Fated to the Alpha's Sons: An Omegas Rise to Fame-Chapter 44: Pissed.
Chapter 44: Pissed.
"I wasn’t aware I was going to be staying away from home the entire time." Beth said quietly, as they buckled their seat belts, mild accusation in her tone.
She wasn’t against being away from home, but she wasn’t someone who liked to be left on the sidelines.
"I reasoned it would be more efficient that way. Besides you don’t enjoy being on the road for too long." Troy explained easily, turning on the ignition.
"Efficient, yes. But keeping it from me is definitely not cute, Troy." Beth said, staring straight into the fields surrounding her house, anger rising in her chest.
"Beth-"
"No, Troy. I might be eighteen, but I don’t like it when people make decisions for me. You tell me the details, and let me make my decisions." She stated clearly, facing him directly. "I’m your mate, not your child."
Honestly, she was still getting around the whole ’mate’ thing, and now he was making decisions for her?
"Baby, I’m sorry." He pressed. "I didn’t think of it that way, I swear. I honestly thought you saw it the same way. I’m so sorry for getting carried away." He pleaded earnestly, his hands on the steering, even though they itched to touched her. ƒree𝑤ebnσvel-com
"Beth." He called softly, after a while of silence, while she stared into space, her face stoic, but he could see the lines of anger etched on her face.
"Baby, I’m so sorry." He pleaded again, daringly placing his arm on her thigh.
"It’s okay." She said softly. "I’m sorry for snapping. I just felt I should make it clear."
"Are you sure?" He asked, but got no response. "Look at me, Princess." He said, his other hand in her chin, urging her to look at him.
She turned to him, but wasn’t able to meet his eyes. His heart couldn’t help but crack further. He really didn’t think it was going to annoy her, he just saw it as a more efficient means and grabbed it by the horn. He really should’ve told her.
"You can’t even look at me." Troy muttered, taking his hand off her chin slowly, but she caught it and took it in hers, before he could withdraw completely.
"I’m not happy about it, but we are good. I was just getting around my feelings." She said softly, her eyes on their hands.
"Are you sure?" Troy asked, vulnerability in his voice. "I was excited, too excited. I really didn’t mean to override your opinion. I’m not your enemy, Princess." He explained again.
"I know, I just got scared for a second." She muttered.
"I’m sorry for scaring you then. Okay?" He said in understanding. He couldn’t blame her, everything was moving fast; not for him, but for her.
"I know. I’m sorry for snapping too." She said, finally being able to look up to him, a soft smile on her lips, staring into his eyes.
"It’s all good, baby." He muttered, pecking her lips softly, a wide smile gracing her lips as she blushed.
"Now, we’re on the same page." Troy said deeply, leaning away. "Let’s get this show started." He said, putting the gear in drive.
Bethany leaned into her seat, taking a deep breath.
That almost spiralled.
After a while of comfortable silence, and Troy continuously turning away from the road to look at her, she finally spoke up.
"I’m afraid that if you keep looking away from the road, we might hit a deer or something." Beth said, her eyes on the scenery as they drove by.
"Like I’d care. I’m just checking in to see if you’re okay." He replied, turning briefly to her again.
"Yeah, four times in the last minute." She said dryly.
"I can’t help it. You said you didn’t like drives." Troy chipped.
"At night. Not in the day when I can stare at the skies and trees."
"Doesn’t matter." He said shrugging. "Oh, I forgot to ask. Is there anything you’d like to do when we get to Eldrador? Like a monument you want to see, or a dish you want to taste?"
"Uhh, no actually. I haven’t really thought about it, but I’m open to whatever you’re offering, if you’re offering anything, that is." She said, turning to him.
"Well, I’m up for whatever you want, I didn’t plan something too serious, because I know you don’t like serious. But, I have I’ve made are pretty chill. I’m sure you’d love them." He said, grinning ear to ear.
"Ouiii, so much confidence, eh?" She said, chuckling.
"Mmhm. Don’t worry, you’re gonna love every bit of it." He assured, tapping her thigh lightly.
"Oh really? Wow, I can’t wait to be impressed." She teased, laughing out loud.
"Oh you most certainly will." Troy said, his voice form with certainty.
Certainty Beth couldn’t help but tap from. Since he said she was gonna enjoy it, she was going to make sure she did.
And for the first time since they took off, her eagerness came rushing back in folds.
I’m coming, Eldrador.

"Uhh, Troy?" Beth called as they drove into the parking lot of an unfamiliar place.
"Yes, love." He said, turning briefly to her before parking the car.
"I know I’ve only been to your hotel once, but I’m very sure this isn’t it." She said, very confused.
"Well, Princess. You came at night the last time, remember."
"I know, but that building was way bigger than this." She said giving him a pointed look.
He chuckled for a moment as he looked at her. "You’re right, Princess. That was our penthouse. I’m going to take you to mine. When you’re meeting with them, they’d take you to theirs. We all have our personal penthouses." He explained.
"Wow." She muttered, nodding in understanding, a small smile on her lips, as thought in wonder. "Personal penthouses. That’s serious." She said.
"Yeah, we all need our space once in a while." He said vaguely, unbuckling her seat belt. "Now, come with me, let’s explore mine." He said, dreamily, his hand lingering on her thigh.
"Yes, Sir. Gladly." She said, excitement in her gaze.
And with that they both got out of the vehicle. Beth didn’t wait for him to come open her door, she was way too excited.
