Exiled!? Ha! I have An Infinite Space-Chapter 75 -
I stood weakly, panting slightly. I could hardly stand at that moment.
Seeing that I was about to collapse, Fu Sheng quickly took hold of me and carried me in a bridal style. His hair was wet and hung loosely down his back.
He looked so enchanting almost like a merman, if I wasn’t being completely ridiculous.
I sighed and simply rested against him as he carefully carried me out of the water and back to dry land.
"Sit here," he said, placing me on a clean rock before immediately going to get dressed.
I also quickly put on my hanfu since women usually took longer to dress. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
After I finished, I turned around and saw him still standing there, staring at his feet.
"Huh?" I raised my brows in confusion. "Fu Sheng, I’m done dressing. Let’s get going, or the others will start getting worried."
Fu Sheng only nodded.
He still did not look at me.
Without saying anything, he turned and started walking toward the forest path.
I stood there for a moment, watching his back as he walked away.
My brows slowly furrowed.
Then I whispered softly to myself,
"Why is he acting so shy and awkward...?"
I tilted my head in confusion.
"It’s not like this is the first time he’s done something like that."
After muttering that, I quickly picked up my robe and followed after him.
The forest path was dark, but the moonlight shining through the trees helped us see the way.
He walked ahead of me with steady steps.
I followed behind for a short moment before quickening my pace.
Soon I was walking beside him.
I glanced at him from the corner of my eye.
Fu Sheng was still looking straight ahead, his face calm.
But his ears were slightly red.
I noticed it immediately.
I walked beside Fu Sheng, watching him from the corner of my eye.
He was still looking straight ahead, acting as if I didn’t exist.
I couldn’t help it.
A small smile appeared on my lips.
"Fu Sheng," I called softly.
He only hummed in response but still didn’t look at me.
I folded my hands behind my back and leaned slightly closer to him as we walked.
"Why are you acting like that?" I asked.
He frowned slightly. "Like what?"
"Like you are afraid to even look at me."
He said nothing.
That only made my smile grow wider.
"Is it because of earlier?" I teased lightly. "What we did in the river.. did you not like it?"
His steps slowed a little.
I noticed immediately.
"Oh... it is because of that," I said, trying to hide my laugh. "Fu Sheng, it’s not like this is the first time we have ever done something like that.. acting all shy and distant is just weird!"
He kept walking, but his ears were already turning red again.
I leaned closer to his side.
"Or is it because I went down in the water and tried to suck your...haha?" I whispered playfully.
"Su Long," he said quietly.
But I didn’t stop.
"You looked very nervous just now," I continued. "Your ears were red, and you couldn’t even look at me."
Suddenly,
Fu Sheng stopped walking.
Before I could react, he grabbed my shoulders and gently but firmly turned me to face him.
I blinked in surprise.
His expression was serious now.
For a moment, he struggled to find the right words.
Then he finally spoke, his voice low.
"I don’t want you to see that side of me."
I frowned slightly. "What side?"
His grip on my shoulders tightened just a little.
"The ugly side," he said quietly.
He looked away for a moment before meeting my eyes again.
"I am trying to control myself around you."
His voice was calm, but there was tension in it.
"I don’t want to lose control... and start doing things I shouldn’t."
He let out a slow breath.
"I don’t want you to look at me and think I’m some kind of... freak."
For a moment, I really felt like laughing.
But the laughter slowly faded when something crossed my mind.
I remembered the original story... the way Su Long used to treat him. Every time he tried to get close to her, she would look at him with disgust. She made him feel like even touching her was something shameful.
No wonder he thought like this.
Looking at him now, so serious and tense, my heart softened a little.
I smiled gently.
Then I tilted my head and slowly raised my hands.
My palms rested lightly on his cheeks.. they were cold.
And immediately Fu Sheng froze. His eyes widened slightly as he looked at me.
"Fu Sheng," I said softly.
"You think too much."
My thumbs lightly brushed his cheeks.
"There is nothing ugly about you."
He didn’t speak.
I could feel the tension still in his shoulders.
So I continued calmly,
"You are my husband. If you feel something for me, that’s normal."
I smiled a little more.
"You trying to control yourself... that just shows how much you respect me."
His eyes flickered slightly.
"And," I added quietly, "I never thought you were a freak."
And I wasn’t even kidding about this, if he’s calling himself a freak for trying to touch his ’own’ wife then what about me.
I’m not even his real real wife and I’ve spent all my teenage and adult years tainting my eyes with rated r contents.
For a moment the forest became completely silent as the moonlight filtered through the trees above us.
Fu Sheng looked at me as if he was trying to confirm whether I was serious.
I gently squeezed his cheeks before letting my hands drop.
"Alright," I said lightly. "Can we go back now?"
I turned and took a step forward.
Then I glanced back at him with a small smile.
"Or do you plan to keep standing there all night?" I said before I then walked towards him closer this time, I stood on my tiny toes and placed a kiss on his cheek.
