Fierce Daddy: His Million-Dollar Sweetheart-Chapter 618: Ivy Linden, Just You Wait
"Hmm, what are you guys talking about?" Howard Yeats asked, glancing at Ivy Linden.
Ivy Linden turned her face away in anger. It was wrong of her to run away, but she had her concerns. She was not a naive girl, and she had Nicole with her. She didn’t think she could match Howard Yeats and also didn’t believe there would be a good outcome by being with him.
After all, Howard Yeats is not alone; he has parents. What good is his love? His parents need him to carry on the family line. Wasn’t Samuel Lockwood’s precedent enough to make her see clearly?
Howard Yeats probably never thought about these things, so when she ran away, he was just angry. Now, what Howard Yeats is doing is probably to get back at her, right?
"Ivy Linden isn’t following Mr. Yeats’ rules and wanted to start eating before everyone else. I saw it and came to stop her, but she completely dismisses me," Chantel twisted her waist as she walked over to Howard Yeats, hooking her hand around his neck, her pouting red lips almost touching his face.
Seeing that Howard Yeats had no reaction,
Chantel acted coquettish again, "Mr. Yeats, didn’t you say... I would be the lady of this house someday? Ivy Linden is just a maid, but a maid who doesn’t listen to the future lady, what do you say we should do?"
Ivy Linden lowered her eyes, feeling very uncomfortable. It wasn’t because Howard Yeats promised Chantel she’d be the future mistress, because becoming the lady of the Yates family isn’t easily done. Howard Yeats is also not someone who easily makes promises to women. His purpose is just to torment her mentally and physically.
Ivy Linden hated Howard Yeats’ childish and despicable ways.
Her stomach rumbled again. She was so hungry that her legs felt weak. Even if she could hold out, the baby in her belly couldn’t.
Ivy Linden saw the fresh juice on the dining table. Juice couldn’t fill her up, but it was rich in vitamins, which could provide nutrition for her and the unborn child.
Ivy Linden picked up the juice and drank it all in one gulp.
Howard Yeats squinted his eyes upon seeing Ivy drink so urgently.
"Mr. Yeats, look at her..." Chantel pointed at Ivy Linden, whining, "She doesn’t follow your rules and drank the juice. She doesn’t even respect you, so she definitely won’t respect me in the future."
"Then what do you think I should do?"
Howard Yeats’s voice was icy. Ivy Linden hadn’t even turned to look at him once, her face calm as if her escape was just a stroll she took. This woman felt no guilt toward him.
Chantel was excited to hear Howard Yeats’s words, "Mr. Yeats should... forbid her from eating today."
Chantel wanted to say to beat Ivy Linden and then throw her out of the Yates family, but she was afraid that saying it would upset Howard Yeats. The only reason she could come to the Yates family was because of Ivy Linden.
Howard Yeats still had no feelings for her.
Chantel also knew Howard Yeats was using her to make Ivy Linden jealous and punish her, but she didn’t care. As long as she seized this opportunity, who knows who would become the lady of the Yates family in the future?
Ivy Linden was furious upon hearing this. Not giving her food? Chantel knew she was pregnant, yet she still said such vicious words. Chantel did it on purpose.
She turned around and glared at Chantel with hatred, "Don’t be too merciless. It does you no good."
Chantel acted as if she were frightened, seeking refuge in Howard Yeats’s embrace, "Mr. Yeats, she threatened me! I’m so scared!"
Howard Yeats hugged Chantel, a smile on his handsome face, "Don’t be afraid of her. This is the Yates family, not the Linden family. Let’s do as you suggested today."
Ivy Linden’s eyes widened, almost spitting blood in anger at Howard Yeats.
This treacherous couple.
Chantel was elated, "Mr. Yeats, you’re so good to me, I love you to death."
Howard Yeats said again, "Chantel, go eat! This whole table of sumptuous dishes was prepared for you."
Chantel was overjoyed, "Wow~ Mr. Yeats, being with you is the honor of a lifetime. I’m so lucky." 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
Howard Yeats chuckled, "But some people don’t think so, treating me like a flood or a beast, avoiding me."
Chantel knew Howard Yeats was talking about Ivy Linden, "Such people aren’t worth sincere effort from Mr. Yeats because she never had genuine feelings for you. That’s the only reason she reacts that way. But, that type of person must be blind because women in Ravenswood with eyes all admire and pursue Mr. Yeats. Being favored by Mr. Yeats is a blessing."
"Mr. Yeats, Chantel will surely cherish you."
Chantel immediately expressed her loyalty to Howard Yeats.
Howard Yeats led Chantel to the dining table, personally serving her some food.
"Thank you, Mr. Yeats."
Chantel glanced at Ivy Linden, her eyes full of arrogance.
Ivy Linden couldn’t care less about this treacherous couple flaunting their love and prepared to return to her room.
Howard Yeats slammed his chopsticks down with a "bang."
Chantel, who was about to eat the food Howard Yeats served her, nearly froze in fear at his action.
"Don’t go."
Howard Yeats said to Ivy Linden’s back.
Ivy Linden stopped, startled by Howard Yeats’ sudden action. She was angry. Howard Yeats was simply being unreasonable, not letting her eat and not letting her leave?
This was bullying, plain and simple.
"The legs are mine, do they need your approval?"
Ivy Linden angrily said before leaving, not caring if Howard Yeats would continue to be angry. She returned to her room.
Chantel eyed Howard Yeats’s cold face, afraid to eat. She was hungry too, and with such a luxurious spread on the table, most of which were delicacies she seldom tasted.
Chantel cautiously persuaded Howard Yeats, "Mr. Yeats, don’t be angry. If Ivy Linden doesn’t listen, just don’t let her eat tomorrow either. It would upset me if you hurt your health. Mr. Yeats, let’s eat?"
Chantel picked up her chopsticks, her fingers trembling, reaching for the fish. She couldn’t place it in Howard Yeats’s bowl before he waved it away, sending her chopsticks flying.
"Ah~"
Chantel cried out in fear.
Howard Yeats stood up abruptly, his long fingers forcefully flipping the tablecloth, sending the entire table of dishes crashing to the floor.
"If she won’t eat, neither will you. Everyone goes hungry!"
Howard Yeats shouted at Chantel, who was crouching on the ground, trembling in fear.
Howard Yeats turned and left the villa.
Chantel slowly recovered from the fright, her stomach growling, watching the housekeeper cleaning up the precious food on the ground. She felt heartache and anger, angry at Ivy Linden for ruining her relationship with Howard Yeats and the feast he had prepared for her.
After learning that Howard Yeats had left the villa, Chantel rushed to Ivy Linden’s room and forcefully pushed open the door.
"Ivy Linden, just you wait. One day, I’ll make Mr. Yeats kick you out of the Yates family mansion."
