Chapter 1008: Is 1007 pregnant?
This evening, Wen Ran and Bai Xiaoxiao shared a bed.
Mo Xiuchen had opened a room next door, giving time to the two best sisters who hadn’t seen each other for months.
Though they would call and email each other normally, now that they had met, there were endless topics to talk about. It wasn’t until after eleven o’clock at night that they fell asleep, too tired to keep their eyes open.
The next day, they slept in until noon, two lazy pigs finally getting out of bed.
Wen Ran and Mo Xiuchen had planned a travel itinerary before coming, and Bai Xiaoxiao, that third wheel, took it for granted. Because of the situation on Luo Haofeng’s end, Mo Xiuchen generously did not drive away Bai Xiaoxiao.
He became their photographer without any complaints or regrets, taking all kinds of beautiful photos for them.
On the eve of the Lunar New Year back in their home country, Wen Ran and Bai Xiaoxiao, along with Mo Xiuchen, each made calls back home.
After Bai Xiaoxiao finished all the calls she had to make, she stared at her phone, somewhat hesitant and undecided.
When Wen Ran was done with her calls, she turned her head and saw Bai Xiaoxiao sitting on the couch next to her, staring into space. Her eyes twinkled as she joked, “Xiaoxiao, what are you daydreaming about?”
Bai Xiaoxiao smiled at her and, looking at Mo Xiuchen who was coming in from the balcony, asked as if offhandedly, “Mo Xiuchen, did you call Luo Haofeng?”
“I did, he’s having the New Year’s Eve dinner with his parents. It seems he got quite drunk; he wasn’t speaking clearly,” Mo Xiuchen said with a slight curve at the corner of his mouth, repeating the excuse he had thought of earlier. Walking in front of the sofa, he sat down beside Wen Ran, his arm stretching naturally to pull her into his embrace.
That night, after the passion subsided, Wen Ran nestled in Mo Xiuchen’s arms and asked softly, “This morning when you called Luo Haofeng, was he with Qi Meiling?”
Mo Xiuchen nodded, the voice that spilled from his thin lips was deep and magnetic, “Yes, I heard Qi Meiling’s voice. It seemed like their two families were having the New Year’s Eve dinner together.”
A trace of disappointment flashed in Wen Ran’s eyes. She pursed her lips and said no more.
Mo Xiuchen leaned down to plant a kiss on her forehead and said softly, holding her, “Ranran, Luo Haofeng promised his mom that he would break up with Xiaoxiao, but he did not agree to marry Qi Meiling.”
“Break up with Xiaoxiao?”

Wen Ran lifted her gaze slightly to look at Mo Xiuchen.
“Ah Feng said it was just a temporary measure; he couldn’t actually drive his mom to her death. Maybe he has not yet figured out how to tell Xiaoxiao, so he has not called her yet.”
“Ranran, don’t tell Xiaoxiao for now; in a few days, Ah Feng will call her himself,” Mo Xiuchen pondered and comforted softly.
“Okay.”
Wen Ran understood Luo Haofeng’s difficulties, and if he and Xiaoxiao had a chance to continue, she did not want to be the reason for their breakup.
In the following days, Bai Xiaoxiao traveled with them to many cities. Happy times always seem to pass quickly, and in the blink of an eye, it was time for Wen Ran and Mo Xiuchen to return home.
“Ranran, I really wish I could keep you here to study with me.”
The day before they left, Bai Xiaoxiao hugged Wen Ran reluctantly, resting her head on her shoulder.
Wen Ran was also reluctant to part with her; after all, they were separated by the Pacific Ocean and couldn’t just meet on a whim. “Xiaoxiao, you must take care of yourself here.”
“I wanted you to meet Miqin, but as soon as she got off for the holidays, she went home to be with her mom. I called her yesterday, and her mom got sick, so she won’t be back to school for a few more days,” Bai Xiaoxiao said with some regret.
“Didn’t you say last time that you wanted to take her picture for me to see?” Wen Ran looked at Bai Xiaoxiao with a smile.
“Don’t even mention it, she doesn’t like taking photos, as cold as ice—in fact, she’s pretty cold to me as well,” Bai Xiaoxiao grumpily pouted.
“Our Xiaoxiao is so warmhearted, she’s bound to melt that block of ice,” Wen Ran reassured with a smile.
On the 18th day of the first lunar month, Wen Ran and Mo Xiuchen ended their honeymoon in D Country and flew back to G City.

Gu Kai couldn’t come to the airport because he had surgery.
Wen Jin picked them up and took the opportunity to tell Mo Xiuchen, “Those people who wanted to hurt Ranran before the New Year were sent by Liao Dongxing. He holds a grudge against you for getting him locked up for life, and he wanted revenge.”
“Liao Dongxing.” A chill flickered across Mo Xiuchen’s gaze. Had Wen Jin not mentioned the name, he would have almost forgotten him.
“Were those people caught?”
Wen Jin nodded, “Of course, they were caught. Liao Dongxing was called out during the first trial, and moreover, the advance payment he had given them served as evidence.”
“What’s wrong with Ranran?”
Mo Xiuchen saw Wen Ran suddenly grimace in discomfort and couldn’t help but furrow his brows, swiftly asking with concern.
Wen Ran raised a hand to cover her mouth, experiencing a tumult in her stomach. She gagged and remembered her period had not arrived this month; her heart immediately began racing.
Wen Jin noticed Ranran’s condition, a hint of confusion flashed in his eyes, then a smile emerged, “Ranran, could it be that you are?”
“Ranran, could you be pregnant?”
As astute as Mo Xiuchen was, he immediately caught on when Wen Jin asked that question.
Surprise shimmered in his deep eyes as he looked at Wen Ran, incredulous, yet filled with joy.
Although he hadn’t planned on having children so soon, he wouldn’t dislike having one.
Wen Ran blinked, seeing both Mo Xiuchen and Wen Jin staring at her with eager anticipation. She felt a slight warmth on her face and said somewhat sheepishly, “Maybe, I’m not sure.”
“Let’s not go home first. Let’s go to the hospital.”
Wen Jin instructed the driver. Originally, he was supposed to take Mo Xiuchen and Wen Ran straight home, but now hearing Wen Ran’s uncertainty, his first thought was to go to the hospital.
Mo Xiuchen held Wen Ran tightly, gazing tenderly at her. His mind raced, pondering when it could have happened.
That time, hadn’t he replaced the condom?
How could Ranran still be pregnant?
Upon arriving at Kangning Hospital, Mo Xiuchen changed from interlacing his fingers with Wen Ran’s to wrapping his arm around her waist, full of caution, “Ranran, be careful.”
“Mo Xiuchen, can you not be so nervous, please? Even if I am really pregnant, it’s not that delicate.”
Wen Ran was rather speechless at Mo Xiuchen’s overprotectiveness. He treated her like she was made of fragile crystal glass. She could hardly walk without him holding her waist.
Mo Xiuchen frowned slightly, his tone serious, “It’s always better to be cautious. When did you start feeling nauseous? Why didn’t you tell me sooner?”
“Today’s the first time.”
Wen Ran held up a finger, gazing innocently at him.
Mo Xiuchen smiled tenderly, “If I knew, I wouldn’t have bought a direct flight ticket. If we had made two transfers, you wouldn’t be so exhausted.”
Wen Jin rolled his eyes at Mo Xiuchen’s nervous appearance, “Mo Xiuchen, Ranran said she’s not sure. Do you need to be this anxious? If Ranran really is pregnant, there are still several months to go. How are you going to make it through?”
