Exclusive Love: Pampered by the Scheming Tycoon-Chapter 544 - 525: Liking His Touches
Tong Keke murmured wistfully, "I really wish I could grow up quickly. Once I’m grown up, I can be like Ms. Banxia—wearing a beautiful dress and marrying the man I love."
While murmuring, Tong Keke’s watery eyes had already shifted to the side, where Gu Qianxi stood, chatting with Huo Yanting.
Huo Yanting patted Gu Qianxi’s arm. "Why don’t you take Keke to her seat first? I still need to greet some guests."
"Go ahead," Gu Qianxi smiled and nodded, then gave Tong Keke a subtle glance. Tong Keke obediently followed behind him.
On their way through, several people came up to greet Gu Qianxi. Tong Keke, however, darted off to the food area, determined to indulge her appetite.
"Keke..." Just as she picked up a piece of cake, ready to taste it, a voice made her scalp tingle.
She whipped around abruptly, and sure enough, she saw Han Yan rushing toward her, clutching the hem of her gown. "Keke, it really is you! I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me!"
Tong Keke ignored her joy and, as if uninterested, casually dug into the cake with a spoon, replying flatly, "Ugh, so annoying. You’re everywhere."
"Keke, I’m your mother!" Han Yan’s expression turned into sorrow almost instantly.
"Stop emphasizing that. I know who you are. If you really want me to acknowledge you, then stop meddling in my relationship with Uncle. Leave him alone." Tong Keke’s tone turned angry, with a trace of warning in her glare.
Han Yan’s expression froze. "You came here with him?"
Han Yan glanced back, seemingly trying to find Gu Qianxi. Tong Keke quickly stepped in to block her line of sight, her words sharp and urgent: "I’ve already told you, don’t bother him again. Do you hear me?"
"Keke, you’re still young; you don’t understand matters between men and women. I’m just trying to protect you from getting hurt." Han Yan’s motherly concern made her desperate to persuade her daughter to leave Gu Qianxi.
"I’m eighteen! In these eighteen years, you’ve no idea what my life has been like. I can make my own decisions now. Your presence means nothing to me anymore!" Tong Keke’s voice carried an unmistakable hurt.
Some people nearby turned to glance at the two.
Gu Qianxi’s gaze also drifted over. When he saw Tong Keke standing there, tears pooling in her eyes as she faced Han Yan, he immediately excused himself from the group of friends and rushed over.
He came to Tong Keke’s side, placing an arm gently around her shoulder. Concern filled his voice. "Keke, are you okay?"
Han Yan’s gaze landed on Gu Qianxi’s hand resting on her daughter’s shoulder, and she immediately felt affronted. Suppressing her anger, she hissed, "Gu Qianxi, if you’re still a man, you’ll keep your hands off my daughter."
Only then did Gu Qianxi realize his habitual gesture—his palm had rested on her slender shoulder. He hurried to withdraw his hand.
But Tong Keke grabbed his hand firmly, stopping him, and turned to glare at Han Yan defiantly. "I like when he touches me. Do you have a problem with that?"
"Keke, you...you’re trying to drive me mad, aren’t you?" Han Yan’s heart shattered at her daughter’s words, pain etched deep in her expression.
Noticing people approaching from around them, Gu Qianxi quickly urged her, "Keke, let go of my hand for now."
"I won’t!"
"Be good," he coaxed.
Only then did Tong Keke release her small hand, turning back to look at Gu Qianxi with tear-filled eyes. "Uncle, let’s leave. I don’t want to stay here."
"Keke, Yanting is my closest friend..."
"But I don’t want to stay here. I’ll go ahead!" Tong Keke despised Han Yan’s interference. She turned and bolted out, with Gu Qianxi chasing after her in quick stride.
Han Yan stood trembling with fury.
