Extra's Perfect Ending-Chapter 300: Interest
Something tells the demon that the pope had planned this all out, that he knew exactly what she was about to say.
"I want to live"
She said, testing the pope’s resolve. In some way, she held the higher card because she was the one owning this body. The pope stood still, looking as natural as one could be.
"No, that part was non nagociable"
"Then I won’t leave," The demon said with a confident smile, this body really was that valuable to the pope. If she was able to hold onto it then the pope would be suffering a massive lot.
"Enjoy your stay"
The pope said with his usual smile however underneath the old man’s face, lies a deep threatening stare. Even the void demon couldn’t help but feel scared for a moment, wondering if he was the real demon here.
The pope disappeared from her sight but then her world went black. She no longer has the demon body to resist the pope’s physical strength.

Reeva woke up inside a tent alone, in the middle of the night. His mind felt a bit hazy from experiencing meeting the sun god. He sat up and rubbed his head with his hand.
"How’s the talk?"
"Wah!" Reeva screamed after he heard the question. It sounded like a woman asking him but, there is no way someone would visit him alone in the middle of the night... Unless it’s the saintess?
"Next time don’t appear in my tent like this"
He almost had a heart attack. Lucy the saintess shug, didn’t seem to think much about this. Reeva gathered himself again and looked at the saints. She had blonde long hair with bright golden eyes, people of Eyre often had this type of feature. Even the sun god, as blue as he was, Reeva could still make out that he had blonde hair too.
"So, how’s the talk?"
"You knew?....." He regretted muttering that because it was Lucy that suggest him to talk to god. However, what he didn’t expect was the fact that she was a little... excited.
"I want you to take to our lord remember? So how was it what does he look like? does he look like this?" She rummages through her own bag before presenting Reeva with a statue of a middle-aged man with a sharp jawline. His pose was natural but firm and his right hand was holding up the sun torch.
Reeva was a little stumped before she said "Um... You see higher being had "this tendency to look rather blurred when view..."
"Oh!" The saintess also realizes this fact "Then did he look remotely like this?"
Reeva felt a bit uncomfortable as the saintess came closer, her eyes sparking with interest.
"Can you back off a bit..."
"Oh, sorry" The saint acknowledged his claim and made some distance however she still presented him with the statue eagerly waiting for his answer. Reeva had no choice but to look at the statue again, this time he was looking at the detail of the thing.
"The thing he looks a bit more.... down to earth than this"
The mini sculpture which was made of wood, depicted the god wearing a beautifully long priest robe, decorated with many shiny jewels. However, the real sun god usually looked like a farmer.
"Oh, what attire did he wear? I want to recreate it!"
Reeva scratched his head, wondering if telling her was a good idea or not. On one hand, it could be disappointing to her if she knew the god wore a farmer’s clothes. On the other hand, the Sun church practiced honesty and truth. Ultimately he decides to honor the sun god’s teaching.

"He wore a farmer’s clothes everything I visited him and he often lives in a house no larger than a normal one in ruala Eyre."
"Praise the sun!" Saintess yelled out "I didn’t expect the lord to be such to earth guy! The church fashion needs to change to honor our lord!"
"You didn’t need to do that, I don’t think he would care much about this..."
"No, why do we get to wear these clean clothes when the lord still wore a normal farmer outfit!"
Reeva was more than stunned, he saw the logic in it but also saw that there was nothing to change about the priest’s clothing. It’s a way to differentiate themself from normal people. If you took this away then Reeva would need to be on alert all the time. There would be an undercover agent of the church! and he didn’t want that.
His first encounter with Plutus still made him a bit pissy. If this crazy saintess made her idea true then there would be no time to disrespected the god left for him!
"The likes the church outfit, there’s no need to change it"
Reeva said with a smile. technically this was not a ly since the god didn’t comment anything about the sun priest robe. The saintess still looked a bit unsatisfied but after a little time, she finally calmed down.
"Sorry, I got a bit carried away... I always wonder what the god wears, so I could be closer to him"
"Sure... However, there’s a more pressing matter to attend to" Reeva said with a serious tone, snapping saintess out of her daydreaming self. She listened intently to what Reeva had to say next.
"The mother wasn’t dead"
"I knew it!" The saintess said with a smile. Her hunch had been proven right! "Let’s catch her!"
"That would be a little bit of a problem... The god said that the mother was in the camel peak"
"In the north? Why would she be there!? We will have to march in somehow."
"That won’t be a problem"
An old sound came from outside the tent, Reeva wasn’t surprised someone overheard them when they spoke this loudly. The figure entered the tent and Reeva knew who this was, it was the orange robe priest that was beside the pope half of the time!

"What’s the empire like? do they usually hunt big monsters?" Kanku asked with sparking eyes, this time it was directed at Holen. However, after he said something about the statue, the mood of the people here seemed a bit down.
"Are you still curious about the statue?" The boys were "Well, it usually wouldn’t move but on rare locations that they do, we knew that someone might have died there. No worries though, the statue wouldn’t move if they didn’t detect any dying person.. at least that’s what we know"
"They don’t attack a normal person?" Holen was perplexed, their party was perfectly fine before he dug the treasure out. why would the statue’s behavior suddenly change? and why did it go after them... it must be the treasure that Atahn was after but why? Moreover, he fact that they moved a distance of a day in less than 5 hours was insane.
It’s like they just travel forward in time.
"No, one time we had to traverse through there in an emergency but no one got attacked, then on our way back, we decided to take the same route however this time they attacked our injured and left the healthy alone. Someone was turned into a statue right on his friend’s shoulder. After that incident, we avoid that place entirely."
Holen felt a chill when he imagined that science. Oven was frozen stiff when he heard the kid narrate that event. It could have gone much worse than he experienced.
"Are there any reports of time being weird there?"
"No? why? Did you guys have a weird time experience?"
"Yes, do you know something about this? we covered a day distance it in 4 hours which couldn’t have been possible even if our horse ran it full speed outside of the forest"
Kanku places his hand on his chin and thinks hard.
"There’s a story of a missing person that was found... About 2 years ago, someone in the village went missing and a year later he appeared again however, he remained as young as the day he disappeared and moreover, he didn’t even remember what he had gone through?"
"Where’s that guy now?" Jell asked, curious about this story. From what he heard the kid didn’t lie.
"He suffered an accident about a week after he returned, he fell into his own trap and died. Sucks to be his wife that had to make two funerals for him."
Holen listened closer to that story and felt a pain in his chest. Will they die too? That remained to be found out... Now they had to scare a bit of mountain. They have carried at the north of the Carmel peak, just before the steep mountain above.
"We go around this?"
Jell asked, looking at the tall mountain up close. Saliva went down his throat as the scale of the mountain gnawed on him.
"No, that’s too slow, my mom will definitely catch up, we’ll go through the mountain I know a way."
"Then lead"
