Flash Marriage: She becomes Mrs. CEO after the Failed Dowry Talk-Chapter 25: Mess to Clean Up
Spencer paused for a moment; at home, no one dared to speak to him like this. ๐๐ณ๐๐๐๐ฆ๐ฃ๐ฏโด๐ฃ๐ฆ๐.๐ค๐๐
Quentin always indulged him, and that woman May didnโt even dare to utter a peep, yet today an outsider dared to speak up!
"You..."
He was about to curse back, but Quentin hurriedly stopped him.
"Your brother-in-law is right; this kid is so spoiled that he doesnโt even know how to pour water when itโs right in front of him."
Quentin chuckled, his mind filled with schemes.
Judging by Jasperโs attitude towards Nora, he seemed to value her, which made it easier for Quentin to get money.
His mind was calculating loudly, and his eyes kept darting towards the homeโs dรฉcor; the man certainly had some resources, paying 188,000 in bride money wasnโt a problem, and he could stay here.
"You guys rest a bit, Iโll help Nora prepare the meal."
Jasper led Nora into the kitchen, with this familyโs scheming laid out openly.
He found it annoying to watch.
As soon as they entered the kitchen, his phone rang; his aunt was already outside the door.
"You start preparing; Iโll go let Aunt in." Saying that, he went out.
Nora nodded; though her marriage to Mr. Sinclair was rushed, the recent protection truly warmed her heart, and her mouth involuntarily curled into a slight smile.
She seemed to feel that living with Mr. Sinclair like this wouldnโt be bad.
Outside, Raina Sinclair looked at Jasperโs impatient face with some confusion.
Her bright face was full of puzzlement: "Whatโs wrong? Who got on your nerves?"
After shutting the door and changing her shoes, without waiting for his response, she noticed the situation in the living room and understood.
"You go ahead; just looking at this gives me a headache." Jasper dumped the situation onto his aunt and hid in the kitchen.
If he wasnโt worried about revealing his identity, Quentinโs family of three would have been kicked out long ago.
She held onto her displeasure and walked to the sofa.
When Quentin saw her, his eyes lit up, and those beady eyes spun with thoughts that Raina understood at once.
She clicked her tongue, never expecting the in-laws of her niece to be so โinterestingโ.
"You must be the in-law; you look really young," Quentin said, stepping forward to shake her hand.
She extended her hand seemingly to meet his, but in the next second, she grabbed the cup beside her and took a sip.
"No need for a handshake; Iโm not Jasperโs mother. His mother has passed away; Iโm his aunt."
Despite her cold and glamorous demeanor, Quentin found her even more attractive.
That greasy old face put on what he thought was a charming expression, while Mayโs eyes flashed an imperceptible chill, though she wore a somewhat bitter expression.
Meanwhile, the two in the kitchen worked seamlessly together.
"I originally thought Mr. Sinclair wouldnโt know how to do these things." She praised his skillful vegetable chopping.
"I started from scratch, so these things are really nothing."
Jasperโs voice lacked emotion; even though the Sinclair family was prominent, when he had just come of age, his family gave him very little money to venture out on his own as a training exercise.
Fortunately, the outcome was good in the end.
Nora chatted with him in a casual, unenthusiastic manner, yet every sentence received a reply.
In no time, the two finished cooking.
Eight dishes, large and small, were placed on the table.
Seeing it was time to eat, Raina breathed a sigh of relief: finally no more listening to this man boast.
"Come on, dinnerโs ready."
At the dining table, Quentin continued rambling on about his plans.
