"When exactly did you reach A-rank Aiden?

"And how exactly did you rank up that fast Flynn?"

These were the questions the Crown Prince of Arcadia posed to both brothers in quick succession, even as all three of them along with Ivar were now casually strolling through the bustling, opulent hallways of the academy after a day of actually doing absolutely nothing asides the orientation Darius gave them.

He had a genuinely curious expression on his face too while making his inquiries but Aiden and Flynn just casually replied that they had no idea too.

’As much as I’d love for the world to know about mana veins, Amael despite being a person who wanted humans to grow so much stronger than they currently were, purposely kept that information to himself…’ Flynn pondered to himself.

’I’d like to believe that he had a very good reason for doing so…’ Flynn inwardly concluded.

Beatrice on the other hand, who was walking just in front of the boys, glanced over to her side to see Caroline without a single wave of surprise in her poised demeanor as she also strolled alongside her, Adrian’s words ringing from behind their backs.

"I’m reminded once again that Flynn and Aiden really are oddities…" Ivelia quietly said, her tone casual yet audible enough for Beatrice and Caroline who were also beside her to hear her clearly.

"The day of the annual banquet…" Caroline quietly also responded to Ivelia’s words, the cacophony of humming noises of cadets in hallways serving to lower her voice even more as she continued.

"I’d also been immensely shocked by it when I found out…" she added with a relaxed tone.

"That far behind?" Beatrice asked questioningly, after which she then added, her tone of voice very concealed.

"Is that why you approached him?"

"What?!" Caroline glanced over to Beatrice, a very offended look on her face but after a few seconds, she reverted her expression back to normal, understanding that almost every other noble would have done the same to Aiden if they had found out on the day she did.

"No. That’s not why I approached him. I had another reason…" the ruby-eyed lady with porcelain white skin replied genuinely.

"Oh? That’s a first…" the crown princess responded, a fairly surprised look on her face at the genuineness of Caroline’s words, something the silky-black haired lady herself didn’t pay any mind to.

Beatrice then glanced over to her other side and watched as Amelia kept her gaze forward without uttering a single word despite seemingly wanting to also join in on their conversations.

As all four ladies were walking together, they were constantly turning the heads of most of the male youths who just kept gazing at them, almost as if this was the first time they were seeing such beautiful ladies.

Such was the destructive power held by four beauties walking side by side with each other and conversing.

Caroline however, seemingly used to this scenario, turned her gaze towards Ivelia and asked her a question.

"So Ivelia… Did Briar like her care-packages?" she asked with a small smile.

Updated from freewёbnoνel.com.

"You call those care packages? Did you perhaps buy an entire boutique’s worth of items Caroline?" Ivelia jokingly asked with a chuckle.

"I did…" Caroline responded calmly, the small smile still gracing her face.

"…"

"You do know that was a joke right?" Ivelia asked again, her expression slowly morphing into one of perplexity.

"But it was no joke. I did buy everything that would suit her in that little boutique though…" Caroline responded, her head tilted slightly while staring at Ivelia after which she then added a few more words.

"Was it too small? I knew I should have just bought the entirety of the larger boutique’s items instead…"

Ivelia just stared in disbelief at Caroline’s words, still unable to wrap her head around what she had just uttered.

However, upon taking a right turn at one particular part of the beautifully designed ornate hallways, all four ladies found themselves facing a gigantic arched doorway whose doors were opened wide and led to a humungous yet modernly designed hall with multitudes of cadets already in.

Soon, all of their attentions were drawn to the expansively and massively wide holographic screen in the distance that seamlessly merged with the wide walls which had an innumerable number of virtually pinned notes on it, students clamoring directly in front of it and their heads obstructing the view of its lower half.

Each virtual note had a quest on it, a few details regarding said quest, the issuer of the quest and the credits assigned to it upon completion.

Although freshmen could only stare at the quest board, their seniors on the other hand, just went and came like moths to flame, taking a quest by tapping on their smartwatch and leaving immediately after.

Other seniors who came to submit completed quests though, just moved close to the board, placed their smartwatches near it and instantly, had their credits transferred to them upon verifying that they had completed the quest.

Aiden along with Flynn, Adrian and Ivar also stared at the expansive holographic screen, their eyes scanning the entirety of it with curiosity.

’I think the novel’s explanations never did justice to how so many structures like these actually look in reality…’ Aiden inwardly said, his eyes still locked onto the expansive holographic quest board.

When cadets were told that Arcana Academy was a like a little nation of its own, they would often wonder about just how real that was.

Now upon getting to experience just how true those words were, they couldn’t help but marvel at the sight of the many things they had already witnessed just today, especially for those who had already gone to all the sections just today.

Arcana Academy itself was just the very beginning as it only covered the first layer of the entirety of the floating island.

The Academy was split into three sections; Section One, Section Two and Section Three; all of which are placed atop the other and can only be accessed using the teleportation portals.

Section One was where the campus of the academy itself actually was and it housed structures such as the practical training grounds, the libraries, lecture halls and classrooms, clubs and so much more.

Section Two was where all the residential areas were, ranging from expensive dorms for the students, furnished single apartments each for the instructors, school workers and officials, along with separately built residences that cost close to 10,000C for cadets who were willing to pay for such with their hard earned cash.

Section Three. Now that was the section that made Arcana Academy really seem like a thriving city and nation of its own, teeming with life and wonder while also having a few distinct districts.

From the bustling markets of the bazaar district where numerous items can be traded for credits, the hall and events districts where various festivals and balls took place, the entertainment district for cadets to relax on the weekends, the virtual simulation district that allowed for students to gain battle experience without the risk of having to incur dangerous injuries, the research and magic engineering district that constantly pushed and brought new innovations, the beast processing and management district for processing fissure monster parts and the crystal caverns districts.

Upon staring at the holographic screens for a few more seconds, Flynn turned around and began to head towards the area of the campus where the teleportation portals were situated.

"Where are you headed to now Flynn?" Ivar questioned and also began to follow him and so did the other two male youths along with the females too.

"Our dorms…" he casually responded after which he then added.

"It’s not like we can actually earn any credits without the smartwatch. Better go pick it up"

"You do have a point" Ivar replied and following this, all eight youths soon found themselves accessing the teleportation portal leading to Section Two, where all the dorms and residences were located.

Apparently, the reward for coming out on top during the exams was a dorm that was specifically built for them along with something extra they would notice once they got their smartwatch.

Their dorm also had all the basic necessities along with a few more structures in addition to it that they would apparently find out about once they got there.

This information had been provided to them by a third year senior who came in a few minutes after their instructor had left the class while handing over a few maps of Section Two to them, which was now what they were using to navigate their way to the dorm.

"I have to ask though guys… Why the hell is our dorm so freaking far from the rest of the normal dorms and residences?!" Ivar suddenly asked as they all kept walking, his tone clearly annoyed as he kept staring at the map in his hands.

"That’s true… We’ve been walking for the past fifteen minutes since we got here…" Adrian muttered, a thoughtful expression on his face.

Aiden and Flynn on the other hand, along with the ladies just kept walking without saying anything despite the fact that they were growing even more curious about why their dorm was quite far.

Even the brothers themselves had no idea about any of these since despite having extensive knowledge about the academy, all of these were also new experiences for them.

Upon finally reaching the dorm itself, all eight youths wondered if the academy had a reason for building their dorm like a small mansion nestled around so much greenery and far away from other residences but without reading too much into it, they opened the front gates and stepped into the courtyard of their new residence for the next few years.

’Hmmm? I guess someone just came in too…’ Flynn thought to himself upon realizing from a few meters that the main door to the dorm was left ever-so slightly ajar, just before they all went in and took in the interior design of their dorm.

The interior designs of their dorm was really luxurious and modernly designed to say the least.

It had an elegantly designed spacious living room with plush, oversized sofas and a cozy fireplace, along with large windows that allowed for natural lights to flow in, all while providing a view of their dorms’ small yet enchanting garden.

Just adjacent the living room was a fully-equipped, state-of the-art kitchen, complete with gleaming countertops, stainless steel utensils, utilities and appliances.

Although they were yet to see it, at the first floor was where their balcony terrace was situated, along with where all the private dorm rooms were.

Each dorm room had king-sized beds, spacious closets, a study nook containing an elegant desk and a chair along with a bookshelf and finally, an ensuite bathroom with marbled tiling, a shower and a pristinely designed bathtub.

After taking in the environment of their supposed dorm for the very first time for a few more minutes, the youths all decided to finally head to their respective private rooms.

Since they had all been provided with keycards along with their uniforms that gave details about their rooms, the youths were instantly able to find their rooms upon seeing the numbers written on the sleek metal doors.

Aiden upon getting to the door of his room, swiped his keycard in and was just about to enter but just as he was, he watched as Caroline appeared from the corner of the corridor with her own keycard in her hands.

The scarlet red, ruby-eyed lady upon also spotting him, blinked her eyes a few times, checked her keycard and then, looked at the room directly opposite Aiden’s.

It was her room!

Following this, Caroline internally squealed while Aiden just stared at her with his head slightly tilted as he watched her weird mannerisms.

Flynn however, was currently dealing with a weird scenario of his own.

Just as he was also about to enter his own room, he watched as Lucas exited the room just beside his.

As soon as their eyes locked onto each other, Lucas instantly glared at him fiercely.

Flynn on the other hand, just rolled his eyes and with a sigh, proceeded to enter his own room but just he was about to do so, he watched as Amelia appeared from the corner.

The brown haired lady upon also spotting the two youths, stared at them for a few seconds with a confused expression and then, glanced downwards to check her own keycard, only to realize that the room directly in front of hers was Flynn’s.

’Haaa… Say universe? Do you have a thing against giving me my peace?’ Flynn inwardly sighed again and asked himself as he finally opened the door to his room and went in, the automatic metal doors shutting behind him.

The youth then walked over to his king-sized bed and picked up the smartwatch that was placed directly in the middle of it.

-Pomf!

Upon sitting down on the soft bed that felt like he was sitting on fluffy clouds, Flynn switched on his smartwatch while navigating straight to where his profile details were.

As he gazed at his details, Flynn noticed that the total credits that he had, instead of just being 1000C, was actually 1690C.

’Hmmm…’ Flynn pondered.

’So this was the extra reward Instructor Darius talked about…’ he thought to himself, realizing that the extra 690C, came from the total number of monsters he vanquished at the entrance exams.

’Guess they decided to add a zero digit to the 69 monsters I destroyed…’

"Nice…" Flynn muttered to himself with a light smile.
