Blaze had just gotten out of the shower when he received Tina's call, informing him that Amelia was having another vomiting episode.

Without a care about his look and status, Blaze threw on what he could lay his hands on without towel-drying his wet hair or body. He dashed out of the Villa in a heartbeat and climbed behind the wheels of one of his fastest spot cars while dialing his mother's number.

The line kept ringing but Maria didn't take her calls which only worsened Blaze's anxiety.

With heart racing and adrenaline coursing through his veins, Blaze revved the car engine like a car race driver about to start a high-octane speed car race. He put the car on gear and sped out of the villa premises, startling the house staff who had all come out to see the boss running off like a madman.

Speeding at 120km/hr, Blaze swerved his car to the left and the right, overtaking other motorists on the highway until he entered the service lane that led straight to the hospital.

In less than twenty-one minutes of taking Tina's call, Blaze arrived at the hospital. He got out of the car and sprinted into the hospital building, causing a lot of heads to turn.

"Oh my goodness!"

"Who is that sexy-looking guy!"

"He is so hot!"

"More like wet!"

"Why is he such in a hurry."

"Maybe his wife is in labour."

Different comments filtered through the air as Blaze passed by. But he ignored every attention directed towards him, his heart pounding as he tried his mother's number again, pressing the elevator button.

Two visiting ladies, who couldn't get enough of staring at the handsome-looking man in damp clothes, hurried behind him, giggling sheepishly to themselves as the elevator door opened.

Blaze got in and so did the ladies ogling at him. He pressed the eighth floor and the door slid shut, without them saying where they were going.

Completely ignoring the two ladies whispering and giggling behind him like childish clowns, Blaze tried his mother's number for the third time.

"Hello, handsome. Coming from a pool party?" One of the ladies dares to speak in a flirtatious voice, her breath reeking of alcohol.

"We too are coming from a friend's birthday party that ended tragically. We could party here in the hospital if you want to." The other lady said, laughing.

Just then Blaze's call connected.

"Mum."

"Baby, let me call you back later. I'm busy." Maria said in a slightly harsh voice before hanging up.

"Shit!" Blaze cursed.

"What is the matter? Is your mum sick?" The first lady came from behind, placing her hand on his shoulder. "I can help...Ah!"

In one split dangerous spin, Blaze grabbed the young lady who had dared to touch him by the neck, pushing her back forcefully against the wall.

"Ah!" The other lady let out a frightful gasp as she scurried to the other end of the elevator, her body trembling and her face white with horror.

"Do you have a death wish?" Blaze growled like a bloodthirsty monster hungry for its enemy's blood.

The unfortunate lady struggled violently, hitting his hand as his grip tightened, gradually snuffing out the air in her lungs.

"Please!" The second lady cried out.

Ding!

The elevator bell announced their arrival, the door sliding open.

"Do this again and you are dead." Blaze released his hold on her neck and dashed out of the elevator without bothering to see the lady pass out in shock as her body fell on the elevator floor.

Tina, who had just come out from retouching her face, was completely swept off her feet as she saw Blaze bouncing out of the elevator.

His narrowed and darkened grey eyes seemed to give off a dangerously sparkly glow that lit Tina's heart as he took long strides towards her.

His damp white t-shirt clung to his athletic and well-defined body like a limpet, displaying his hot and sexy abs.

His sleek wet hair...

"Blaze!" Hilary called from behind Tina snapping her out of her thoughts.

"What is he doing here?" Judith, who was waiting outside with her husband and the two bodyguards asked. "Didn't Mrs Anderson warn that no one should inform him about anything?"

"Then how did he find out? How did he come here so fast?" Hillary asked.

"Could it be Tina? Did she inform him?" Judith pondered out loud.

Both their gaze shifted to Tina who was standing a few meters away from them.

Watching Blaze briefly acknowledge her before hurrying over to them to confirm their suspicion.

"Mrs Anderson will be pissed." Judith shook her head in pity, now understanding why Stacy and Amelia didn't warm up to Tina, even after her heroic action.

"What happened to my wife?" Blaze demanded as he approached Judith.

"It's nothing serious, Blaze. She just vomited. But she's fine. The doctor is currently attending to her." Judith explained, calmly.

"And my mom?"

"She's inside with her. She was the only one allowed to stay back. I'm sure they are rounding up by now."

"But why did she vomit? I thought the doctor assured us that she was fine after giving her those drugs." Blaze asked, feeling a bit confused and angry.

"These doctors are human, Blaze." Tina crept up behind him. "They can be wrong sometimes. A second opinion is best. Probably they need to run other tests on her in another facility to ensure there is no underlying ailment or...." Tina left the last part hanging, making everyone's imagination run wild.

"Or what?" Blaze glared dangerously at Tina, picking up a hint of malice in her tone.

For Judith on the other hand, an idea flashed through her mind that made her eyes widen in excitement. 'Could it be? Oh God, that would be the best news ever.'

"I think Tina is right," Hilary said after a few moments of silence. "I don't see anything wrong with what she has eaten so far. The doctors should probably run another test on her."

Just then, the door to Amelia's room opened. The nurses stepped out first, followed by the doctor and Maria talking and laughing.

"Mom!" Blaze came forward, his eyes brimming with hope at his mom's relaxed state which was in contrast to the information Tina fed him.

"Blaze! What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be home sleeping?"

"How is Amelia?" Blaze asked, directing his quizzical gaze to Doctor Ashely while giving his mom a reassuring pat on the shoulder.

"She's fine. There is no reason for alarm. She just vomited. No big deal. It comes with her condition."

"Condition!" Tina's eyes widened. "Do they already know she's pregnant?"

"Food allergy and intolerance is something that doesn't go away immediately. But in a couple of days, her body will become stable." The doctor added.

'Hmm... Nice one doctor. We will see how long you can hide this secret.' Tina smiled to herself.

"Can I see her now?"

"Sure, but she's sleeping. We gave her something to relax her body."

"Thank you, doctor." Blaze planted a kiss on his mother's forehead before disappearing into the room to check on his wife.

"Mrs Anderson, remember everything I told you. Make sure you comply accordingly to avoid such episodes." Dr Ashley said.

"Alright. I'll do exactly that. Thank you so much, doctor."

"You're welcome." Dr Ashley smiled and left.

"Who called my son." Maria suddenly spun around, her chilly gaze on Tina, who was now smiling feverishly.

Hilary and Judith, both exchanged glances, sensing trouble.

"I did, mom." Tina voiced out, intentionally addressing Maria as Mom.

Like a bull seeing red, charging blindly and uncontrollably, Maria stormed over to where Tina was standing.

"How many times have I told you to stop calling me, mom?"

Tina braced herself as Maria raised her right hand up. She held her breath as Maria's hand came down fiercely across her cheek.

Smack!
