The four archers stood on the towers, ready to support him. This was the limit of Neil’s domain for now, he desperately needed a lot more points.

Neil’s heartbeat rose, he could feel the adrenaline rush, as his breathing became quicker.

Fighting a horde was a first for him, he was slightly nervous, especially because the analyzer might not work.

GRRRRR

The faint noise of the domain moving forward rapidly was mostly shushed by the snow.

Before long, strange and twisted noises sounded.

Along with the sound of flesh being torn.

As they moved forward and the fog cleared slightly with the wind, a grotesque sight became visible.

There was a big crowd of disgusting creatures, each looking as if plagued.

Neil wasted no time as he read the info about them before the creatures could notice him.

[Description]: A deadly mantis which is quick and heavy, their blades could tear anyone even a class higher than them.

The heights of the creatures differed, with the shortest being over 6 feet while the tallest even reached 9 feet.

Their hands were just blades, but their body structure was greatly different from a mantis.

Their bodies seemed to have gone through a broken mutation, their bodies were heavy and filled with pus.

The body structure of the Phaged was similar to that of humans.

Right now, they were munching over the corpses of several Frost Bears, internal organs and flesh spread all over the snow.

’That is the mantis at 2nd Origin, thankfully he is classless.’

Neil’s gaze fixed on the strongest and tallest Heavy Mantis in the group.

Despite not even being at the Bronze Class, its strength was quite higher than Neil’s.

"We have to quickly pass through here before others swarm up on us, there are even stronger mantis."

Neil warned, he had specifically chosen this point from where other 2nd Origin mantis were quite far.

’CHARGE!!’

Just as his territory was close enough and those Phaged had started to notice the domain, he jumped over the gate and stabbed both short swords into the heads of two mantis.

Blood spluttered as their brains were destroyed before they could react.

[You have killed a 1st Origin Bronze Class Heavy Mantis.]

And that was the start of a bloody battle...

Magnar quickly grew to its full size and let out a terrifying roar, they had to let the domain pass through successfully.

WHOOSH

The mantis were still shaken, unable to react in time as Neil charged into the horde and frenziedly slashed out, each swing reaping a life or two.

Heads were cleanly cut, and quickly Neil was bathed in the black blood of the Phaged.

TRRRRIIRRRRR

All the mantis finally reacted as they noticed the two creatures among them and endless bloodlust filled them.

But in the next moment, more than ten of them were swallowed by magma breath, while others were tossed away by Magnar’s large body.

"Not enough!!" Neil gritted his teeth, stabbing and slashing, without caring about the defences.

CLING

A blade slashed at Neil’s side, almost making him stumble, but ultimately it failed to break through the defences of his red armor coat.

SWISH

Without even looking, Neil slashed back and cut the body of a mantis in two.

But in the next instant, several other Phaged attacked him.

THWACK

But the head of one exploded as an earth arrow struck, while several others had their bodies pierced with normal arrows.

The four elves and Nemo had started to provide support.

Many mantis cut at Magnar’s skin, but they couldn’t really hurt him.

Magnar continued to charge, forming a clear path for the domain as the familiar continued to spit out flames.

Finally, the domain had arrived near the horde.

Neil moved back, taking a deep breath and then held his breath.

Despite their efforts to attract the Phaged, there were too many and some had started to jump at the domain.

Though the outer barrier stopped them, it would slow down the domain greatly if they crowded around it.

To produce a loud sound, Neil spread his arms to his sides and then struck the swords together with all his might.

DRRRAAAAHHHHH

In the next moment, an ear piercing roar resounded that stunned all the Phaged around and even Neil.

The eyes of many Phaged turned bloodshot.

They ignored Magnar and the domain and all began to charge at Neil, even the 2nd Origin mantis had gotten closer now.

"Shit!!" He cursed and took several steps back.

Why was it not mentioned that the swords possessed this ability too?

The only two effects were paralysis to enemies and madness to its holder as he drew more blood.

CLANG CLANG

From all around, the Phaged began to slash at his body. Neil rapidly dodged them, or used his armor to stop their attacks while delivering fatal blows.

BANG

A flash crashed down from the sky and punctured the head of a mantis that was about to pounce at Neil, and took the corpse away.

’Good, at this rate, the domain could cross.’ Neil looked at the domain that was moving without any hindrance, but suddenly a very fast mantis appeared before him.

BANG

Before he could react, the sharp blade of the tall mantis struck his chest, a mark appeared over his armor but it wasn’t torn.

Neil coughed and jumped to the side as a nine feet tall Heavy Mantis struck the ground, splashing the snow in all directions.

BANG

In the next instant, a powerful water arrow struck its head.

KIIIIEEEEEE

The mantis cried out in pain as it stumbled forward, but it was not enough to kill it.

Neil jumped forward and slashed towards its feet, using this moment of distraction.

SWISH

He slashed at the exact point near the joint where the carapace was not present, and the red blade easily cut through one of its legs.

DRAAAAAAA

The mantis screamed as even more pain shot through it, its arm slashed towards Neil’s hand instantly.

But after limiting its agility, Neil was able to dodge the attack easily.

He quickly looked towards the domain and saw many mantis surrounding Magnar and the barrier.

He didn’t attack the 2nd Origin mantis, instead charged into the horde.

SWISH SWISH

THUD THUD THUD

His arms almost turned blurry as he cut the Phaged creatures, but with their speciality being speed, it was getting harder for him to kill them in one shot.

Again, he struck the blades against one another.

DRRRAAAAHHHHH

The mantis paused and all pounced at him, as the domain once again picked up speed.

CLANG

Neil grimaced in pain as several attacks managed to go past his defences.

Several cuts quickly appeared over his legs, face, and neck, thankfully none were serious enough.

A blade swung right towards his face, Neil brought his blade up as sparks flew around, and his arm was jerked back, almost dislocating from the shoulder.

He looked back and saw that this Phaged was a bit different from the others.

’Is it at the Diamond rank?’

Neil’s eyes widened in surprise, it is quite rare to find creatures at such high ranks after all.

But of course, he wasn’t happy to meet one right now.
