Chapter 342 - Of course, It would be me

Michael ignored the girls and the men inside the place and quickly made his way towards the girl behind the reception desk who seems to be busy doing something on the computer in front of her.

The woman seems to also have noticed Michael as she slowly looked up and saw him, and when that happened, she stopped what she was doing and quickly showed a professional smile on her face.

"Good evening dear customer, are you here to have fun tonight? We have a lot of talented girls that are free who can certainly make you satisfied with their services"

The edge of Michael's lips couldn't help but twitch when he heard what she said, knowing that their high class service is nothing more than accompanying their customers and having fun with them, and the service that any men would certainly love to have is banned here.

Of course, Michael wasn't here for that in the first place and he remembered that Genesis and the others had repeatedly warned him not to cause trouble in this place as most of the Easterners who manages the branches in the Eastern hemisphere are troublesome and wouldn't hesitate to attack anyone who doesn't follow their rules, be it allies or enemies.

"All stars are born in the dark"

Michael ignored what she said and instead opened his mouth and said something that made the woman take him seriously.

"And all darkness dies in the light" continued the woman in a soft voice that only the two of them could hear.

The woman looked around for a bit, and then she spotted a fellow colleague who was standing in the doorway, fidgeting.

"Sasha, if you're not going to entertain someone, then come over here!"

A petite mature looking woman hurriedly came over with her head slightly looking down.

"Yes, Miss Daphne?" said the woman right after she arrived, she didn't even look at Michael like she was afraid of him noticing her, and instead placed all her attention at the woman on the reception desk.

Michael just gave her a glance before ignoring her.

"Stay here for the time being as I tend to this customer here, got it?" Daphne said to Sasha while gesturing to Michael.

"Yes, miss"

Daphne then turned his attention back to Michael and said to him, "Follow me, sir"

Michael nodded at her and followed her through a long corridor before they entered one of the rooms, and when they were inside, Daphne walked towards the only bookshelf inside the room and lightly pulled a book diagonally, and when she did that.

There was a soft rumbling sound coming from the back of the shelf before it was slightly lifted up from the floor and slid to the side, revealing a narrow passageway behind it.

"Make sure to follow behind me" Daphne said to Michael before she stepped inside, and Michael soon followed after her.

Ten seconds after Daphne and Michael had just left.

Sasha, the woman who looked uncomfortable, shy and out of place earlier had suddenly disappeared and was replaced by a serious and sly look on her face.

She pressed something behind her ear and whispered, "Mistress, that man is here, and Daphne had already led him inside"

And not even a second later, a reply came, "Alright, take care of the business tonight and make sure there's no trouble, and I'm giving you permission to punish anyone who comes looking for one tonight"

Daphne was quickly delighted hearing that, but she didn't show it in her voice and just calmly replied, "Yes mistress, I won't disappoint you"

But while Michael is busy with his matters tonight.

Amanda had just finished changing her clothes to a sleepwear.

While she was changing, the latest news about Fate Online was being broadcasted on TV.

Amanda looked towards the TV and listened, "It seems the other side of the continent is also getting merry with the appearance of the undead horde"

After saying that, she took one of the game helmets on the desk below the television before she walked towards the bed and placed the game helmet over her head, and laid down right after.

Shua!

Solitary Tempest appeared at the edge of a forest, where she can see a large city in the distance with towering high walls.

This scene would have been a sight to behold if it weren't for a large army that's camped more or less a mile away from the city, and with soldiers stationed along the walls.

"I'm finally here" said Solitary Tempest with a smile while shielding her eyes from the sun rising on the horizon.

Solitary Tempest quickly sent a message to Tiera that she had arrived and is currently at Wormwood Forest, south of the city.

And a couple of minutes later, Solitary Tempest saw a group of knights riding out from the east gate and was headed towards her direction.

Solitary Tempest jumped towards a boulder and waved her hand towards them before getting down as she watched them slowly get closer to her.

Rumble! Rumble! Rumble!

The group of knights stopped a hundred meters away from Solitary Tempest, while a red haired woman dressed in knight armor with a red cape fluttering behind her, made her mount slow down and trot towards Solitary Tempest.

And the words, Level 40 Tiera, is floating above her head.

"You're finally here" Tiera got down from her black bear mount and smiled with delight at Solitary Tempest.

Solitary Tempest shook the hand that was offered to her and said, "Of course, you're paying me after all"

Tiera also smiled and then let go of Solitary Tempest hand and slowly turned around, "Let's go inside the city first, I'll tell you what you need to do on the way"

After saying all that, she jumped and landed on the back of the black bear and had it turn around.

Solitary Tempest also summoned her mount, the Ebony Warhorse and rode after her.

She quickly rode in front of the group, alongside Tiera.

Solitary Tempest turned towards her and said, "You hired me, I'm here, so what do you want me to do?"

Rumble! Rumble! Rumble!

Tiera looked at Solitary Tempest, and couldn't help but be filled with admiration every time she saw the question marks floating above her head, as that could only mean one thing, Solitary Tempest is five levels above her, way ahead of the current player base.

"The capital is currently in turmoil right now with two opposing forces vying for power. One side wants to overthrow the Tyrant King, and the other side wants the rebels killed"

"And by rebels, I mean us" said Tiera with a chuckle.

And she continued, "And the job is not something hard to do, but it's certainly important. I just want you to protect Count Azuna who is currently leading the rebellion along with General Makarov, and at the same time, keep an eye on the movements of the people of the King. You won't be doing this alone though as there are also others I hired for this, and you'd certainly be satisfied with their skills"

Hearing what Tiera said, Solitary Tempest was curious about one thing, "Then who will take the throne if this endeavor is successful?"

Tiera smiled widely, "Of course, it would be me"

Right when she said that, they passed through the gates and entered the capital, and the gate slowly closed behind them.
