Find a Troubled Girl after leaving the Guild-Chapter 367 - 209: Divine Artisan Techniques (Part 2)
Farlonio smiled mysteriously, "Actually, Cassandra is related to someone you met a few days ago."
"A few days ago?"
"You could also say today."
Today? The Horned Race?
Li Ang pondered for a moment and could only think of one person.
"Are you talking about the leader of the Banquet of the Gods, Balbanus Solis?"
"Yes, Cassandra is Balbanus’ mother."
"..."
Li Ang looked up at the female Grand Artisan engrossed in discussion.
The shortest-lived in Nebis are not humans, but the Horned Race.
Humans often live to one hundred and twenty, the Beast-Earkin around one hundred and fifty, the lifespan of the Douding Family remains a mystery, whereas Elves, whose lifespan far exceeds many kingdoms, and Half-Elves who live at least two to three hundred years, usually don’t join these discussions.
The Horned Race typically pass away around eighty, rumored to retain youthful appearances until swiftly aging in their last ten years.
Although aware of this, seeing it firsthand was still surprising.
"How do you know so much?"
"Well, I must understand various potential clients, of course."
"How much do you know about me?" Li Ang raised an eyebrow at the brown-haired Douding.
"Mr. Li Ang is—"
Falo chuckled dryly and shifted over to chat with a few artisans nearby.
"Don’t get too close to that one."
Aira leaned in and said, "She seems close to everyone but actually manipulates everyone."
"Has she manipulated you?"
Having had this suspicion, Li Ang seized the opportunity to ask.
The Blondie Douding remained silent for a moment, softly saying, "I once thought we were friends."
Since she found it difficult to say, Li Ang didn’t press further.
During their conversation, it seemed the Grand Artisans had finalized the plan and moved to their positions.
"Is it about to begin?"
"That’s right." Molaine, standing not far away, said to Li Ang and Aira, "While you both indeed surprised me, please now enjoy the divine craftsmanship of the Hammer of the Source."
Cassandra tossed her braided hair over her shoulder and moved to the Magic Anvil beside the Mountain Copper Furnace. Behind this anvil stood an enormous hammer, with a head as tall as half a person, forged from various precious metals.
Many extraordinary materials in Nebis are denser than gold, making this giant hammer impossible for an ordinary person to lift.
Cassandra effortlessly lifted the hammer handle with two fingers, resting it on her shoulder without so much as a sag.
Now Li Ang knew where Balbanus got his ways from.
ALulu could easily lift such weight, but an average Horned Race member couldn’t handle it that easily.
In another spot, Gaelin stood by the furnace in front of a transforming mold press, rolling up his sleeves to reveal tattooed magic runes glowing with various colors, appearing like two colorful bracelets.
His magic resonated with all the molds, their runes alight, indicating these preset molds were the tools this Grand Artisan relied on most.
The positions of the two Hammer of the Source were precisely one hundred and twenty degrees apart on the round furnace’s edge, with the third equally divided node under Hephaestus’ control.
The red-haired Grand Artisan limped to the third station, where the main controls for the entire Mountain Copper Furnace were. Li Ang could clearly see the Spiritual Line connecting to the High-tier Magic Rails suspended in the sky from the Spiritual Horizon.
Cassandra laughed heartily, raising her voice, matching Balbanus’ previous volume but with more stability, only exuding a sense of grandeur.
"The Dome Furnace Association’s regular meeting is starting early, and this time we have a top-level exceptional order—Treasure Artifact crafting. Artisans, please pour all your strength into completing this masterpiece that assembles the wisdom of all members!"
She raised the giant hammer high with one hand, bringing it down fiercely on the Magic Anvil in front of her, producing a loud bang that made Aifei cover her ears, while the anvil’s mystical magic was struck, reverberating back into the Mountain Copper Furnace.
The outer flame within the furnace immediately changed color, then intensified.
This anvil is called such by tradition, but certainly not made of iron; Li Ang could see it appeared to be a solid cast but was actually interwoven with spirituality constantly drawing near highly-condensed magic close to high-tier magic. Cassandra’s striking was essentially using her magic to adjust the anvil’s "frequency," supplying the Mountain Copper Furnace with magic fuel.
This anvil might later be used for material forging, but for now, it acted more like a bellows.
"Are all types of materials ready?" Gaelin expanded his voice with magic to ask.
It was evident that shouting wasn’t this bearded man’s usual style, but he had to outvoice the flame and strikes to be heard.
"All high-efficiency alloys are ready!"
"All high-efficiency monster materials have been moved out of storage!"
"High-tier spiritual materials are here!"
The artisans at their workbenches responded in turn.
Li Ang looked over to the artisan who gave the third response, where all sorts of high spirituality materials capable of channeling the Four Major Elements were ready, including Elemental Spirit Stones for crafting Array Equipment.
High efficiency seems to be an artisan term indicating these were the most useful among high-tier materials.
"Then," Hephaestus controlled the Magic Rails to rotate around the central axis, "begin crafting the Multi-colored Energy Source."
He announced loudly, "Ethereum Self-Looping Unit! Outer Guide Ring!"
Gaelin shouted, "Bring the Moon Silver!"
An artisan handed over a piece of pure silver-white metal, its surface sheen reflecting crescent arcs.
Gaelin placed it into a mold, using magic to direct the high-temperature magic flame from the Mountain Copper Furnace to melt it. Liquid Moon Silver flowed into the mold, and he controlled the press hammer, its runes flashing in sequence, casting the required ring component in an instant.
The bearded artisan used magic to levitate it above the Mountain Copper Furnace, with the red-haired artisan taking over to maintain its suspension with magic power.
Hephaestus spoke again, "Next step, Autonomous Cycling Core."
Cassandra bellowed, "Seven hundred grams of Celestial Blue Gold! Two hundred and forty grams of Mountain Copper! Ten grams each of Sea Sound Stone, Sunshine Stone, Island Soul Stone, Wind Wall Stone, Worldforged Plume, Eternal Muddy Scale!"
The remaining artisans promptly brought the materials to the Magic Anvil before her.
The mature woman of the Horned Race wielded the giant hammer with precision and ease, quickly striking the six ten-gram materials onto the Mountain Copper Furnace, where they were blown aloft by the heat.
"Infuse!" Cassandra commanded.
Hephaestus immediately controlled the Rails, their Ethereal Rails suddenly ablaze, injecting extremely pure magic flame into the six materials, illuminating them.
Gaelin’s open hand guided the six materials back onto the Magic Anvil.
By then, Cassandra had hammered the Celestial Blue Gold and Mountain Copper into casings capable of housing the six materials, embedding them one by one with a single hammer strike.
This action was completed almost simultaneously, with the six materials’ six attribute magic forces colliding intensely, akin to the sun’s brilliance shining within the underground cavern; several seconds later, a core simulating the material dimension’s elemental cycle hovered within the ether’s glow.
Gaelin pushed with both hands, magically guiding the Moon Silver Guide Ring towards the core, encircling it.
The two entwined, with the Power of Ether saturating the interior, endlessly.
Li Ang’s eye twitched, using his interface to examine this creation.
[Ethereum Self-Looping Unit]
[Dome Furnace Association’s Hammer of the Source artisans wielded divine skill to imbue Ether into six top-tier elemental materials, simulating the material-dimension cycle to implement Mistrem Academy’s Ethereum Refining Technique. This is an undying Ethereal Energy Source, only ceasing to exist if forcibly destroyed by external forces. Perhaps eons later, an adventurer will joyfully discover and treasure it.]
[Tier: 8]
[Category: Energy Source]
[Maximum Magic Output: 999%]
[Magic Tendency: Provides the purest magic in the world]
"Do we still need to make five more of these?" Li Ang couldn’t help but ask.
The artisans were not the only ones admiring this result; even Aira watched intently, and Li Ang knew she came from a lineage of Blade Masters who also forged weapons, though likely not as proficient as the Dome Furnace Association. She was purely indulging in admiration and appreciation.
"How about it?" Falo’s smug expression was evident, seemingly saying to Li Ang, "No pitfalls, right? You’ve struck it big this time."
"I have a question." Li Ang said to her.
