he looked down at the deeper part of the sea, from where he was feeling the pull.
After slight hesitation, it was as if his body moved on its own, swimming even deeper.
The place was completely covered by darkness, absolutely nothing could be seen.
And it wasn’t the ink that turned this place dark, but light was simply unable to enter.
After a minute, his body and the bubble were swallowed by darkness.
Strange sounds began to ring within Neil’s mind, his eyes turned pitch black, heart thumping faster and faster.
The black blood moved through his bulging veins with great intensity; this feeling was almost sending him into madness.
At one point Neil completely lost control of his body, he swam deeper, filled with extreme excitement.
Travelling far enough, to a place where not even the Octo dared to carelessly touch.
He paused.
In front of Neil was a big jade like stone, but what shocked him was the entity frozen within it.
It was over twenty feet tall and appeared so terrifying that even Neil, who had fought against someone of 5th Origin, froze.
It was a figure he had seen before, something he was all too familiar with.
’A... Phantom?!’
More than half of its body was buried in the jade stone, while the rest was forcefully pulled outside.
It seemed to still be breathing but there was no life in it, as if the very soul had disappeared.
What was a Phantom even doing in a place like this? Even more questions appeared in his mind.
But before he knew it, Neil’s right hand pressed against the jade like stone.
DRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR...
Powerful vibrations suddenly reverberated across the entire sea, even the large octopus froze sensing the terrifying sensation.
The jade stone trembled violently, while the body of the Phantom started to break down, soon turning into a thick fluid.
The venom like fluid quickly climbed onto his body, feeling a strong pull.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhh" Neil’s body started to break apart as he got swallowed by the pitch black fluid.
