F-Rank Puppeteer!! But I'll be Queen, and I'm not a narcissist!!!!!-Chapter 185: War Urgency, Lucien’s Fragment of the Past
Suddenly, I’m thrown out of the darkness. I feel a bit nauseous; I’m not like the Demon King’s Shadows who can handle this as if it were routine. I look around and see that I’m in the throne room.
I look around and see that Lucien is already here. There’s also a strange girl I don’t know. She’s a beautiful girl with long pink hair that goes down to her waist. She has massively large breasts, an obvious H-cup.
With an extremely curvaceous and seductive body, her eyes have an intense, dark and dull golden tone, and she has a long, thin black tail with a heart-shaped tip, large black wings, and large black horns. She’s also very tall, at least 190 centimeters.
Her breasts are so massive they seem as big as my head, and her clothes, no matter how hard they try, seem to have great difficulty hiding her figure.
She seems uncomfortable, keeping her head down while the clothes she’s wearing are clearly not suitable. She’s trying to wear a suit, but her body is so blatantly seductive and large that the suit just looks lewd.
And the buttons on the suit jacket over her chest are literally trembling, as if they’re about to snap and go flying at any moment, while the pants she’s wearing are so tight on her thighs and her large butt that it looks uncomfortable.
"...I see you’ve arrived..." the Demon King says, calling our attention. Lucien, who was staring at this strange girl, looks at our father, and I do the same.
"Augustus, Marie, and Esther aren’t coming. Augustus is dealing with a problem in one of the military areas, Esther is on the front lines, and Marie is leading an area closer to the edge of our continent. So it will just be you three, who currently have the least important functions," he says quickly.
"F-Father..." I raise my hand to try to get some attention. I’m so uncomfortable.
"Speak."
"W-Who is this girl? And where’s brother Laplace..." I don’t see him around, which is strange because he’s very involved in war matters, so he should have been summoned too.
"Right there."
"...?"
"!!!?" Lucien and I look confused at the girl beside us, until we both simultaneously widen our eyes in pure shock.
"L-Laplace!!?" I say, not understanding what the hell I’m seeing. This girl with so many feminine attributes that her clothes can’t handle her is that androgynous guy who rapes girls?
"It happened a week ago, and his body completed this little ’change.’ But that’s not relevant right now," the Demon King completely ignores the fact that his son is now a girl.
’W-What the hell happened to him!? This never happened in the game!!’ There are no routes where Laplace turns into a girl!! It doesn’t even make sense! Why the hell would a demon change genders out of nowhere? Besides, she doesn’t seem comfortable with our gazes at all.
He, or rather "she," has a body that practically seems to represent all the sins he’s committed! I’ve never seen a body as slutty as this one!! Even Arial, who’s a nymph and has a seductive body, isn’t as exaggerated as Laplace’s body is now.
She practically has a body that screams "LUST" now, and that’s so bizarre, especially knowing what "he" used to do to girls before.
"F-Father, c-can I be excused from this? I-I don’t think I’m fit to... p-participate in the war for now..." Laplace speaks in a very restrained voice. Her voice is so sweet and cute it’s almost ironic compared to her voice before.
"No, Laplace. It doesn’t matter if your body has changed now. You still have all the power you had before, and you will do what you have to do without excuses. Look at your sister Evelyn. She was so pathetic before."
"But after marrying Esther, she went to war. She obtained relatively good results in her latest report. Her body changed, and yet she’s not here complaining," my father says, giving me a compliment, and that surprises me.
Although... although... ALTHOUGH THIS IS INSANE?!! I grew horns!! It’s a change, but Laplace literally switched genders!! There’s no comparison between the two things. But of course, I don’t say anything.
"I-Understood, father..." Laplace even looks like she wants to cry. I guess almost no one knows yet that Laplace is now a girl.
"Now, enough stalling. The reason I summoned you here is that I need the three of you to unite and go to a specific location."
"In this location on our continent, the angels have built a [Bridge]. It’s a magical chain that connects one point to another and allows the activation of certain instant movement magics."
"Your duty is to lead 100,000 soldiers, invade this place, and make it ours. The [Bridge] cannot be easily broken, so if you can take control of that place, we will have the means to send many soldiers to the Angelic Continent."
"Using the bridge, we can force the Angels to be more defensive. This will allow us to use the new ships we are building through deals I’ve recently been making with the humans," my father says something I didn’t know. He hardly gave any indication that the deals with humans had already started, showing how well he knows how to hide things.
"This way, we can send entire fleets to our enemies’ continent. As it is an important mission, you three must work together, and I will not accept failure."
"Besides, normally I would go, but I’m busy. The humans are demanding; they only accept more direct deals for reasons of trust and contract. So I’m busy dealing with them and won’t be able to go."
"The soldiers are all ready for you to lead. Also, don’t worry about your previous functions; I’ve already sent people to take your places."
"Likewise, your close servants and trusted people will soon return to the castle to go with you. Just wait two days and you can depart. That is all." The Demon King suddenly disappears.
But we understand one thing: this is urgent, truly urgent. I’ve been studying warfare a lot to make Esther proud, and I know we’ve never had as good a chance as now before.
However... even though this is important, the mess Lucien and I are seeing now distracts us. Laplace completely steals the scene. I look at Lucien, who gives Laplace a dangerous look.
’Oh shit!! Oh SHIT!!’ I quickly stand up, getting in front of Lucien and Laplace, placing myself between them. Laplace shrinks back under Lucien’s gaze, while I remember why Lucien wants to be the Demon King.
In childhood, Lucien loved a girl. He was a very gentle child and didn’t like fighting much, unlike now where he has a certain addiction to combat. Back then, he even thought of ways to abandon the competition for the throne.
Because he had no interest in that fight, he was totally focused on that girl he loved. However, even while loving that girl, he still had important duties, so he had limited time with her.
The two grew up together, and Lucien’s love for her increased. In the game, Grace manages to get Lucien’s romantic route by helping him heal from his "trauma." The reason Lucien has for wanting to be the Demon King is to destroy certain rules of the nobility that make certain types of nobles immune to any punishment.
And his desire for this is because... the girl he loved killed herself... after being violated by Laplace for over a month, almost every day. She was one of the first girls Laplace did this to, and she couldn’t handle what happened.
Most of the girls Laplace violates end up letting it go because Laplace uses his incubus/succubus powers to make it seem like it wasn’t that bad. But there are cases where he doesn’t do anything, and in those cases, for those girls, it’s a horrible trauma.
Of course, Lucien found out, and he found out the obvious: Laplace would never be punished because he’s a prince, the son of the Demon King. In short, Lucien wanted to be the Demon King to be able to destroy people like Laplace, people whom the rules completely protect.
Of course, that would hardly work, and I doubt Lucien could destroy those rules that protect the noble demons. No noble demon would accept that because demons are chaotic beings. At most, it would work for a few months before everything went back to how it was before until the day Lucien died and passed the position to another.
But if there’s one thing Lucien has never forgotten, it’s his hatred for Laplace, the man who destroyed his beloved, the man he most wanted to kill his entire life.
"B-Brother Lucien, y-your bloodlust is l-leaking. I-I know it’s none of my business, b-but we have a mission. J-Just because Laplace is vulnerable doesn’t mean you can kill him r-right now. W-We have to do a mission for our father..." I say, swallowing dryly.
’Damn it... why do I have to protect this trash...’ I don’t want to protect Laplace, but I also can’t let him die here and now because Laplace is one of the best at dealing with warfare, especially with the chaotic and unpredictable succubus-type troops.
"W-We need him t-to lead... I-If you want to do something to h-him, do it after the war..." Lucien stares at me. I see the murderous intent in his eyes. Now is the best chance for him to kill Laplace, who is vulnerable. Even though doing so would break the rules and anger our father, this chance might never come again since Laplace seems so mentally fragile.
"..." I close my eyes in fear, but nothing happens. Soon, Lucien pats my head. I look at him, confused.
"You... have grown. You don’t seem like that pathetic little sister from before anymore. Before, you would never try to stop me... It seems marrying Esther made you evolve... You’re right... Now is not the time for me to kill Laplace... Our father gave us an order..." His gaze is still dangerous, but seems less intense.
"...A-Aahh... Aaahhhh" He grabs my horn, squeezing it so hard it feels like it’s going to break while pulling on it.
"I understand why you said that. But don’t get in my way again, Evelyn. Or perhaps, we won’t have a second conversation like this." He lets go of my horn and starts to leave.
"...T-Thank you..." Laplace thanks me. I turn to "him" and spit in his face in disgust.
"I didn’t protect you because I wanted to... I hate you... you’re trash..." I protected him because we need him.
"I did it for Esther. I want to make her proud. Otherwise, I would have let Lucien end your miserable life." I leave after that, still scared, but with the adrenaline keeping me going.
"..." I stop at the door, looking at this girl. Nothing remains of what used to be a horrible, lustful man.
"It seems the family has a new pathetic person to mock." While I am slowly growing, and even received a compliment from our father, he’s there, all shrunken in. It gives me more confidence in myself.
