Falling For My Accidental CEO Husband-Chapter 302: Perfect
Chapter 302: Perfect
Cash Stenton looked at the woman sitting still, her back to him. She hadn’t moved an inch since he walked in. He shifted his attention to Dale, confused.
"Is this some kind of joke?" he asked. "You can’t just put anyone in that circle and—"
He stopped talking as the woman turned around to face him.
Holy shit.
She was... perfect. Not in a dramatic way, but in a way that mattered to their mission. She had the right look—clean, elegant, and composed. Her face was open, almost innocent, but her eyes told another story. There was something sharp there. Stubbornness. Fire. Maybe even trouble.
Cash narrowed his eyes slightly and glanced at Dale. Of course. The man really was a devil. Somehow, he’d found the exact type they needed. But finding her was one thing—training her was another. She needed to learn how to move in that world. The habits, the small details, the rules.
But then he looked again and noticed the details. The woman might seem simple at first glance, but everything she was wearing told a different story. From head to toe, she was dressed in high-end fashion. He didn’t know the brands, but he didn’t need to. It was obvious. The tailoring, the fabric, the shoes—everything screamed money.
Who was this woman?
Before he could speak, the woman cleared her throat. Her voice was soft, but steady.
"I assure you, this is not a joke. I am not a joke."
Cash cleared his throat and looked toward Dale again, suddenly aware of how this might have come across.
"I didn’t mean you’re a—"
Dale finally stepped in, cutting him off before he could dig any deeper.
"Ella, meet Cash—my immediate superior. Cash, this is Ella Hawk."
Cash moved to shake her hand, but the name hit him mid-motion, and he hesitated.
Hawk?
There was only one Hawk family in international business. Everyone knew the name. Aiden Hawk. A man no one had ever managed to get dirt on. The same Aiden Hawk who had two half-siblings. One was his younger brother—Nate Hawk—who was already gaining attention. And the other was the sister. The one who was kept away from the spotlight. Protected. Hidden.
Ella Hawk?
Cash looked at the woman again, this time more carefully. If she really was who Dale said she was, then this wasn’t a joke at all.
This was something else entirely. Dangerous, even.
Not many people knew the full extent of it, but Aiden Hawk didn’t just care about his half-siblings—he guarded them. Protected them with a level of control and loyalty that bordered on territorialism. And if this really was that Ella Hawk—the one kept out of public view, the one never mentioned except in hushed tones due to being protected by Aiden—then they were walking into dangerous territory.
"Are you really...?" Cash asked, voice low, uncertain.
Ella looked at Dale, who gave her a small nod. Then she turned back to Cash and said clearly, "If you mean to ask whether I’m really Ella Hawk, sister of Aiden Hawk—yes, I am."
Cash let out a breath, then shook his head slowly.
"Holy shit. How did Dale get you to sign up for this?"
He didn’t expect an answer, and none came. Not really. Ella just offered a calm, almost unreadable smile. But Cash wasn’t focused on that anymore-his thoughts were racing ahead.
With Aiden Hawk’s name attached to anything, the game changed. The traffickers they were targeting would be all over this. If they got even the slightest whiff that they had a chance at using Ella Hawk for leverage, they’d jump at it. No hesitation. After all, if you could get a grip on someone like Aiden Hawk, you could control anyone.
But that was only half of it.
There was a flip side—an ugly one. If anything happened to her, if she so much as got a scratch, they wouldn’t just be dealing with angry media or failed operations. They’d be dealing with him. Aiden Hawk wouldn’t ask questions. He wouldn’t forgive. frёeweɓηovel_coɱ
Before Cash could say anything else, Dale cut in.
"Ella, I’ll make arrangements for the next phase of the mission. If you want to return to the hospital for now..."
Ella nodded without a word. She gave Cash a polite nod before walking out of the room. The door clicked shut behind her.
The silence that followed was heavy.
Cash turned to Dale, jaw tight. "Damn it, Devil. Are you insane? Have you thought about what Aiden Hawk will do if..."
Dale took a deep breath and cut him off. "Aiden volunteered her."
Cash stared at him, eyes wide. "What?"
"You heard me," Dale said flatly. "He volunteered her."
Cash’s mouth went dry. For a moment, he just blinked, trying to process the words. "Aiden Hawk volunteered his own sister for an undercover sting operation involving human traffickers?"
Dale nodded once. Calm. Unbothered.
"That doesn’t make any sense," Cash said. "That man probably doesn’t even let his sister breathe without knowing who’s in the room. Why the hell would he let her step into something like this?"
"Because it’s perfect," Dale replied. "We’re looking for someone who fits a very specific profile—an heiress who’s had a falling out with her powerful family, who seems isolated, emotionally vulnerable, and easy to manipulate. But we also need that person to be known. Someone who still carries enough weight that the traffickers think she’s worth breaking their usual rules for. Ella is perfect for it.
He gave Cash a moment to let that sink in before continuing. "And the best part? She doesn’t need to act. The world already thinks that she has had a falling out with her brother due to Charles Hawk and has since been ousted by Aiden Hawk. Already there are rumors that Aiden Hawk has abandoned her, due to his absence when she was in and out of the hospital."
"So? Has there really been a falling out, since you say he has volunteered her..."
"Not really. Let’s just say this is a learning curve for Miss Hawk..."
