Extra's Hatred System-Chapter 31: Minotaur (2)

[New Skill: Axe of Hatred]

"An axe huh..." I smiled, "perfect."

And so I grabbed the handle of the axe and swung it at the minotaur's axe, I was still moving at full speed so the impact was pretty powerful.

"RAAAAAHHH" the monster roared in anger as it's weapon was cut in half.

"What the?" I thought, I really didn't expect this to happen, but I guess it's a good thing.

I then jumped and landed behind it, but I was still running at full speed so I ended up crashing into a wall.

"Gah..." I coughed out blood, I can't control my speed yet it seems.

"K-Kaine...?" Mina said while looking at me.

"Kaine, y-you saved us!" Sarah exclaimed, tears willing up her ocean eyes.

"Of course I did" I replied while getting up, "now run away, i'll hold it off."

"B-but..." the elf tried to say something but I interrupted her.

"GO!" I shouted

"O-okay..." she nodded and ran away with Sarah.

There was now no way for the protagonist to save the blue haired girl, but I guess it's fine, it's better than to see her dead.

The minotaur now having lost his weapon was using his giant fists to punch everything in it's way.

"RAAAAAHHH" it charged at me.

"Come on you ugly shit" I taunted it.

It swung it's fist at me but I dodged it by jumping to the side, then I used my momentum to swing my axe at it's arm.

"RAAAAAHHH" the beast roared in pain as it's left arm fell on the ground. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝘤ℴ𝑚

"Now we're talking" I smiled.

But then it used it's legs to kick me in the stomach and send me back by dozens of meters, crashing into yet another wall.

"Shit, I can't move" this realization dawned upon me the moment I tried to get up again.

I had completely forgot that I wasn't invincible.

The sight of the thing now missing it's left arm was terrifying, and it was slowly but surely getting closer to me.

"GET UP!" I screamed to my exhausted body, "GET THE FUCK UP!"

But it was useless, I couldn't move anymore.

"RAAAAAHHH" the minotaur roared and jumped in the air, ready to crush me with it's gigantic body.

In addition to my current distress, the red axe in my hand was slowly starting to decompose and going back into my body, meaning I was defenseless.

I also peeked at Daemon and I could see that he was still in his power-up animation, what the hell?

Guess I have no choice...

[Power surcharge, cannot use this much power at current level, deactivating skill in ten seconds.]

I felt a huge amount of energy flowing through my veins, and the aura around my body increased.

I jumped to the side now that I could move my body and avoided the minotaur's figure who crashed into the wall and completely destroyed it.

[8 seconds.]

I didn't lose any precious time and immediately started running towards Daemon, the aura around his sword was growing, meaning he was gonna finish soon.

But the beast didn't want to let me go either as it closely followed me.

[6 seconds.]

I could hear the loud footsteps behind me but I didn't have the courage to look back.

[5 seconds.]

I reached Daemon safe and sound but the monster was now infront of the protagonist, ready to swing it's fist at him.

[4 seconds.]

But when it's arm was right infront of the blonde's face, a slashing sound was heard and almost instantly the monster lost it's right arm.

It was now armless and could only fight using it's body or legs.

[3 seconds.]

I looked at Daemon and saw that he was finally done powering up.

His sword was now glowing with a bright yellow light and his eyes were shining too.

[2 seconds.]

"Let's end this" he said.

Then he swung his weapon at the minotaur and slashed it's chest, the impact was so powerful that it sent the beast flying into a wall, destroying it.

[One second.]

"Phew..." I sighed in relief, it was over.

And just like that I collapsed.

[Power surcharge, skill deactivated, system user will pass out from exhaustion.]

The familiar message appeared, but along with it came something else.

[You did well.]

I opened my eyes and found myself in a black room, it was empty and extremely similiar to the one where I talked to that entity except for the fact there was a door.

"Where am I?" I asked myself.

I got up and walked towards the exit, then opened it.

"Huh?" I was surprised by the scenery infront of me.

It was... my room from my other world...

I entered it and looked around, it was exactly like how I remembered it.

"What is this place?" I mumbled.

"This is your mind" a voice answered, one extremely similar to mine.

I turned around to see who was talking to me, and there I saw it.

It was me, well actually, it was a version of me that was completely red, and just like the axe it was like it's body was completely composed of that hatred aura as it was coming out of it like waves.

The only thing distinguishable was it's hair, it's eyes and it's mouth as they were completely white.

"What are you?" I asked.

"I am you" it answered.

"Wha-"

"I am your hatred, I am a part of you" It interrupted me, "you are me, and I am you" it repeated.

"Why do you look like that?" I pointed at it's body.

"Because I am your hatred, I am the embodiment of your anger and rage" it explained, "and I am the thing that gives you power."

"I see..." I looked down.

But we didn't have the time to continue the conversation as the room suddenly started to shake.

"It seems like our time together is over, but do not worry, me, we are always together, whether awake or asleep" it smiled, and I could see it's white mouth curl up.

[Anger meter: 37/100]

What the, isn't it supposed to go to zero once I use the hatred skill?

"My sole presence increases the meter" it was like it heard my thoughts.

"Oh, okay then" I shrugged.

"Now wake up, we have a lot to do" it said.

The ground beneath the two of us suddenly started evaporating, and once it was completely gone, the two of us fell into the endless void under us.

But I noticed something else: our bodies were getting closer to one another, and when we touched each other, the other version of me completely disappeared by going inside of my chest.

It was like we merged with each other to become one.

And with these thoughts in mind, I woke up.
