Extra And MC-Chapter 96 - 92 - Girl Talk
Beatrice and Caroline were walking side by side as they made their way back into the living room of their dorms.
They had both been using most of their weekend to train, Caroline helping out with Ivelia’s mastery over the first form of her weapon art while Beatrice and Amelia had sparred many times.
Now, after having taken enough of a break for each of themselves, they were both heading back down into the living room to have some of the pastries Ivelia had promised to bake for them.
Upon reaching the living room, they watched as Ivelia kept taking notes down while having a thoughtful look on her face as she stared at the old parchment of paper she had been showing to Flynn earlier this morning.
Amelia was on the opposite side of the couch, tapping her smartwatch, seemingly scrolling through the school’s blog and forums.
Although quite subtle, it was obvious to the onlookers that both ladies were very clearly, trying to avoid wanting to talk to the other.
"Hey Ivelia" Caroline who was genuinely just hungry and could care less about the awkward tension in the room, called out to the orange-haired lady.
"Oh hi Caroline. You guys ready?" she seemingly asked both ladies.
"Please bake those macarons again! I also want those chocolate-flavored cupcakes if you don’t mind" Beatrice requested politely.
"Sure. I’ll even add a few extra slices of cake" the lady replied with a smile, her hands rolling the old parchment of paper and placing it into her spatial bracelet along with her notebook.
Following this, Ivelia headed over to the kitchen, took an apron from the rack while simultaneously also wearing it and began to pull out every ingredient she needed from the kitchen’s cupboards.
Caroline headed over to the fridge, retrieved a bottle of water while Beatrice just sat at the countertop, propping her chin with both of her hands while staring at the orange-haired lady as she made a few preps here and there.
Caroline after downing her water gently, glanced over sideways to watch Ivelia begin to break the eggs and couldn’t help but just comment on something that her eyes had always subtly caught onto.
"Honestly, I occasionally have to wonder if your shoulders constantly need a few massages at frequent intervals…" the raven-haired lady said while watching as Ivelia’s boobs jiggled, the apron tightly fit on her body and provocatively accentuating her usually covered assets.
"Oh, trust me. I wish I could do something about it too" Ivelia sighed and said with a tired expression.
Maybe because she had a penchant for wearing baggy clothes or because most of the time, she was wearing a lab coat when she wasn’t wearing their school uniform’s blazer that perfectly hid it underneath but even then, most people that had seen Ivelia’s boobs, especially Caroline and Beatrice, couldn’t help but wonder how they got quite big.
"Is it because you eat quite a lot?" Beatrice couldn’t help but ask, noticing from over the past two weeks that Ivelia had a pretty voracious appetite.
"I wonder at times too… feels like all the nutrients keep going where they’re not supposed to though" Ivelia responded with a slight frown.
Although Ivelia was mid-heighted, it didn’t mean she didn’t want to get just a slight bit taller.
"Oh I think your height’s perfect though" Caroline said with a smile while sitting on the free chair close to the counter that was directly beside Beatrice’s.
"Tell me that when you see Flynn harassing me with a smug smile from above just because he’s taller than me, not that I mind though but…"
"But?" Beatrice questioned, seemingly interested in where the conversation was heading.
By now, Amelia had also left the living room and had decided to also come get a drink from the fridge.
"…at times I just want to catch him off-guard. See what his expression would look like too" the lady replied, a small smile gracing her features.
"Mmm… how sweet of you Ivelia" Beatrice said to the lady with a small chuckle and then twirled on the stool to face Amelia while asking her.
"Don’t you want to join the convo Amelia?"
Amelia looked at Beatrice for a few seconds, glanced over to Ivelia and Caroline and upon realizing that they really didn’t mind, proceeded to sit on the stool on Beatrice’s other side.
Caroline on the other hand spoke again while asking a question.
"So uh, do you need our help with anything?" she asked, to which Ivelia replied with a hearty laughter.
"No. Remember what happened the last time we tried doing that?"
"Yeah, I think it’s best we stay away from the kitchen Caroline, at least for now" Beatrice responded with another chuckle after which she then added.
"We might be capable of cooking other stuffs but we seemingly have no talent when it comes to baking. I don’t want to have to look at those hideous charcoal cupcakes we made again"
"Fine…" Caroline replied with a small yet disappointed pout.
"I have also been curious though Caroline, you seemed to have mellowed out with the boys" Beatrice began, a very curious expression on her face.
"What caused such changes?" she continued asking.
"That… that’s because I’ve decided that I shouldn’t rely on it anymore…" the ruby-eyed lady answered with a small smile.
"Oh?! And why’s that?" Beatrice asked again and even Amelia who was now seated just beside the princess, couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow in surprise.
Caroline however just giggled coquettishly and replied.
"That’s a secret!" she said with a slightly loud whisper.
Ivelia who had understood what was running through Caroline’s head just shook her head slightly, a smile on her face but just as she was, Caroline threw a playful question at her.
"So Ivelia. Ever since that stunt Flynn pulled on you at the cafeteria, you’ve stopped receiving date requests and proposals haven’t you?"
Ivelia’s cheeks flushed slightly red the moment Caroline asked that question while Beatrice had an even more interested look on her face. Amelia just maintained her normal expression though.
It had just been three days since that event had happened and to Ivelia, it was as if it happened just yesterday.
For quite a while since that day now, the thought would randomly creep up into her thoughts, finding ways to make her feel so happy yet also quite embarrassed at the same time.
"Someone’s blushing again…" Beatrice teased her with a playful giggle.
"Love-struck with no hope of redemption eh?" Caroline added, her own internal thoughts also responding to her question.
’Not like I’m any different though…’
Ivelia who had now become another subject of teasing for both the princess and the heir to the Roseblade family, couldn’t help but just proceed to ignore their teases, all while rolling the dough and make the texture just right.
A small wave of silence passed through the kitchen after that had happened and soon enough, another wave of curiosity got the better of Beatrice as she soon asked a string of questions.
"How exactly did you get to meet Flynn and Aiden though?"
"I’ve been quite curious for the longest time now" she continued.
"Considering you might’ve been living on the outskirts of town prior to you meeting both of them, I find it quite interesting how they decided to venture that far out in the first place"
Ivelia thought for a few seconds at Beatrice’s question, seemingly also remembering how she had also asked Aiden and Flynn why they came that far into the city outskirts.
Their reply had been that they were looking for a particular combat art and had just managed to enter their store by coincidence.
"February 7th. A day I’ll probably never forget for the rest of my life" Ivelia began with a warm smile.
’February 7th?’ Amelia inwardly questioned.
’Wasn’t that the day Lucas and I saw them in the city streets? So it was that day huh…’ she continued internally.
"Actually it had just been a pretty fortunate coincidence…" Ivelia now properly replied to Beatrice, continuing with her words.
"I, was actually napping on my counter when Flynn appeared in front of me" she continued with a happy smile.
"At first I thought I was dreaming when I saw him but his next words… -Pft!" Ivelia suddenly let out a small laughter.
" ’Are you awake or perhaps do you believe you’re in dream?’ " Ivelia continued, saying the exact same first few words Flynn had told her the very first day they had met.
"So he’s self-aware of how good he looks despite seemingly never flaunting it" Beatrice asked with a smile.
"I’m pretty sure he is" Ivelia replied with a giggle after which she then continued.
"I’d already been quite shell-shocked to have seen Flynn’s face for the first time but then Aiden popped out of the corner with our experimental potion in his hands, making me wonder if I truly wasn’t in some fantasy dream of my own"
"Back then, I wouldn’t have ever thought that things would go this way but, well, here we are I guess…" Ivelia concluded with a very warm smile.
Beatrice, Caroline and even Amelia, couldn’t help but just look at the beautiful orange-haired lady before them, almost as if caught in a small trance by just how happy she had been when she was talking about her encounter with the two brothers.
"That must’ve been nice…" Caroline said with a warm smile of her own after a few seconds had passed.
"Yeah, it was" Ivelia replied, her hands now placing all the arranged pastries onto a tray and into the oven.
"Now we wait" the lady said, removing the gloves she had previously been using and placing it onto the counter.
"There’s one thing my mum had told me though regarding you and Ivar though" Caroline suddenly spoke again, this time, a thoughtful look on her face.
"And what’s that?" Ivelia asked curiously.
"The Python guild…" Caroline answered.
"A dark guild?" Beatrice questioned, seemingly understanding just from the way Caroline said it.
Amelia on the other hand just kept quiet, but it was very clear from her expression that she was also interested.
"Ah… that brings back some nasty memories" Ivelia finally replied with a bittersweet smile.
"Hey Ivelia. It’s alright if you don’t want to talk about it" Caroline beckoned to her gently.
"No. It’s fine. It’s all in the past anyway" Ivelia replied calmly and then proceeded to narrate the ordeal to them the best way she could.
After she was done, all three girls had pretty solemn looks on their faces.
As both Caroline and Beatrice struggle with words to say, the timer for the pastries which were baked, suddenly rang.
Without wasting a single moment, Ivelia slipped on her baking gloves and retrieved all the pastries in an instant.
"It’s ready!" she declared with an excited smile but upon seeing the expressions of the three girls, gave a small sigh and spoke.
"I told you that it was all in the past. What are you all so sad and serious for?" she asked, her hands placed on her hips.
"You… you really are a strong lady Ivelia" Caroline said to her with a very gentle yet genuinely respectful smile.
"Caroline’s right. I don’t think I’d be able to move on from that kind of experience that easily, even if I did hold out from having anything of such done to me" Beatrice replied with a similar expression mirroring that of Caroline’s.
Amelia who found it a bit hard to say anything to Ivelia given the fact that there was a quite a lot of awkward tension between them, let out a few words of her own.
"I’m sorry you had to experience that…"
This greatly surprised all three ladies because despite them never actually saying it out loud, they knew very well what the atmosphere between her and Ivelia was like.
"It’s fine guys. Really! I did get my revenge by crushing his manhood so there’s that…" Ivelia casually said without a speck of shame in her words.
"You crushed his manhood?!" Beatrice and Caroline recoiled, baffled expressions on their faces, along with Amelia who also had a similar expression.
"Yeah I did! Freaking worth it!" the lady shamelessly declared once again with a victorious grin.
Following this, Ivelia had to forcefully shift the conversation away after thanking all three of them for their concerns again, reminding them that the pastries would turn cold if they didn’t eat it.
"You’re giving me too?" Amelia asked, bewildered by the third plate Ivelia pushed towards her.
"Uh yeah? Should I not?" the orange-haired lady tilted her head in confusion.
"No, no. I… I just thought you’d have a deep dislike for me" Amelia answered truthfully.
"Well if I’m being honest, I clearly don’t like you…" Ivelia calmly said to the brown-haired lady, surprising both Beatrice and Caroline by how blunt she was being.
"…but I also don’t completely dislike you since I don’t also really know you. It’s kinda like a mixed bag for me really" she continued.
New novel 𝓬hapters are published on ƒreewebɳovel.com.
"The reasons for that are pretty obvious so I don’t think I need to delve into that" Ivelia explained.
"But I’d just be a bad person if I deprived you of the pastries when you’re clearly also interested in them. That would just feel weird to me…" Ivelia continued.
"Besides, whatever it was that happened between you and Flynn, stays between you and him. I trust in him to deal with as he pleases. That’s pretty much all I wanna say" Ivelia concluded while locking her unique shade of orange and blue eyes to Amelia’s brown ones.
A slightly heavy silence hung between all four of them but Beatrice quickly spoke up in an effort to clear the air.
"Speaking of Flynn, he’s exceedingly smart to say the least! Coming up with that plan for taking out most of the entire guild in such a short span of time" she exclaimed.
"Yeah. All three of them taking down a small dark guild on their own is honestly quite amazing" Caroline chipped in, after which she then added.
"I think I now understand why the Duchess had scolded them so severely on the day of the royal banquet regardless of the place and time..."
Thinking back to that moment, Caroline and Beatrice couldn’t help but let out a small yet hearty wave of laughter.
This gesture of theirs, returned the atmosphere in the kitchen back to normalcy and soon enough, even Ivelia was giggling slightly while Amelia had a relaxed expression on her face.
As this was happening, the door to the dorm building opened and in walked Aiden and Flynn, happy and relaxed smiles on their faces, along with Ivar who was currently stuck in between their arms.
The ladies however upon seeing this, especially Caroline and Ivelia, had their eyes widen in horror as they gazed upon the tattered and bloodied looks of the two brothers.
