Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot-Chapter 565 - 564: Oh, Bunny Has Become Smart
Nia Mitchell had truly changed. She was no longer the girl who would just sit there, smiling sweetly, and never resist anything.
She started to argue back, and there was no fault to be found in her words.
They even felt hungry; Nia Mitchell was right.
Indeed, they hadn’t explicitly said they *wouldn’t* pay, so it couldn’t be argued they had implicitly agreed to foot the bill either.
No one dared to contradict Nia Mitchell’s statement.
It seemed that if anyone did, they would be the one to pick up the tab.
"So, we should stick to the initial plan: go Dutch."
Ultimately, Nia Mitchell proposed a solution: returning to the original agreement was the best choice.
However, for this particular meal, going Dutch was exceedingly difficult.
Among those present, it was likely that only a few could afford to pay their own share.
Ralph Perez also felt he was in a difficult position. He was the class president. Earlier, when he tried to stop everyone from ordering, no one had listened to him. At this moment, he was the one left most embarrassed and feeling utterly defeated.
"Let’s see if we can cancel the dishes that haven’t arrived yet."
Ralph Perez suddenly stood up, his expression grim as he spoke.
Just then, the Manager arrived with several Waiters to serve more dishes. Seeing the Manager, Ralph Perez stood up to inquire.
"Manager, can we cancel the dishes that haven’t arrived yet?"
Cancel them?
The Manager was visibly taken aback. He subconsciously glanced towards Nia Mitchell, sitting to one side, only to be surprised to see Yancy Hastings was also present.
Uh...
"Well, the dishes on the order are already being prepared."
So, the Manager meant it wouldn’t be easy to return them, right?
Ralph Perez’s expression darkened further; he was somewhat at a loss.
He desperately wanted to ask, "Manager, we don’t have enough money. What should we do?"
"Is there anything else?" the Manager asked, looking at Ralph Perez.
"No, nothing else."
Ralph Perez forced a smile. After watching the Manager leave, he sat back down.
It’s over...
This was the first time so many dishes had been served, yet no one moved their chopsticks.
"Let’s all discuss what to do," Ralph Perez’s voice echoed in the private booth.
Silence followed. No one said a word; the atmosphere was incredibly tense.
"Nia Mitchell, since you’re rich, why don’t you just pay the bill?" a female classmate suddenly spoke up.
Everyone’s eyes instantly focused on Nia Mitchell.
Apparently, more than one person thought so.
"Just because I might have money, I should be the one to pay? Did my money fall from the sky?"
Why should I?
Nia Mitchell shot the female classmate a disdainful look, then didn’t even bother to glance at the others.
Perhaps Nia Mitchell’s attitude had cut them too deeply. Although everyone remained silent, resentment festered among them.
"If everyone thinks the one with money should pay, why not ask Julia Adams?" Nia Mitchell suddenly smirked, pushing Julia Adams, who had been sitting aside, seemingly unconcerned, into the spotlight.
Instantly, all eyes turned to Julia Adams.
True, no one really knew if Nia Mitchell had money, or how much. But they had been Julia Adams’s classmates for four years; how could they not know if *she* had money?
Julia Adams frowned in displeasure as she met everyone’s gaze.
She did have some money, it was true, but this meal was far too expensive. It wasn’t that she couldn’t afford it, but rather that it was an expense so large it was genuinely painful and felt utterly unwarranted. Even if she had more money, it was her family’s money. How could her family possibly agree to her shelling out so much just to treat her classmates to a meal?
For a moment, Julia Adams felt uncomfortably put on the spot.
