FLASH MARRIAGE; CHARMED BY THE RUTHLESS BILLIONAIRE CEO-Chapter 203: Unrest
After leaving the hospital with his mother and wife, Blaze stopped by the villa to pick up some of his important personal and work stuff. He also had the housekeeper pack up a small travel bag for Amelia with some of her clothes and personal items, before leaving for his family mansion.
When they arrived at the mansion, Maria took Amelia by the hand and led her to her new bedroom which had been fixed to meet with her taste.
The bedroom, screamed of feminine elegance, with rich textures and delicate details bathed in the soft glow of a chandelier and adorned with plush, luxurious fabrics.
Beaming to herself, Amelia strolled over to the king-size bed, lined with soft textured white bedsheet. She slowly sat on the plush bed while stroking the luxuriously smooth and gentle sheet against her skin.
"This place is paradise, mom." Amelia complimented.
"I'm glad you like it," Maria said, taking a seat beside her daughter-in-law. "I can't wait for the both of us to spend quality time alone together. There is so much I want us to do."
"Me too," Amelia replied, her face flushed with excitement at Maria's continuous show of maternal love.
"Amy..." Maria's face turned all serious as she spoke. "I want you to know that I will always be here for you. Aside from being my son's wife, I already see you as my own daughter. I love you dearly and I hope you can learn to trust me as a daughter would trust her mother. Whenever you feel you need someone to talk to, come to me. Your secret will always be safe with me, okay."
Amelia felt the weight on her chest lessen at Maria's words. She smiled and hugged Maria before replying. "Okay, mom. Thanks."
"Alright!" Maria stood up. "It's time for you to take a warm bath. I've already asked the maid to prepare the bathtub for you. Go and take your bath and when you're done, join us downstairs for dinner.
"Okay, mum." Amelia waited for Maria to leave the room before she hurried to the door and locked it from inside.
Then she hurried over to the wall-mounted mirror and took off her clothes. She examined her tummy properly to see if there were any noticeable changes.
To her relief, her tummy was still flat. The only noticeable changes were her abdomen, which felt a bit larger, and her thighs which looked slightly swollen. She also noticed that her breast was fuller just like her friends and her mother-in-law had observed.
"Would Blaze notice any of this?" Amelia pondered out loud.
A sudden knock on the door followed by the twisting of the door knob made Amelia almost jump out of a skin.
"Why is the door locked?" Amelia heard her husband's unmistakable voice outside the bedroom door. "Amelia." He called out, knocking louder.
"I'm coming." Amelia swiftly wore her clothes and ran to the door, almost tripping over the small coffee table in the room.
She unhooked the latch and turned the key before opening the door with a creaking sound.
"Hey!" She smiled staring at Blaze dreamily.
"Hey, you." Blaze brushed his lips against hers. "May I come in?" He asked seeing the way Amelia was standing so protectively in front of the door. It made him wonder what she was up to.
"Sure." Amelia moved away from the door and watched him walk in rolling her small travel bag.
"Why did you lock the door? It's unlike you." Blaze pointed out, dropping the suitcase by the inner door to the closet.
"Let's just say I'm still trying to get used to this place. I'm unfamiliar with the servants and I do not want someone entering my room while I'm undressing.
"Fair enough."
"By the way, have you had your shower yet?" Amelia asked changing the topic.
"No. I'm planning to do so in my bathroom but I can join you if you want me to." A mischievous smirk curled up Blaze's lips as he slowly approached her.
Amelia's face reddened. "I'll pass. See you at dinner." She said and quickly hurried into the bathroom closing the door behind her.
Blaze chuckled before leaving the room.

After taking a warm rejuvenating bath, and changing into another cardigan, paired with leggings, Amelia joined her mother-in-law and husband downstairs in the dining room.
The heavenly aroma of grilled chicken, chilli pasta and spicy soup greeted her nostrils as she stepped foot in the dining room.

"Hello, sweetheart. You're looking refreshed." Maria said beaming as Amelia approached the table.
"I feel refreshed, mom. It's good to be back home." Amelia replied smiling, while scanning the assorted delicacies spread across the table. "Are we having a feast?"
"Yes, darling." Blaze stood up to receive his wife. He gently planted a feathery kiss on her lips before pulling out a seat for her beside his mother.
"Where are the guests?" Amelia asked looking at her husband, who had already taken his seat beside her.
"You're looking at them," Blaze replied patting her on the back of her left hand.
"Just the three of us to eat all this food?" Amelia's eyes widened in alarm.
"Yes, dear. Mom went all out just for you." Blaze replied while serving Amelia the spicy soup which he knew was her favorite.
"It's a feast to welcome you back home," Maria explained, holding Amelia's bewildered gaze. "I had the chef prepare all your favourites in case you lose your appetite for one of them."
"Aww!" Amelia beamed cutely. "That is so thoughtful of you, Mom. Thanks a lot for everything. But I'm afraid most of this food will go to waste. I don't intend on eating that much."
"It's fine. Whatever is left will be taken care of by the mansion staff. Let's dig in."
Dinner was eaten amid lively chatter and laughter, as the family of three bonded happily.
After dinner and spending quality time in each other's company, they all retired to bed for the night.
Snuggled in her husband's protective embrace, Amelia felt a sense of peace and belonging. She felt a deep connection that transcended words, making her feel safe and loved.
But amid this serene and loving environment was a lingering fear. A persistent and unsettling feeling of unease like a shadow lurking in the corner. A dreadful reminder of what the future held for her, especially now that she had broken one of the rules in her contract marriage or was it two rules?
Amelia sighed inwardly. She still couldn't believe that she was pregnant after all measures taken to avert it.
'What if Blaze found out? Would he be mad at her? Would he blame her? Would he end the contract marriage with her? Would he ask for a pregnancy termination or would he accept full responsibility for the pregnancy?'
"Babe, are you all right?" Blaze's deep sexy voice broke through Amelia's reveries.
Amelia's body stiffened at this question, her heart drumming loudly in her chest. She hadn't anticipated him to be awake. She thought he was asleep all this while.
Blaze on the other hand, who had been observing his wife's uneasiness ever since they got to the bedroom, became more curious. He lifted his hand and pressed a button by the bed head turning on both night lamps.
"Babe..." He propped his head up with his hand and slowly made her face him while stroking her hair softly, pushing it behind her ears to see her face clearly.
"What's the matter? Why aren't you sleeping? Is something bothering you? Are you in pain?"
Amelia averted his gaze as she shook her head, wishing she could melt into the sheets and disappear from the room right now.
The night lamp cast a warm and gentle glow on her flushed face and her lowered gaze, a signal that told Blaze that something was amiss.
"Amy, you know you can tell me anything right?" Blaze said moving closer to her while staring longingly into her face.
Amelia nodded her head, her heart pounding even louder. She kept her trembling hands to herself, afraid of spooking him any further.
"Then talk to me. Unburden your heart and tell me where it aches. There is no problem that can't be solved when we put our heads together. You can trust me."
Amelia lifted her gaze to look at him, her shimmering eyes staring into his subtle one.
'Could she really trust him with her feelings? Could she trust him with the news of her pregnancy?'
Amelia's lips moved slightly but no sound came out from her throat.
Blaze became even more worried than before. He sat up and made her do the same while taking her slightly cold hands into his and holding them gently.
"How about I ask you a question and you simply nod if it is related to what is bothering you," Blaze suggested seeing that she was having some trouble expressing her emotions.
Amelia nodded, her lips curling in a faint smile.
"Does it have anything to do with my mom?"
Amelia smiled at the mention of Maria's name. She shook her head, blinking back her tears which were threatening to fall. She couldn't understand why she was suddenly feeling so emotional giving Blaze more reasons to be worried about her.
