Fake Professor, Misunderstood As Strong-Chapter 312: The Anomaly Descends.
What is a wormhole?
It's a portal that punctures right through the space-time fabric and connects two places in the universe.
Which means, a wormhole always has two openings.
If you can enter from one side and exit from the other, you can also enter from the other side and exit from the first one too.
Jareth wasn't the only one who could enter the portal from this side; the opposite was also possible.
In simple words, Jareth's wormhole was never a one-sided portal; if there was any being on the other side of the portal, they could also enter it and come inside the 'Sea of Endless Miasma.'
When the massive secret artifact of Jareth was blown apart by the miasmic spear, Zion's armor protected everyone, and most of the residual blow was suffered by Jareth alone.
Mark and others were not blown that far, and they were also able to maintain their consciousness.
In that moment of absolute despair, they saw something that caused them to widen their eyes in absolute shock.
Mark saw that the portal that Jareth had opened was still intact even after the powerful explosion.
Although it had lost its energy source and it was starting to fade away, it was still taking a little bit of time.
If left like that, it would disappear given enough time, but that never happened.
A pitch-black sword appeared from inside the football-sized portal and slowly sliced downwards. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞
The sword split apart the space-time fabric and widened the portal by sheer force!
The sword cut through space so easily, as if it were a hot knife slicing through butter!
*Step!* *Step*
A young man wearing a dark black robe walked out of the portal; he looked like he was barely even 20, and his entire robe had golden designs of swords embroidered on it.
There were golden words written on his back in an unknown language, and the symbol of a 'Dark Star' shining with golden light was embroidered.
The moment the young man stepped on the soil of the planet, the entire 'Sea of Endless Miasma' trembled as if it was afraid of something.
It hurriedly started to retreat; while retreating, it was even faster than it had rushed forward to obliterate everything.
The young man's face was completely emotionless, and even his eyes looked as if they belonged to a dead person; there was no light in them.
There was no aura radiating from the young man; even his presence seemed untraceable, yet Mark and others instinctively understood that this being was no ordinary existence.
The young man looked in the direction where Jareth had been blown away, and then his body blurred and disappeared.
The next moment he was standing right beside Jareth.
He looked towards the sky and spoke in a calm and emotionless voice.
*Stop Otherwise-*
"Otherwise, what?"
"Can you stay quiet for a while? speaking directly into the head of a dying person is not something to boast about…"
For some reason, Jareth could understand the language of that young man even though he had never heard that language before.
"Hmm? You are quite weird; I already analysed the 'Strings' of 'destiny' in this planet, but only you are missing them…"
"Also why is it that the 'strings' of 'destiny' around this planet so chaotic… almost as if some chaotic event broke a very important 'node' in between them somehow…"
*YOU!!!! WHO ARE YOU!!! WHAT ARE YOU!!! WHERE DID YOU COME FROM!!! YOU MERE INSECT!!!*
"Did I allow you to talk?"
The young man waved his sword in the air.
The swing was so slow and so weak that Jareth almost mistook it for a normal swing.
But the consequences of that swing were anything but normal.
Jareth's eyes widened in sheer shock when he saw the massive body of the demon god Azeroth evaporate into nothingness, and even the space-time fabric around him broke apart into smithereens!
*CRACK* *SHATTER*
The 'Endless Sea of Miasma' hurriedly retreated in fear, and the hundreds of demons and monsters were instantly obliterated along with their 'god' in a matter of milliseconds.
"This!? You… what!?"
The young man shrugged his shoulders as he put his sword back in his sheath.
"Err, it's nothing special, just 'Sliced' his existence along with his minions… kind of got the ability a while back…"
"By the way, it was you who opened that portal, right? Thanks for that; I was trying to find a way inside the Sea of Miasma but couldn't find an opening…"
"The sea of miasma is extremely defensive against me and wasn't letting me in, so with your help and the advice from a 'certain' old fox, I ended up finding my way in today…"
Hearing the young man's words, Jareth finally understood what had happened.
"No wonder… no wonder it took the destiny and fate of the entire world to open that portal…"
Realization dawned upon Jareth in that moment.
The system and the destiny of this world knew that Jareth would fail if conventional means were used.
Thus, it took the help of something unconventional, the destiny and fate of the world; the protagonist, Allen, was sacrificed in return for a 'possibility.'
A possibility to create and make the portal appear near this young man.
The destiny judged that only by opening a portal near this unknown young man could this world be saved with his help.
In other words, Jareth did not lose; his 'plan' succeeded. In fact, it succeeded so greatly that not only Jareth but also the entire planet escaped destruction!
"Err… Don't tell me that the 'strings' of 'destiny' in this place are so chaotic because of me coming here?..."
"My bad, man… I always end up causing weird 'Anomalies' everywhere I go…"
"By the way, I didn't tell you my name right…"
The young man placed a hand on the hilt of his sword as he spoke with a wide grin.
"I am Rio Flash, A humble swordsman… hmm, a friendly neighbourhood 'Anomaly'… hehe…"
Before Jareth could understand anything, the young man who referred to himself as 'Rio' unsheathed his sword and raised it towards the sky.
"I kind of prefer talking in secluded places; that miasmic sea is staring daggers at us. We might as well leave while we can…"
*RUMBLE!* *Rumble!!*
Jareth felt the entire planet tremble a little, and then he saw a massive, gigantic portal appear above the planet.
The portal was a wormhole so big that it could swallow the entire planet easily.
"What the actual f*ck!?"
Opening a football-sized portal took Jareth his entire lifetime worth of efforts, but the young man completely overshadowed that feat.
The entire planet was pushed by an overwhelming force into the portal and came out from the other end of the portal in an instant.
The teleportation was so safe and stable that Jareth could not believe his eyes.
[Sword Intent!]
[Elemental Sword Art: Miasma Type: Miasmic Absorption!]
All the miasma that was plaguing and destroying their planet from the inside out was forcefully sucked out of the entire planet.
Mark and the others who were infected with miasmic corruption all got purified in a matter of mere milliseconds!
The scene was so surreal that Jareth almost mistook it for a dream!
'Don't tell me that the demon god Azeroth already won and now he's showing me this dream to crush my hopes later on?'
No matter how many times Jareth tried to close and open his eyes, he found out that it was not a dream at all.
Everything was real.
Their planet had escaped destined doom; Jareth had won the 'Final Relay Race.'
He managed to turn his portal opening device into an invitation letter and successfully delivered it to the doorstep of the exact one person in the entire universe who could help them fight against the Sea of Miasma.
Their planet was teleported to a safe location outside the 'Sea of Miasma,' and even the miasmic corruption was removed.
*Cough!* *Cough!*
Although the miasmic corruption from his body was removed, Jareth was still hanging at death door.
Mark and others immediately rushed over to Jareth's side when they recovered.
"Professor Jareth! Are you okay!? Oh, God, he's injured; he's heavily injured!!"
Mark rushed straight to Jareth's side without caring about his injuries; Risa, Reynald, Azul, Thomas, and everyone else also came rushing one after another.
They were all comrades who had fought a battle of life and death together, and they all were worried about Jareth's health.
Jareth was the one who got hit severely, and the unknown young man had also gone in his direction, making everyone confused and scared.
They all witnessed the inhumane feats of the young man; they all were happy that they had finally survived.
All beings who had survived started laughing and jumping in sheer joy!
They had survived a doomsday after all; it was something worth being happy about from the bottom of one's heart.
Mark and others were happy too, but they didn't have the opportunity to laugh yet; they immediately brought healing potions and gave them to Jareth.
"Nothing will happen, nothing will happen, we won, we won, professor! Your secret weapon worked, professor! You managed to summon a powerful person to help us all!"
Mark gave the high-grade healing potions to Jareth with trembling hands, but to his despair, no potion worked on Jareth anymore.
His body started to turn into small particles of light and started shattering like a glass breaking apart.
"Hehe… silly kid… I have sacrificed my 'destiny' and 'fate' itself… I have no future to be in this world; I cannot stay in this world anymore. I have broken the restrictions of the world…"
"I don't have much longer left to live…"
Hearing Jareth's words, everyone's face lost color, and a look of shock and despair appeared on their faces.
"T-this how can this be!? No no!! no!! this can't be!! This can't be!!!"
Tears flowed out of Mark's eyes as he cried, clutching Jareth's fading body in his arms.
Risa fell down on her knees and could not speak anything; Azul covered his mouth with his hands as tears flowed out of his eyes.
Everyone had a sad look on their faces in that moment. But Jareth, Jareth was smiling.
