Extra: Yandere Milfs Obsessed with me!-Chapter 174: The Predator and the 5 Beasts
In close combat, the pressure increased. Kris blocked a sword, took a blow from a mace, and pushed his opponent back with a knee strike. An arrow exploded near his feet.
"Fuck..."
He straightened up despite the pain.
Zane charged again, using the other students as human shields.
"By refusing to make any victims, it will be easier to kill you."
Isabella tried to block him with her lance, but a fire spell came from behind.
She struck him violently from the side. She was thrown onto the rocky stone, spitting blood.
"Isabella!"
"I’m fine..." she lied as she got up, leaning on her lance.
Kris clenched his teeth, they were truly cornered.
’I have to find a way to use the Pendragon lineage!’ Kris had certainly awakened the Pendragon lineage but he could not use it whenever he wanted.
He had not yet mastered it and the first time, it had only been instinctive.
"Isa, I think we really need to consider killing some..."
"You talk TOO MUCH!"
Zane leaped at them--
*Fink!*
A high-pitched sound of something extremely hard slicing through flesh and bone.
Zane’s hand, still gripping the hilt of his sword, was separated from his wrist by a thin blade of pure energy, almost invisible bluish white. The amputation was so clean, so fast, that Zane had time to take one more step before the blood spurted in a pressurized jet and the lightning pain reached his brain.
"AAAAAAAHHHHH!!! FUCK!!!"
His sword, still held by the severed hand, fell with a dull metallic thud on the rock.
In the shocked silence that followed, one other sound echoed: the sharp and authoritative crack of a boot stepping on the rocky ground, coming from the shadow of a basalt pillar where no one had been a second earlier.
"Who is it?" Kris exclaimed, too slow to understand the origin of the attack.
Before he could make a defensive move, a black boot sole slammed with brutal force against his face, sending him crashing to the ground, completely unconscious.
Standing before them was a silhouette wrapped in a long black coat that floated on the heat currents. His face was hidden by a dark metal Oni mask, its demonic features frozen in an expression of cold menace. One hand remained casually tucked into the coat pocket.
"Who are you?" Isabella spat as she struggled to her feet, her trembling lance pointed at the stranger.
The voice that answered was distorted by the mask, mechanical and devoid of inflection. "I have various names. You can call me: The leader of Black Neon."
"But I consider myself the blade of the Prophet Nostradamus..."
"Nostradamus?" Isabella repeated, lost. The name evoked nothing she knew.
"The Predator who hunts predators," the voice continued. A glacial shiver ran down Isabella’s spine.
"SHIT!! WHO THE HELL ARE YOU!?" Zane yelled while holding his wrist, his gaze showing only fear.
"A dead man doesn’t need to understand," the silhouette concluded. Then...
"My Beasts, devour them."
Behind him, the air tore open. A large dark hole, like a mouth of shadow, opened in the void. Five silhouettes burst out with spectacular speed.
They too wore black clothes and Oni masks, but without the distinctive horns of the leader.
The five Beasts.
Even through their clothes, their nature was obvious. One swept the air with a thick and agile fox tail. Another had the hunched posture and feline movements of a lycan with wolf blood. A third silhouette, feminine and slender, made two cat ears vibrate upright on her hood.
A fourth briefly spread wide feathered eagle wings before folding them against his back, betraying Avian ancestry. The last one, in appearance, had nothing special, but his aura was as unsettlingly calm as death itself.
Without a word, without a cry, the Beasts dispersed.
And then... It was a massacre.
The lycan threw himself at the opponents, disarming them with abrupt movements before felling them with a claw strike to the throat. The Avian dove from the sky, his talons piercing their skulls. Blood splashed everywhere, with entrails torn apart by the half-beast Kitsune’s hand.
"Thank you?!" Isabella cried out, the word escaping her despite the terror that overwhelmed her at the sight of this brutal efficiency.
The Predator, who had not moved, suddenly appeared behind her, without her perceiving the slightest displacement. "You don’t have to thank me," the distorted voice said in her ear.
Then, with the same imperceptible speed, he delivered a sharp and precise blow to the back of her neck. Her eyes widened for an instant before rolling back, and her body slumped, unconscious, into the arms of the shadow that had saved her only to capture her better.
....
Meanwhile, isolated on the collapsed ledge, Olivia faced a threat of a completely different nature. The air around her suddenly densified, becoming heavier and heavier.
An abnormal and crushing gravity fell on her shoulders, twisting her muscles and crushing her lungs. She buckled under the pressure, her knees threatening to give way.
A silhouette materialized through the flames.
"Filthy Datalion bitch..."
He was immense, two meters tall, his bare and muscular torso streaked with tattoos that seemed made of flames.
His mere gaze, arrogant and cold, was suffocating. But worse still was the Arcane mana he emanated: a raw and tyrannical energy that literally weighed down the space around him, creating a devastating gravitational field. The stones cracked and sank under his feet.
"Godwin!! What the!"
Olivia, breathless, tried to retaliate. She raised a trembling hand, tracing the silver symbol of infinity in the air.
She tried to apply her slowing spell directly on him, to weigh down the time around his body to freeze him.
<Temporal Imprisonment: Slowdown>
"It will be useless."
But Godwin’s power was on a different scale. Olivia’s spell shattered against the dense aura surrounding him.
"You think you can steal the artifact of my Lineage with impunity?"
He took a step forward, and the pressure increased again, making Olivia’s bones crack. Her magical time, so effective, was insignificant in the face of this dominating force.
"It was Adrian who made a pact with you to kill me, wasn’t it?"
"Adrian? Have you gone mad facing my divine Aura?"
Godwin raised a hand, nonchalant, ready to crush her with a simple gesture.
Olivia clenched her teeth. She was quite exhausted from getting this far and then the power emanating from Godwin was far too dense. She could no longer even move a muscle.
It was then that a white flash of lightning sliced through the distorted gravity field.
