Fated To Four Alphas Even Though I Am Mute-Chapter 38: Memorable Ball
Damian’s POV
I watched Heaven’s back as she walked away from us. She didn’t even look back at us. She didn’t try to look back at me like she would have done.
Normally, she would have a hunched back and put her head down. But today, her back was straight and her head up high. She looked different from the Heaven I have known these past six years and looked more like the one I knew before these past six years.
I suddenly felt angry, who does she think she is? She was just an ordinary daughter of a traitor turning her back at her mate and most importantly her Alphas. She should even be lucky to be in the same room as us, and she should be lucky to be wearing a dress that cost more than most people’s salary in a year. Instead, she was walking away from us as if we didn’t matter.
I held Sofia tightly by my side as I wrapped my hand around her waist. Heaven was going to feel jealous if she saw me holding Sofia like this, but I wanted her to hurt even more.
"Thank you for turning the ball into a really memorable night," Remus said.
I turned back and saw a mischievous smile on his face. He was happy about what had happened.
"I swear I’m going to kill him!" Desmond whispered.
I looked at his face. His face was already healing. His wolf was already healing him. Being an Alpha would hasten the process, and his broken ribs would regenerate and heal by tomorrow.
Memorable my foot. We had disgraced the Blood Stone household and he was rubbing it in my face.
We were supposed to show the people how strong we were, but we had shown them a messy family drama and it was all Heaven’s fault.
She messed up our family just like her father had tried to do.
We walked out of the ballroom. When I got out, I was blinded by the brightness of the day, we had arrived at dawn and it was already noon.
I scanned the whole area and saw Heaven standing by a step. She wasn’t crying or shaking, she just stood quietly.
She turned to look in our direction and I shot her a cold look. I wanted her to feel my anger and I wanted her to know that she still means nothing to us. But she ignored me.
Our coachman came running towards us. He looked pale and so nervous. He bowed deep toward Damon.
"Alpha Damon, I’m so sorry, but the... the carriage has cast a shoe. One of its shoes is completely gone," he said stammering.
Then Damon looked irritated. "Then fix it. Why are you telling us this?" he snapped.
The coachman looked literally terrified, and even the bow deepened.
"It’s not that easy, Alpha. We’ll have to go to the nearby village and it might take the whole day."
I can’t believe this is happening. We had a bad ball and now this?
Damon turned to look at me
"Well, I don’t think we have any choice but to use the second one," he said, gesturing to the carriage Desmond, Dylan, and Sofia had come with. It was large and would contain eight people at once, so it would be alright.
"Go and get it ready," Damon said, and the coachman bowed again and hurried off.
Sofia gripped my shirt and looked up at me with her hand trembling. I had never seen her this scared before.
"No, no, no, Damian. I can’t ride with that thing, not after what she did to me," Sofia said, shivering.
Then Sofia turned to Heaven. "I want her to apologize. I want her to bow and say that she is sorry for everything she did to me in there. And I swear I won’t get in the carriage until she does so."
I looked at my brothers and we all had the same thought. This was the perfect opportunity to put her in her place.
"You heard her, apologize to Sofia!" I said.
We all turned to Heaven waiting for her to apologize, but she didn’t say anything, not to talk of bowing to Sofia.
She just looked at Sofia from her head to her toes like she was shit.
I was shocked. For six years, Heaven had never behaved like that. The last time I saw her behave this way was when my sister had told her to apologize for stepping on her feet, but she had poured mud on it instead.
That was the last time Heaven had defended herself. But now, she was glaring at us.
Then she did the most shocking thing. She scoffed, turned around, and walked towards the carriage.
She didn’t even extend her hand to the coachman to help her. She just climbed the carriage and sat at the very end. Then turned to look at us with a smile.
"Did she just ignore us?" Dylan asked, surprised.
"Yes she did, and I like it a lot," Damon said smiling.
Damon was the craziest amongst us, he liked seeing tough things and breaking them.
We all just stood there in total shock, except for Damon who found Heaven acting rebellious to his liking.
We got into the carriage one after the other. I sat beside Sofia and there were three of us at each side of the carriage.
Damon was in front of Heaven and he couldn’t take his eyes off her. He just kept looking at her like he wanted to break her.
While Heaven just kept looking out the window and completely ignored us like we didn’t exist at all.
Sofia continued to sniff and cry on my shoulder. "It hurts, Damian... my heart hurts so much," she whispered.
"I know, Sofia, we’ll handle it when we get home," I said, rubbing her arm.
I looked at Heaven expecting her to flinch at what I had said, but she didn’t. She just remained calm and I hated that.
We finally pulled up in front of our mansion and the carriage finally stopped.
The door opened and the coachman helped us out one by one.
I stepped down first amd then my brothers climbed out after me, and then Sofia, and finally Heaven.
We walked up the steps to the entrance where our head butler was waiting to greet us.
"Welcome home, Alphas," he said with a bow.
One by one, my brothers took off their jackets and handed them to the butler.
We took another step and there they were, Maddie and Elle. Our half sisters
They never come to visit us so that we’re that doing here.
