Fairy Tail Destiny-Chapter 166: Ch : The Demon God’s Soul Move 2
Chapter 166 - Ch 166 : The Demon God's Soul Move 2
Lia sat quietly on the black throne, her hands crossed in front of her, her entire body relaxed as she leaned against the back of the chair.
Her eyes were closed, and there was a faint trace of exhaustion on her beautiful face.
Yet, despite this, she still radiated an air of elegant refinement.
"Master, are you tired?" Seeing that Lia seemed somewhat fatigued, the Second Throne, Tsukiyo, asked softly.
"Mm, just a little. I suppose I'm still not fully adjusted, but it's nothing serious. Don't worry." Lia's voice was calm as she continued, "Garlos... I'll leave the explanation of this mission to you. You all can discuss it among yourselves for now." With that, Lia closed her eyes, seemingly resting.
Garlos responded respectfully before turning to the others and speaking, "Our mission this time is to seize the 'Key' hidden within the dark mage—Zeref."
"Zeref?" Dylan frowned slightly. "Garlos, are you saying... the legendary dark mage who ravaged the continent four hundred years ago? He's still alive?"
"If he truly has the 'Key' inside him, then it's not surprising," Tsukiyo said coolly.
Stella yawned impatiently. "Who cares what he is? We just need to bring him back, right? Does he have to be alive, or is it fine if he's dead? After all, the only thing we need is the 'Key' inside him."
"It's best not to kill him," Garlos shook his head.
"Zeref's abilities are unique and could be useful to us. If possible, I'd prefer to keep him alive and bring him back."
"But before that, the most important thing is to find out where exactly he is, right?" Reign pointed out the crucial issue.
"You don't have to worry about that," Garlos extended his hand, and a glowing screen filled with ancient text appeared in his palm.
"Based on intelligence gathered by El, who infiltrated the Council, as well as information provided by the politicians and influential families we've been working with, we have now essentially confirmed Zeref's location."
"El... oh, you mean that guy we sent to infiltrate the Council a few years ago? To think he managed to obtain intel of this level... looks like he's quite capable. As for those officials and politicians, considering how many problems we've cleaned up for them, this kind of compensation is only natural."
"Our guild's intelligence network has only been around for less than a decade and is still far from perfect. For now, we have no choice but to rely on those filthy politicians and merchants to a certain extent... but it won't be for long."
"You're getting off-topic. So, back to the point—where exactly is Zeref?"
"The Holy Land of the Light Guild, Fairy Tail—Tenrou Island," Garlos stated.
"Fairy Tail? That's the wizard guild that Lord Nord joined, isn't it? Speaking of which, Reign, Dylan, you two have fought against Fairy Tail before, haven't you? How was it?" Tsukiyo asked.
"Pfft, don't even bring that up." Stella waved her hand mockingly and sneered, "These two actually lost. Lucky for them, they lost to Lord Nord. Otherwise... losing to outsiders and tarnishing the honor of the Thrones would have meant being stripped of their titles."
"....."
Reign and Dylan's expressions darkened as they fell silent.
Reign took it relatively well—being a newly appointed Throne, he was aware that his strength was still far behind the others, so no one had particularly mocked him for it.
He also knew Stella was just bringing him up in passing.
Dylan, on the other hand, was deeply frustrated.
Having Stella latch onto this failure and ridicule him felt like torture.
"Zeref... so it's time to fight again?" At that moment, the figure seated in the first position on the left throne suddenly spoke and slowly stepped out from the shadows.
A head of shoulder-length white hair, with pale purple tips near his right shoulder. freёweɓnovel.com
Deep violet eyes adorned his handsome face, and his slender physique gave off an air of fragility.
At first glance, he appeared to be a sickly nobleman, weak and delicate.
However, his seat among the Seven Thrones of the Demon God's Soul marked his true identity.
Garlos nodded at the white-haired boy and said, "Yes, I know you dislike battle, but this is something unavoidable, Lance."
The white-haired youth, Lance, let out a soft sigh, a faint trace of impatience flashing across his refined features. "Fighting is such a pointless and joyless affair... but since the decision has been made, so be it."
To those unfamiliar with Lance, his words might seem like mere reluctance or cowardice toward battle. But the people present knew better.
To Lance, combat itself was meaningless.
After all, true battle required both sides to be evenly matched, capable of harming one another.
Yet, for Lance, battle was nothing more than a one-sided massacre—utterly pointless, a complete slaughter.
"Oh, speaking of which, that Dark Guild—Grimoire Heart, was it? Their goal seems to be Zeref as well, right? We might run into them," Stella suddenly recalled, voicing her thoughts aloud.
"According to the intelligence sent by Ophelia, who arrived on Tenrou Island ahead of us, Grimoire Heart has also begun their assault on the island, aiming to take Zeref. However, it hardly matters," Garlos said indifferently.
"Among them, only their Guild Master, Hades, and their Vice Master, Bluenote, are worth paying attention to. Even then, Hades' strength is merely a notch above Dylan's at best. Of course, we should still be cautious—he seems to have some kind of hidden trump card."
"What do you mean 'a notch above me'? I refuse to admit that. Obviously, I'm the stronger one!"
"So basically, we just need to take care of all of them, right? Whether it's Grimoire Heart or Fairy Tail."
"That certainly would be the simplest solution."
..............
"Alright, that's enough. Everyone, stop."
Seated on the black throne, Lia spoke, halting the argument among the seven below.
Then, she slowly lifted her face, her deep blue eyes seeming to pierce through vast distances, locking onto the small island standing amidst the sea.
"Since Ophelia has already gone ahead, it's time for us to move as well. Tsukiyo, I'll leave Zeref to you. Handle it however you see fit—just make sure to bring him back alive."
"Understood, Master. I will complete the mission without fail." Tsukiyo nodded respectfully.
"Reign, use your magic to summon the fastest possible means of transport to our destination. As for the rest of you, take care of the Fairy Tail members and the ones from this 'Grimoire Heart' guild you mentioned. And finally... Nord-niisama. I will meet him personally."
"Yes, Master!"
"Uh, wait a minute..."
A hesitant, almost timid voice interrupted.
The group turned to see Dylan slowly raising his hand.
"Can I not take the transport? I really don't..."
"Just accept your fate, Dylan," Garlos said with a slightly malicious smile.
"Dylan, are you an idiot?" Stella sneered mercilessly.
"What other way do you have to get there? Are you planning to use your half-baked dragon transformation magic and fly with dragon wings? Give it up. You'll run out of magic halfway and drop dead."
"I... I could swim there..."
"Denied." The First Throne, Lance, stated calmly. "I highly doubt your swimming speed can keep up with us. Your best bet is convincing Stella to use magic to help you."
"Ugh!" Dylan froze for a moment, then slowly turned his gaze to Stella, who was smiling at him ever so gently.
"Uh... Stella..." Dylan swallowed hard, speaking hesitantly.
"Dylan, please go to hell and repent for your sins," Stella said with a sweet smile.
"Lady Stella, you are so merciful. Surely you wouldn't hold a grudge against me, right?" Dylan's mouth twitched.
"Merciful? That's something you should discuss with God. As for me..." Stella let out a soft chuckle, covering her mouth as she turned away. "I'm just sending you over to meet Him."
"Wait, why is it God now? Who even has jurisdiction over me?!" Dylan clutched his head in frustration.

Far across the sea from the Dark Magic Castle, a magical motorboat sped swiftly across the water, leaving waves in its wake.
Standing aboard the vessel was a delicate-looking young man with black hair and brown eyes.
His expression carried a hint of urgency as he gazed into the distant horizon, murmuring softly to himself, "Tenrou Island has finally been unsealed. I need to move quickly. If my guess is correct, they should have already started their operation as well. If I don't find Zeref before they do, things will get troublesome."
The magical motorboat surged forward once again, accelerating rapidly toward Tenrou Island.
