Falling for the Omega Idol-Chapter 225: HYUNSIK’S DELUSION
HANEUL was so completely caught off guard that he just stood there frozen. This was the first time another guy had ever stood behind him like that, hands reaching for his hips. He hated it. Not just his body, but something deeper in him was pushing hard against it. His hand curled into a fist. He was ready to drive his elbow back, no longer caring about the cameras. He didn’t care if anyone saw. He just didn’t want Jeon Hyunsik touching him. But right before he could move, Baek Eunwoo called to them.
"Hyunsik, Haneul. Suho and I just came up with a good move. Come take a look."
Jeon Hyunsik stopped what he was planning to do and turned toward Eunwoo. Haneul didn’t wait and hurried. He used the moment to step away from Jeon Hyunsik and rushed to where Eunwoo and Suho were standing.
Eunwoo watched as Haneul practically fled toward them, moving like he was escaping some serial killer. Which was probably exactly how the other felt. He glanced over at Jeon Hyunsik. There was a brief flicker of disappointment on his face before it disappeared and he started walking over to join them. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶
Seeing this, Eunwoo let out a frustrated sigh. He’d already suspected Jeon Hyunsik was interested in Haneul in that way. That’s why he’d made a point to keep an eye on things, to make sure Haneul didn’t end up in any uncomfortable situations with the other. And he’d almost failed just now. This was only the second day. They still had a lot more days ahead of them as a team.
He could already feel a headache forming behind his eyes. But he kept the smile fixed on his face. He couldn’t let his emotions show. He was the leader of this team. Even if they had someone like Jeon Hyunsik in their group, he still had to make sure they delivered an excellent performance.
"What move did you come up with, hyung?" Haneul managed to ask in a steady voice.
After spending the whole day together yesterday, they had all agreed to drop the formal language. Eunwoo had insisted they call him ’hyung’, and Haneul had agreed with no issue. But even though he’d agreed, he still referred to Jeon Hyunsik as Jeon Hyunsik inside his own head. He would speak to him informally if he had to, but he would never call him by just his name or call him hyung. Especially not after what had just happened.
When Jeon Hyunsik moved to stand next to him, Haneul nearly flinched. He caught himself at the last second and stayed where he was, forcing his body not to react. He kept his eyes fixed on Eunwoo and quietly, without drawing attention, shifted one small step away from Jeon Hyunsik.
Hyunsik watched this and smiled to himself. Haneul probably thought he was being subtle with his movements, but Hyunsik could clearly see how uncomfortable he was. Ah, how cute. The way Haneul tried so hard to act normal, to not show that he was bothered, was kind of adorable.
It made Hyunsik want to chase him even more.
He’d been interested in Haneul for a while now. How could he not be, when the guy was easily the prettiest Omega in the entire program? He still remembered the first time he saw Haneul without those glasses. He was so stunned that he probably stood there staring for a full minute without even realizing it.
Hyunsik had thought about approaching him before, but with the vocal mission and everything else going on, he never got a real chance. Plus, Haneul was always surrounded by people. Three of them were Alphas, and two of those just happened to be the contestants ranked first and second.
He thought about those two and what happened after the recent elimination round. The way they’d stood face to face with Haneul caught in the middle made it pretty clear they were interested in him too. And honestly, who could blame them? But knowing that two other Alphas wanted Haneul just stirred something in Hyunsik. His competitive spirit kicked in. He wanted to win. He wanted to have Haneul.
And it seemed fate was finally on his side. They were in the same team now, stuck together for this entire dance mission. By the time it was over, he’d make sure Haneul felt something for him. He knew he couldn’t do anything too obvious with the cameras filming them almost all the time. But that didn’t mean he couldn’t do anything at all. He just had to be smart about it. Small touches here and there, lingering looks, brief moments that seemed innocent but added up over time. If he played it right, Haneul wouldn’t even realize what was happening until it’s too late.
Hyunsik had tried to make his move just now. He was going to hold Haneul close under the pretense of guiding his movements. He even thought about leaning in just a little, close enough to catch a hint of Haneul’s scent from the back of his neck. But before he could, Baek Eunwoo called them over and ruined it.
For a second, he wondered if Baek Eunwoo had done that on purpose. But that goody-two-shoes Beta probably didn’t have a clue what he was really trying to do with Haneul.
He shook off the thought and turned his attention to Baek Eunwoo and Lim Suho, waiting for them to show the move they had called him and Haneul over to see.
Eunwoo cleared his throat and turned to Suho. "Why don’t you show them, Suho? You’re the one who came up with most of it, after all."
Lim Suho nodded eagerly. "Yes, hyung!"
Suho got into position. Eunwoo started humming the melody of their assigned part and clapping out the rhythm. Suho moved through the sequence they had worked on. He stepped to the side first, then dropped into a low body roll that traveled from his chest down to his knees. He pushed back up and twisted, one arm sweeping out while the other stayed close to his body.
He ended with a quick footwork pattern that matched the faster beats Eunwoo was clapping. The whole thing flowed from one move to the next with no awkward pauses.
