459 No One Escapes Our Eyes

“Shh, can you keep your voice down? We’re almost there”

Moments later and halfway through the mountain, the two of them finally arrived near their destination, a large flat boulder enough to build a tent on it, and with brushes surrounding it, the boulder became very well hidden from any eyes below unless they have eagle-like eyesight.

The place they were at also gives them clear access to their target over in the distance, a large mansion with walls mostly made of glass and situated near a medium sized lake.

“Is that it? That place doesn’t seem like a suitable place to conduct a secret rendezvous. Don’t tell me those glass walls are bulletproof?”

“They are indeed bulletproof, people from our branch were the ones that installed it. They are capable of stopping 50 cals”

With a whoosh, Monk quickly turned his head towards Sun Bin and said in a whisper like yell, “50 cal!? Why didn’t you tell me something that important!?”

Smiling in the dark, Sun Bin replied while patting on the briefcase lying down on the ground beside her, “Don’t worry, I came prepared”

Click!

With a click, their eyes immediately laid bare at the beautiful monstrosity lying inside.

.....

“Shit, you were carrying that monster the whole time!?” Monk was surprised, he was really amazed that such a slender woman like Sun Bin had been carrying something so heavy all this while the whole time with no complaints heard from her at all!

What was the thing that Sun Bin had been carrying?

It was none other than an M2 Browning, or more precisely some of its parts!

An old classing heavy machine gun that’s still used widely by the military today!

“Quick, give me your bag,” Sun Bin said.

Monk slowly took off the bag from his back and while handing it over to her, he said, “You are one crazy woman to have been carrying that monster all the way here and you didn’t even tell me. I thought you just brought another sniper rifle like me”

Hearing his words, Sun Bin chuckled with a reply, “Why’s the need of another sniper rifle, when you have your step mother with you?”

‘Crazy b*tch!’

There’s a huge reason why Sun Bin called the M2 Browning a step mother, and it was because soldiers around the globe would sometimes call the weapon their second mom and was even dubbed the mother of all machine guns.

And who isn’t afraid of their mothers anyway?

Especially when that slipper or cloth hanger comes flying, you better hide like how soldiers would hide when a machine gun is rampaging on the battlefield.

A mother’s wrath..is unstoppable!

Sun Bin slowly took out the things inside the bag that Monk was carrying.

It was three rectangular objects that’s covered in styrofoam.

Monk already had an idea of what they were, but he was still slightly surprised when Sun Bin took the styrofoam off.

It was three ammunition boxes filled with, of course, ammunition.

After that, Sun Bin also took out the rest of things from the bag she had been carrying, which contained the remaining parts of the machine gun.

Watching Sun Bin assembling the gun for a few seconds, Monk also started assembling the sniper rifle he brought soon after.

While the two were busy with their things, the people for tonight’s show slowly arrived at the mansion in the intervals of a few minutes.

“Seems like all the attendees have arrived” said Monk while watching the people moving around the mansion through the scope of his rifle.

With a bipod on it, Sun Bin slowly positioned the M2 Browning towards the mansion while saying, “Let’s wait a few more minutes before we start the party. You never know, we might catch another big fish”

Monk gave a shrug to what she said, though when his eyes once again laid eyes on the machine gun near him, he couldn’t help but think, ‘I still think that bringing a machine gun is a little overkill’

Shortly after that thought, he turned towards Sun Bin and asked, “But hey, isn’t their security here too lax? There’s only a few guards in sight and the place where we are right now should have been more guarded since this is the best place to snipe someone from the mansion. This is too unrealistic for those vermin who are too afraid of death”

“I-”

Sun Bin was about to reply to him when a commotion along the road leading up the mansion quickly took their attention as they quickly turned towards it.

It wasn’t really much of a commotion like loud noises, but there were certainly a lot of cars coming up the mountain road just from the headlights moving around in the distance.

“What’s happening? Could it be their enemies?” Monk said in a slightly surprised tone since he believed that only those three people would be present here tonight.

Sun Bin was also slightly surprised, “Impossible, those people aren’t dumb. They wouldn’t have brought such a small security if this wasn’t a secret meeting. This place is heavily guarded after all, it’s easy to defend it, but hard to attack with how complicated the terrain on this part of the mountain”

Monk wanted to agree with her, but when he heard the latter part of her words, he just stared at her.

‘Heavily guarded? There weren’t even any resistance on our way up’

Sun Bin felt the eyes of someone looking at her, so she quickly turned towards the direction of where the feeling was coming from and saw Monk just looking at her with a raised eyebrow.

She doesn’t even need to be a mind reader to know what thoughts he’s having right now.

“Don’t give me that look, this place is really heavily guarded from all directions. There’s a secret outposts everywhere around the mountain that acts as its surveillance”

“And you’re telling me that they didn’t even see us?”

Monk was skeptical, he didn’t believe those people were so green that they didn’t even spot their shadow when they were making their way up.

“Hmmp!”

Sun Bin let out a snort, and a little annoyed, she said, “Hey, our Anyang Continental might be small compared to the others, but we have eyes and ears everywhere in this country, especially in this city. No one escapes our eyes”
