Exiled!? Ha! I have An Infinite Space-Chapter 110 -
Han Fuji did not answer her question.
He did not pause or turn back. After a brief moment, he only said,
"You do not need to worry about things like that."
His voice was calm—too calm.
As if the matter had nothing to do with him.
Bai Ming frowned.
"What do you mean I should not worry?" she asked.
But he had already started walking.
He gave no explanation, said nothing more, and simply left.
Bai Ming stood still, watching his retreating figure. Step by step, the distance between them grew until he disappeared from sight.
She did not move.
Still holding the basket, her thoughts lingered on his words.
"You do not need to worry..."
She repeated them silently, then exhaled.
"...Troublesome man," she muttered.
Her voice lacked its usual sharpness. There was something else beneath it something she chose not to examine.
Only then did she notice the change around her.
The light had faded. The sky was dark.
Evening had come without her realizing.
"I stayed out too long," she said, clicking her tongue.
She adjusted her robe, ensuring it covered her properly, then turned and pushed the gate open, stepping back into the Fu residence.
Inside, the courtyard was quiet.
She walked further in as the gate closed behind her.
Nothing seemed out of place.
Nothing seemed wrong.
But outside—
Not far from where she had stood—
A figure remained hidden in the shadows.
They had been watching for a long time.
From the moment Bai Ming arrived...
To when Han Fuji appeared...
To when they both left.
Bai Ming pushed the gate open and stepped into the courtyard, where the sound of laughter immediately reached her ears as the children ran around playing with Fu Li, who tried to keep up with them while pretending not to be tired.
Not far from them, Madame Fu and Fu Fei were arranging things on the table, preparing for the evening meal.
The moment Bai Ming stepped in, Fu Li noticed her and walked toward her, but after taking a few steps, her expression changed as her eyes moved over Bai Ming’s appearance.
"What happened to you?" Fu Li asked, her voice no longer playful.
Her gaze lingered on the torn clothing and the robe loosely covering Bai Ming’s shoulders, and her expression quickly turned serious.
"Who did this to you?" she asked again, this time louder.
Her voice drew everyone’s attention immediately.
Madame Fu and Fu Fei turned at once, Master Fu looked up from where he sat, and Fu Sheng and Su Long, who had just stepped outside, stopped when they saw Bai Ming standing there in that state.
The courtyard grew quiet.
Everyone could see that something had happened.
Bai Ming suddenly became aware of how she looked under all their eyes, and for a brief moment, she did not know what to say.
Madame Fu was the first to move. She walked over quickly and held Bai Ming’s arm gently.
"Come and sit first," she said, guiding her without waiting for a reply.
She helped her sit down carefully and adjusted the robe around her shoulders.
"Slowly, tell us what happened," she added.
Fu Fei stepped closer, her brows slightly drawn.
"Did someone hurt you?" she asked.
Fu Tong also walked forward, his expression already dark.
"Who touched you?" he asked.
Master Fu’s voice followed, calm but firm.
"Speak clearly," he said. "What happened?"
Bai Ming sat there, surrounded by them, and for a moment, she felt something unfamiliar settle in her chest.
They were all looking at her.
Not with judgment.
But with concern.
She lowered her gaze slightly before speaking.
"I went to the shelter area," she said.
Fu Sheng’s brows tightened immediately.
"You went alone?" he asked.
Bai Ming paused briefly, then nodded.
"Yes."
Master Fu shook his head slightly.
"That place is not safe for someone to go alone," he said.
His tone was not harsh, but it carried clear disapproval.
Bai Ming continued,
"I was looking for someone, but I did not find him," she said.
She paused, then added,
"Some men came out and surrounded me."
The air in the courtyard changed instantly.
Fu Li’s expression hardened, and Fu Tong clenched his fists.
"They tried to touch me," Bai Ming said, her voice steady even though her fingers tightened slightly in her lap.
Fu Tong took a step forward immediately.
"I will go there now—"
"You will not go anywhere," Madame Fu said firmly, cutting him off before he could finish.
Fu Tong stopped, though his expression remained tense.
Bai Ming spoke again before things could escalate further.
"It is fine," she said. "Someone came and stopped them."
Su Long looked at her.
"Who?" she asked calmly.
Bai Ming hesitated for a brief moment.
Then she said,
"He chased them away."
She did not say more than that.
Master Fu nodded slowly.
"You were fortunate," he said.
Madame Fu let out a soft breath.
"If I had known you were going there, I would have told someone to follow you," she said.
She adjusted Bai Ming’s robe again, making sure it covered her properly.
"You should not face something like that alone."
Fu Tong nodded immediately.
"If you need to go anywhere next time, tell me," he said. "I will go with you."
Fu Li added,
"Yes, do not go alone again. That place is not safe."
Fu Fei stood beside them, her expression worried.
"We are here," she said softly. "You do not have to handle things like that by yourself."
Bai Ming sat quietly as she listened to them.
Her grip on her clothes tightened slightly.
For a moment, she could not speak.
Then her eyes stung unexpectedly.
A tear slipped down before she could stop it.
She froze for a second, then quickly raised her hand and wiped it away.
"I am fine," she said, her voice steady but softer than before.
Even here...
In this family...
They were worrying about her like this.
There was no blame, harsh words of humiliation...Only concern.
She lowered her gaze slightly.
"I understand," she said quietly.
