The moment he killed the phantom, a rush of knowledge invaded his mind, giving him all the ideas to improve the pseudo rune and its flaws, then knowledge on how best to use it in combat, etc.

Then he found himself back in the runic chamber, and then saw it changing all over as a transformation took place. The runic chamber in his soul sanctum was already quite large, now it expanded slightly. The various patterns on the chamber changed slightly; each section of the chamber seemed to become slightly more advanced, but it wasn’t too significant from what he could tell.

The biggest change occurred in his Nexus Core. As the gas-like mana started to compress and a rush of mana seeped into Axel’s body from the outside world, it started to coalesce into his nexus core. A profound change occurred within Axel; he could feel it. His mana reserves and all of his strength increased; The change wasn’t too extreme, but it was exhilarating to say the least.

He went out of the runic chamber and inspected himself thoroughly. He clenched his fists and could feel the increased strength in him. He brought up his Nexus Panel to inspect the changes.

Axel hummed thoughtfully, seeing the changes of it, his stats, which already hit 200, did not increase, but those below reached exactly 200 and not above, it seems that without advancing his 2nd aspect, it would not increase any further. Sigh, what a dilemma.

But his mana reserves did hit 200, maybe his mana reserves would still increase even without advancing his 2nd aspect, though from what he knew, advancing one aspect too high without another could result in an unstable power base, thus he naturally would not do that.

His core saturation increased from 30% to 35%, and this specific stat actually indicated how much he had progressed within the 1st phase of power. It was a measure made by Prime Nexus, including progress on both of his aspects. It should not even increase by 5%. The main reason it did increase from what Axel could surmise is that he gained a lot on his runecaster aspect because of the revelation on his 2nd try on the imitated void, how the core of the material and immaterial plane interacted with each other.

Axel stood up and he went in front of a full body mirror...he inspected his body, which was full of compact muscles and a lean figure, he couldn’t help but exclaim, "Goddamn, good thing my whole body is covered up all the time, otherwise the ladies would kill for it."

It might be a bit narcissistic to say it for himself, but he really did look divine, coupled with his blue hair and eyes, he could only wonder what would happen when girls saw him with his runic eyes active.

Axel sighed to himself, while that aside, since all of his stats have reached a somewhat round figure, he felt quite in tune with the entirety of his existence. As if there was a perfect balance within himself, which was hard to comprehend, but it was there, and it felt very good. For now, he didn’t know what were the benefits of it, but he would indeed find out about it later on.

Tomorrow after class, Lumina, Heinz, and Vyra were helping Axel set up a somewhat of a makeshift store, where he would sell his runic weapons. Many curious students were watching this from a distance. Heinz asked in a bitter tone, "Hmph, I’m helping you set this thing up, I should get a few free right?"

Vyra added, "Have you made bows?"

Lumina commented, "Can you engrave magic staffs?"

Axel looked at them and answered all three at once, "No, No, and Yes."

He asked Lumina, "You delivered my message to Lucien, right?"

She nodded, "Yes, I told it to both Sophia and Lucien."

Axel shot her a glare. "I only told you to say it to Lucien."

She shrugged with a cute smile, and Axel only snorted and said nothing more. She stated after staring at him intensely for a few seconds, "Well, why does it feel like you’ve become more handsome?"

Axel looked at her with apparent nervousness from the corner of his eye and said with a cough, "Uh, well, I did advance to mid-stage recently, could be because of that, I don’t know."

Vyra gave Lumina a suggestive smile, while Heinz shook his head in pity, glancing at his friend. Axel cursed internally, This chick has been more and more bold with her words day by day. It seems she wasn’t ready to give up on him, she would occasionally stare at him with a strange look that meant something else entirely.

Of course, she would do that in a way that doesn’t change the dynamic between them, she apparently didn’t want the friendly relationship they had to turn sour, so she would only do or say those things sometimes on the fly without warning.

Axel stated with some annoyance, "Well, you’re own brother is far more handsome than I am."

Lumina’s expression changed and she said with an almost disgusted tone, "Handsome my ass, he looks ugly as a toad to me. Even Sophia agrees with me on that. Though she says you are also ugly."

Axel’s mouth twitched, but he did not respond. He thought internally, ’If Lucien hears what you said, the guy would die of a heart attack, considering how much of a siscon he is, lol.’

That does seem like something she would say, lol. Vyra looked at Lumina unamused. She added, "Well, I can’t say I agree that Prince Lucien is ugly, but it is true that more girls drool over Axel than the prince."

Heinz became confused and asked, "No way? How can that be?"
