Fantasy Lord: Beginning with Daily Intelligence-Chapter 222 - 156: Thor: Do You Think I Can Survive??? (2)
"Thank you for your hospitality during this time."
Thor spoke solemnly as he rose to his feet.
"Thor, no, my friend, five thousand, just five thousand gold coins are also available for lending."
Stein Campbell watched Thor stand up and quickly spoke, forcing a smile onto his face.
"No, no, Lord Stein, three thousand gold coins, that is already my limit. Originally, it was worth only two thousand five hundred gold coins, was it not?"
"If you are unwilling, then I truly apologize."
Thor sighed as he spoke, shaking his head.
His figure hesitated no longer and continued towards the door.
"This!"
"Thor, my friend!"
"You misunderstood, three thousand, just three thousand gold coins!"
Stein Campbell spoke, feeling as though he had swallowed a fly, making him extremely uncomfortable.
But reaching this point, he could only agree.
At this moment, his eyes couldn’t help but flash with a fierce light.
But he quickly suppressed it.
"Hahaha, it truly is a misunderstanding!"
"My friend!"
Thor laughed and nodded.
Once the two reached an agreement, everything went much more smoothly.
What followed was merely the settlement.
This wasn’t much of an issue.
After Thor left, Rajos would be sent over for the settlement.
Inside the castle, watching Thor and his party leave.
Stein Campbell’s face darkened slightly.
"Descendants of Dressrosa!"
"You best hope to die in this Divine Revelation, otherwise my Stein Campbell’s territory is not so easily swallowed."
"Thor Dressrosa!"
Stein Campbell murmured, his eyes cold, with a trace of killing intent spreading within.
"Lazio!"
Stein Campbell called out.
"My lord!"
A knight entered, speaking respectfully.
"Inform them to speed up, in ten days, we’ll be departing."
Stein Campbell commanded.
"Yes!"
The knight responded respectfully.
Thor did not witness this scene.
Of course, even without seeing it, Thor could understand what these powerful lords were thinking.
On one hand, they were discarding resources they couldn’t take with them, at least to minimize losses. On the other hand, even if the Divine Revelation ended, they could just seize it back.
The Dressrosa Family is merely a Count’s Clan, surely it couldn’t hold them off.
No matter how you calculate, it’s not a loss.
But clearly, they did not know that today’s Dressrosa Family was not the same as before.
When they return, everything will be completely different. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶
To abandon it, and then want it back, is nothing but a delusion.
With a smile at the corner of his mouth.
On the road back, Thor’s expression carried a hint of satisfaction.
This trip, he could say, was supremely successful.
With three thousand gold coins, he secured a significant portion of a powerful lord’s resources, something unimaginable in the past, but now easily accomplished.
As for any anger or resentment Stein Campbell might hold.
This man must first survive leaving the Northern Province.
Killing intent.
Under the Natural Elf Contract, he could sense it very strongly.
Originally, he was contemplating how to act, to bring that Elf Maiden out.
Now there’s no need to consider it at all.
He could even profit greatly from it.
In the great turmoil of the Northern Province, with the arrival of Divine Revelation, not to mention Pioneer Lords, even the deaths of some powerful nobility seem commonplace. Several Counts have already been laid to rest in this time along the Northern Defense Line.
One more Campbell descendant, it seems, is also normal.
Of course, how exactly to act, he still needs to plan carefully.
Five days later.
His figure returned to Tono Territory.
Rajos had long arrived.
Inside the room.
"My lord!"
Rajos spoke respectfully.
Thor remained silent, lost in thought.
Until a moment later.
Thor’s voice emerged.
"Rajos, on the west side of Tono Territory, twenty-three miles out, there’s a Thorny Vine, go cut its vines, extract its sap, soak it over the gold coins, seal it well, then hand it over to that Stein Campbell."
He spoke slowly.
The content of his words left Rajos a bit stunned and puzzled.
"Yes!"
Though puzzled, Rajos quickly responded.
He never refused Thor’s orders, and this time was no exception.
"Make sure to seal it well!"
"Before reaching Stein Campbell, do not open it."
"This time, I will have Pelos accompany you. You need do nothing, just hand these gold coins over to Baron Campbell."
Thor tapped on the table, then spoke slowly.
"Yes!"
Rajos nodded, his heart skipping a beat.
He wasn’t foolish; if he still didn’t know what was happening, that would truly be a problem.
Yet at this moment, Rajos forcibly calmed his racing heart.
"Go now!"
Thor waved a hand.
"I take my leave!"
Controlling his pounding heart, Rajos retreated from the room.
Soon after, Rajos quickly found Pelos.
The two began to take action.
To ensure safety.
Rajos didn’t call upon others.
Instead, he and Pelos acted together.
Watching from the window as the two departed, Thor withdrew his gaze.
In nearly two years, Rajos’ performance had been exceedingly satisfactory to him.
Enough even to earn his trust.
And precisely for this reason, he entrusted Rajos with this task.
"Master!"
With Rajos gone, Anna soon entered.
"Anna, can you contact that Elf?"
Thor inquired, looking at Anna with curious eyes.
"I can!"
"I can summon other Elves through the Elf Array, as long as the distance doesn’t exceed a thousand miles, I should feel it."
"Do you want to summon now?"
Anna’s voice rang out, carrying excitement.
Previously, when Thor told her not to make contact, she obliged. Now, hearing Thor’s inquiry, Anna couldn’t help but feel thrilled.
"Wait a bit longer!"
"Wait a few days, it should be fine!"
Thor smiled and nodded.
This didn’t surprise him much; he had thoroughly studied continental basic knowledge before his arrival.
He also had some understanding of Elves.
Elves and humans are not the same.
Forest Elves are almost all nurtured by the Tree of Life, while Natural Elves are born of elements.
Not to mention Natural Elves, each Forest Elf is an individual and yet a community, with a powerful connection that can achieve incredible things.
Communication among them is one such thing.
Thor had naturally considered this crucial point.
Or rather, it was because he knew this crucial point that he dared to act.
After all, without removing the Elf Maiden, there was little hope of scheming against that Campbell descendant.
Issues would easily arise.
Only once the Elf Maiden was removed could all problems cease to be problems.
