Fated to the Alpha's Sons: An Omegas Rise to Fame-Chapter 70: Bad things.
Chapter 70: Bad things.
"Urghh." She groaned as she took off her boots, pressing her feet to the ground.
"What happened?" Theo asked, alarmed.
"Nothing. It just feels so good to feel the ground with my own feet again." She said smiling.
He shook his head, going back to his kitchen to get the mugs of warm water he had prepared for both of them.
"What is it? Were you scared?" She teased, looking at him.
"Just a tad." He said, walking up to her. He handed her a mug that had small rag covering the boundaries so it couldn’t hurt her.
"Thank you." She muttered, already lifting the mug to her lips without blowing it. "Ahh!" She exclaimed, placing the mug on the table at once.
She stuck her tongue out, hoping some cool air was going to ease the burn abit.
Theo just sat still opposite her, blowing air into his own mug as he stirred the water abit.
"You’re not going to help me?" She whined, looking up at him briefly, before going back to pacify the burning sensation on her tongue and lower lip .
"Tsk, tsk. Not at all." He responded, winking at her.
"You’re so wicked. I’m going to sleep." She said, getting up from the seat, her mug in her right hand as she made her way to his room.
Troy had told her that she had rooms in all of their houses, and she really wanted to ask him where her room was, but since he hadn’t said anything about it yet, she decided to be quiet about it.
She lay on his black duvets when she’d finally made it into the room, staring into his ceiling.
She wanted to change, and go to bed at once, but she knew she had to change and shower. She had to wear a night wear at least.
Deciding to skip showering, she walked into his closet, taking off her clothes, and putting them in a hamper close by.
She took off her undies as well, tired of all the restraints they gave, especially the brassiere.
Finally naked, she picked a random top of his that was twice her size and stopped just above her knee. Since it was cotton, it felt very comfortable on her skin.
Yawning, she walked back into the room, stopping for a brief moment when she saw him sitting on the bed, scrolling through his phone.
She resumed her walk to his bed, totally ignoring him.
"So Troy told you about your rooms." He stated, not looking up from his phone.
"Yeah, and?" She asked, already lying down, pulling the duvet over her body.
"You didn’t ask to see your room." He said again, his eyes still on his phone.
"Didn’t know I had to ask. You can show me now, if you want. I really don’t mind sleeping my bed tonight." She said, a bit of accusation in her voice.
"No, no. It’s not like that. I didn’t mean for it to sound that way, I swear."
"It’s okay. You can show me the room if you want. The longer you wait, the longer I use your designer tops as night wears." She said, turning to her sides, her eyes already closing.
"I don’t mind, though. I can always get more." Theo said, turning off his phone, placing it on the bedside drawer.
"I mind. I want to see my room." She said sternly, without looking at him.
"Alright then, we’d see it tomorrow, okay?" He said, coming to her side, squatting beside his her.
"Okay." She said softly. "Thank you for today, Theo. I honestly didn’t think it will end well." She said, opening her eyes to show him how sincere she was.
"It’s okay. I had so much fun too. Thanks to you." He said smiling.
"I know, right?" She said blushing.
"Goodnight, Princess." He said, pecking her forehead and eyes. "I’d see you later."
"Later? Why?" She asked with scrunched eyebrows.
"I have some work to do, love, but I’d be beside you when you wake up tomorrow morning. I promise." He said, sticking out his pinky finger.
"Deal." She said, interlocking their pinky fingers.
"Bye." He cooed, getting up from her side.
"Bye." She muttered as she watched him leave.
When he closed the door behind him, she sighed shutting her eyes as she recounted the days event.
It was a really eventful one.

Theo’s office.
Theodore sat on his seat behind his massive mahogany desk that was occupied by four different screens surrounding him, lines and lines of code, displayed in tiny fonts.
He let his head fall back as he tried to strengthen his mind for the job he was about to carry out.
He had a really good time spending the day with his mate, but when he ran from the pack to her, left a lot of things behind, urgent things.
First off, he was in the middle hacking into the server of a very popular and ruthless gang in Eldrador, that had been creating little messes around their company. It was high time he cleaned them up once and for all, before the small messes becomes big ones.
And secondly, they were till searching for Drew, who had not just betrayed them, despite being considered a brother, but had sold very very important information to the wrong people.
So yeah, his hands were full.
He sat up in his seat, cracking his fingers as he prepared to start tracking and hacking.
His father had informed them of his plans to step down, so he and his brothers could step up. But he wanted to wrap up the case as soon as possible.
He didn’t just want to wrap up the case because of what his father had said, but also because he knew that, as soon as they stepped up, there would be more and more problems, because he wouldn’t just step down from his position as Alpha, but also from his position as chairman in their company.
Just as he had begun typing, his phone lit up beside him, indicating he had a call from Tristan.
"What’s up?" He said as soon as he picked, his eyes on the screens before him, the sound of fingers clicking incessantly on his keyboard in the background.
"She’s asleep?" Tristan asked, sounds of papers being flipped echoed in his own background.
"Yeah. Spoke to Troy?" Theo asked, his eyes fixated on his screen, his eyebrows scrunched a bit as he tried to analyze a firewall.
"Yeah, I did. She did touch his back." Tristan responded.
"But that wasn’t all, was it?" Theo asked, typing furiously on his keyboard.
"No, it wasn’t. Said he doesn’t feel he deserves her."
Theo scoffed at his response. "That’s a shitty reason, Tristan, and you know that. He’s just running away. As always." Theo said, muttering the last part, annoyance lacing his voice.
"He’s just scared. He’d come around." Tristan tried to defend.
"Yeah, when? Oh, I know. When we’ve finally lost her, right?" Theo spat, hissing.
"Cut him some slack, Theo. Not everyone is like you. Not everyone can actually process all these." Tristan explained.
Theo scoffed loudly, breaking into a small chuckle. "You sound like a shitty human therapist, man. You are making excuses for his actions, as always."
"Don’t do that, Theo." Tristan warned, pausing his writing.
"Don’t do what? Tell you the truth? He has to man up and stop thinking like that." Theo spat, annoyed with everything. The firewall wasn’t budging and it was annoying him badly.
"Theo-"
"No, Tristan. I know you agree with me. You just don’t want to admit. You’re covering up for him and making excuses. You’re hoping for him. You did this with Drew as well. I told you about him, my reserves and everything. But you ignored me saying I had no proof and was just being narcissistic." He said at once fuming at both Tristan and the stupid firewall before him.
"What would you have me do, Theo? Yes, he should man up and all, but do you think that just because you have it easy, means that others do? It’s different for everyone, Theodore. The earlier you realize that, the better for us all." Tristan said, but Theo wasn’t really paying attention anymore, and Tristan realized because he noticed his typing speed had increased.
So he stayed quiet, giving him space and time to get what he wanted.
"I’m in!" Theo exclaimed after a few minutes, breathing loudly, leaning back in his chair as he came down from his high.
"In?" Tristan asked.
"Yeah. While I was hacking into Severo’s gang system server, I was hit with several minor firewalls which I easily took down, until I hit the last one. It was a huge one, Trist. Huge and complicated. But luckily, I was able to spot a window, so I wiggled my way in. And now, I’m in." Theo said, already making his way through, loading up their own files unto his server.
"That’s good." Tristan acknowledged, exhaling. "So, what’s in there?" He asked, his voice calm.
"Bad things, Trist." Theo said as various files opened across the screens before him, his breath sharpening with every document he looked at.
"Very bad things."
