Famous Among Top Surgeons in the 90s-Chapter 40 - : Emergency on Train【40】4
Chapter 40: Emergency on Train【40】4
Hearing the conversation between this mother and daughter, everyone became confused.
Aunt Fang stared blankly, unsure of what was happening. She looked back and noticed: hey, it seemed that her husband had stopped frothing at the mouth.
“Wait, wait, my old man seems to be waking up,” said Aunt Fang.
The scene was now a mess, and it appeared that no one heard Aunt Fang’s words. Except for Xie Wanying, who kept her eyes fixed on the patient’s heart, monitoring the heartbeat.
“What do you mean ‘waking up’? He needs CPR right now. Move aside and let my daughter, the doctor, save him,” Mother Lin urgently yelled at Aunt Fang.
Sun Rongfang couldn’t stand it any longer and tried to calm the two down: “Can you please stop adding to the chaos?”
“What chaos? Your daughter is not a doctor, my daughter is!” Mother Lin turned and waved her hand dismissively at Sun Rongfang.
Really, this mother and daughter. Sun Rongfang rolled her eyes.
“Everybody stop!” Amidst the disordered crowd, the train attendant had to raise their voice and shout, “There is a professional doctor here.”
A professional doctor? The Lin mother and daughter had to turn around: “What professional doctor?”
Standing next to the attendant, a genteel middle-aged man adjusted his glasses and introduced himself: “I am the Chief of General Surgery at Xuanwu Hospital, my surname is Wu.”
Director Wu from a major hospital! Mother Lin was excited and pleased, eagerly hinting at her daughter with a wink: “He’s a doctor from your internship hospital, could it be—”
Lin Liqiong, however, shuddered inexplicably, because the medical teacher’s gaze upon her seemed a bit off.
Director Wu moved forward, crouched down to check Uncle Fang’s current condition, felt his pulse, and placed his ear close to the patient’s chest to listen for the heartbeat. He nodded in satisfaction: the patient’s heartbeat had clearly restored a normal sinus rhythm, and the visible froth at the corners of the mouth confirmed that the patient had just experienced a terrifying brush with death, having nearly passed away.
“How is he?” Mother Lin anxiously asked Director Wu, “Is he not going to make it, all because she pounded on the patient’s chest?” As she spoke, she pointed accusingly at Xie Wanying.
Aunt Fang looked at Director Wu, equally nervous.
The surrounding crowd swallowed hard, the scene before them was chaotic indeed. It was unclear who was the real medical student or doctor.

“No, she did a good job,” Director Wu suddenly declared decisively, “The patient has been saved for now. An ambulance will take him when we arrive at the station. Don’t move him carelessly for now.”
“I know, you mean my daughter saved him,” Mother Lin smugly replied, pulling her own daughter forward. Since the doctor was from her daughter’s hospital, he must surely be speaking about her daughter.
“No, I am saying that she did an exceptionally good job,” Director Wu shook his head, denying Mother Lin’s shameless boastfulness, and stood up to ask Xie Wanying, “Which hospital’s young doctor are you?”
What? Director Wu called her ‘doctor’? Mother Lin and Lin Liqiong gasped in surprise.
“You’re mistaken, she’s not a doctor, she’s just a first-year medical student,” Mother Lin hurriedly grabbed Director Wu’s arm, “My daughter is the doctor, she’s the one who saved his life.”
“But what I saw as I arrived was that your daughter was standing by, doing nothing,” said Director Wu truthfully, recalling how Lin Liqiong stood beside the patient screaming and panicking as he quickly followed the attendant, “Which hospital’s doctor is your daughter?”
