Farming in a Parallel World and Becoming a God-Chapter 1242 - 680: Love and Hatred Intertwined_3
Chapter 1242: Chapter 680: Love and Hatred Intertwined_3
For a long time, countless legends arose about these beautiful women.
Some say they were Tree Spirits, others say they were Lake Spirits, and there were also those who said they were Druids living in seclusion in the King’s Forest.
Many people were not grateful to them; instead, they blamed these incidents on them, believing that it was these women who had driven the animals to launch attacks on their villages and towns.
In the King’s Forest, the Tree Spirit Kingdom of Arosh, which had existed for who knows how many years, appeared before the common people of Komeer Kingdom under this misunderstood identity.
Far away in Susar, both King Yasan and the Court Archmage were startled and once again appeared above Bear Forest.
Looking at the unrecognizable Bear Forest, King Yasan said through gritted teeth: "This kid is a double-edged sword. If used well, he can bring us endless benefits; if not, he will hurt us first. I was originally planning to handle our relationship with Arosh in secret, but now everything is exposed in the open."
They took this opportunity to stir up trouble in the King’s Forest, and the Tree Spirit Kingdom of Arosh was another reason.
Not long ago, Queen Arosh Ladana Radanaxi and Court Archmage Feng Geda Hast had an unfriendly encounter, with both parties asserting their sovereignty over the King’s Forest.
It’s clearly an ungrateful task to wage war with Natural Spirits in the dense forest.
Moreover, with the Tukan Army advancing westward, the Komeer Kingdom couldn’t afford to start an internal war that they didn’t know how long it would last.
The best solution is to leave each other alone, just like before, pretending they don’t exist. After all, the Tree Spirits’ dependence on the forestland is even stronger than that of other Fae Race members; they would not easily step out of the forest.
But when the Tree Spirit Kingdom is exposed to public knowledge, things become more troublesome; it could escalate into a diplomatic incident. After all, the Royal Family needs to consider the attitudes of the populace below and cannot afford to have a reputation for inaction.
"In this world, there is no such thing as a perfect deal," said the Court Archmage with a carefree attitude. "It is his unique ability to think and do what ordinary people cannot. If we want to make use of him, we must endure what ordinary people cannot. Otherwise, before long, he will become as worthless as any young man."
"The foresight and magnanimity of the Archmage are indeed beyond me," sighed King Yasan. "What, in the Archmage’s opinion, should we do about this situation?"
"Your Majesty is worrying too much," said the Court Archmage with a cunning smile, "Since he is the one who caused this trouble, it’s only right and proper for him to be responsible for the aftermath."
"Exactly," agreed King Yasan with a nod, "He has an extraordinary natural aura and has just slain the Divine Nature Incarnation of Magla. It is only fitting for him to be our emissary to Arosh, and perhaps he could build a bridge for us and find a better way to handle this."
"This matter shouldn’t be rushed; we need to gather all the loss reports from below before we can slowly settle accounts with him," cautioned the Court Archmage.
"Right, let’s go back to the Purple Dragon Palace and wait for him," commanded King Yasan with a wave of his hand, as he and the Court Archmage vanished from sight.
King Yasan had already had two opportunities to meet Gaven from a few hundred meters away but deliberately avoided them.
The reason was the same as why Gaven didn’t use the Teleportation Spell to go directly to Susar—it was a matter of official procedure. To meet in private ahead of time would be to lower his own status, indirectly revealing his attitude, and putting himself at a disadvantage in the upcoming negotiations and power struggles.
After all, the manpower and resources at Gaven’s disposal meant that King Yasan could not treat him as a common petitioner, even if Gaven had indeed accepted the Rocklands title and become a Baron there, he would not be an ordinary Baron of Komeer.
If King Yasan lacked even this understanding, then he would not be worthy of being called the great reviver of the Komeer Kingdom.
No sooner had King Yasan departed than Crown Princess Tainalasta arrived in a whirlwind of fury. She didn’t have all the scheming of King Yasan and the Court Archmage; her only goal was to exact accountability, and the first damages from the Beast Uprising in the King’s Forest were reported to Luji Town. Just the partial reports from some towns were enough to make her head spin.
But when she flew directly above Bear Hunt Grounds, she was first stunned by the transformation.
It was no longer a clearing, but had been transformed back into a dense forest, denser than any other place. Riding on the Royal Griffon, looking down from the sky, the feeling was even more intense.
The newly sprung trees were far taller than the ordinary ones, at least twice as tall. All the trees had undergone a strange transformation, their bark and trunks blood-red, the leaves streaked with rich blood-colored veins. In the very center stood a giant tree over twenty meters in diameter, which wasn’t just one tree growing tall, but two intertwined, entangled with each other, reaching twice the height of its surroundings to form a massive canopy hung with enormous fruits, each the size of a watermelon, blood-red from the inside out, resembling benign little bears.
Even more astonishing is the apparent human Will in these trees; the upper halves of these trees intertwined with each other, forming a series of platforms, tree bridges, and intricately carved tree houses. Hundreds of tree houses connected together make up a huge aerial tree palace.
A chorus of bear Hou echoes from the forest below, and just from the sound, it’s clear that there are dozens, perhaps even more, bears gathered there.
Initially, the Beast Uprising was only suspected to be Gaven’s doing, but now Tainalasta was absolutely certain. The Bear Hunt Grounds, transformed into Bear Forest, were clear evidence. Only such a significant forest anomaly could give rise to such a unique place.
