Falling in Love With My Arranged-Marriage Husband-Chapter 290 - 264: It’s Only Right for Me to Be Good to You
Chapter 290: Chapter 264: It’s Only Right for Me to Be Good to You
The villa on the island was about the same size as Yujing Apartment, but structurally it was much simpler and more spacious, which made it appear larger than Yujing Apartment.
The decor was also entirely in vacation style; since it was on an island, the villa had nearly all-encompassing large floor-to-ceiling windows, perfectly blending with nature.
Such openness is rarely seen in the buildings in the city.
Fu Yisi was not quite sure at first if Ji Sang would like such a design, but now it seemed she adored it.
Ji Sang indeed liked such a design, as it allowed her to closely appreciate the natural changes, but as a place of residence, she would feel uncomfortable.
Her inherent lack of a sense of security would not let her choose such a house, plus, the privacy was really not great.
But now it was different, this was just a temporary place to stay, and on the whole island, there was only her and Fu Yisi, no one else.
"I really like it."
Ji Sang’s joy was visible to the naked eye.
The vague worry in Fu Yisi’s heart finally settled down.
"Fortunately."
Fortunately, he had not vetoed this plan when he had it renovated.
After touring the whole house, Ji Sang was taken by Fu Yisi to the terrace.
From the courtyard downstairs, one couldn’t see the whole picture, but once here, Ji Sang realized that Fu Yisi had also specially arranged something.
It was a trick similar to the red carpet path at Houyu Beach, but on the terrace, the photos used in the decoration were all of Ji Sang—
When she was cooking, when she was taking photographs, when she was sleeping...
All were taken in Yujing Apartment, clearly done by Fu Yisi when she was not paying attention.
Most importantly, Fu Yisi’s photography skills turned out to be quite good.
Ji Sang had looked carefully; under her complete unawareness, whether it was the angle or the coloring, Fu Yisi did a great job.
"How did you think to take these photos? Also, I didn’t expect Mr. Fu’s photography skills to be so good!"
It was unexpected.
Fu Yisi raised his eyebrows slightly.
"I took them simply because I wanted to, and as for photography skills..."
The man laughed.
"Mrs. Fu is so amazing, I couldn’t lag behind."
Although Fu Yisi had always been extremely quick to grasp things since he was young, he still had to spend time and effort to understand the logic behind new fields. Of course, he would not mention his attempts and failures behind the scenes.
Ji Sang knew in her heart that he must have taken the time to learn this.
For a moment, Ji Sang didn’t know how to react.
The surprise prepared by Fu Yisi had exceeded her expectations.
Even in his busy times, he was willing to make time and put effort into preparing these things. Such romantic gestures, she had originally thought he disdained, since they did not seem to match Fu Yisi’s consistent nature.
He was a man of action and pragmatism.
But not only did he do it, he did it so well.
Ji Sang had never yearned for romance, but what woman would reject romance?
For a moment, Ji Sang suddenly felt a sense of guilt.
During the time she had returned to the country, without a doubt, the one who had given more in their relationship was Fu Yisi.
It was Fu Yisi who was leading the way, patiently waiting for her and teaching her.
Although now their relationship was passionate and stable, upon reflection, she always found her contributions to be insufficient.
Fu Yisi instantly noticed the change in Ji Sang’s expression, and the smile on his lips faded a bit.
"What’s the matter?"
Ji Sang shook her head, not knowing how to express her inner thoughts.
But when she looked up and saw the tenderness in Fu Yisi’s eyes that was exclusively for her, her nose tingled, and impulsively, she threw herself into Fu Yisi’s embrace.
The man was knocked back slightly, but he still wrapped his arms around Ji Sang in his embrace firmly at the first moment.
"What’s wrong?"
Fu Yisi looked down at the person in his arms.
Ji Sang just tightened her arms around his waist and buried her face into Fu Yisi’s chest again.
Fu Yisi’s eyes and brows softened slightly, unclear about this sudden burst of emotion from Ji Sang. His hand rested on her back, gently patting her.
"Are you moved?"
The man’s tone carried a hint of amusement, trying to console Ji Sang in such a manner.
But the person in his arms nodded.
Ji Sang’s voice was somewhat muffled.
"Fu Yisi, you are too good."
Ji Sang had said this before. The man furrowed his brows, applying a bit more strength in his hands to pull Ji Sang away a little, then lifted her chin gently, making her look at him.
With that look, Fu Yisi felt a shock in his heart.
"Why are you crying?"
Ji Sang’s eyes were rimmed with red, and she shook her head.
"I’m not."
After saying so, she pressed her lips tightly together, trying to contain the sudden rush of emotion.
Ji Sang wasn’t someone prone to emotional fluctuations, let alone crying. But in front of Fu Yisi, she seemed unlike the cool and indifferent Ji Sang who appeared as though she was indifferent to worldly matters.
Fu Yisi tapped Ji Sang’s nose lightly.
"Is this not crying?"
Ji Sang bit her lip, the more gentle and indulgent Fu Yisi was, the deeper the guilt in her heart.
She always felt that she wasn’t good enough.
"Fu Yisi, you prepared so much, but I haven’t prepared anything."
With these words, Fu Yisi understood what Ji Sang was troubled about, somewhat helplessly.
"Is it because of this?"
Ji Sang wrinkled her nose.
"You prepared the ring, this island, this house, but I...."
The man interrupted her words.
"Have you forgotten the wedding photos from yesterday? I am very clear how much these things should be prepared."
Ji Sang, however, still seemed listless.
"Fu Yisi, what should I do?"
How do I deserve his deep affection, his pampering?
Fu Yisi applied strength in his hands, sitting down on the swing with Ji Sang in his arms.
"Why would you think that, hmm?"
"I love you, just because it’s you, you attract me, and so I am willing to give."
"This kind of giving doesn’t seek a reward; what I want is for you to be properly loved."
"You are my wife; it’s only natural that I treat you well."
"Ah Shang, do you think you haven’t done enough?"
Seeing the woman in his arms really nod as he thought, the man felt a frustration pinch at her hand.
"But in my view, you’ve done a lot."
"You didn’t reject my love, you took the initiative to come to me, and I am grateful for that."
"Our marriage began hastily; I am fully aware that you lack a sense of security, and even at the beginning, you doubted my feelings for you."
"But then again, does liking another person need a reason? I like you and fell in love with you. And the greatest reward I got is that you like me in return and come towards me."
"After that, every day when I return home from the hospital, there is someone who has turned on the light, sitting in the dining room, with a meal prepared on the table, waiting for my return."
"Ah Shang, you don’t know what this means to me."
"Wondering why I photograph you? Because every time I see you busy for me, your sleeping face, I shed all the weariness from my body."
"What I do is simply things that can be achieved with the help of money."
"Ah Shang, compared to that, you’ve given much more than I have."
