Flash Marriage: She becomes Mrs. CEO after the Failed Dowry Talk-Chapter 913: Dating Like Ordinary Couples
The first meeting between Nora Northwood and Professor Bishop, overall, was very pleasant.
When they left, she felt a bit weak in her legs.
"Jasper, I can’t walk, could you carry me to the car?"
Nora’s tone was coquettish, and Jasper Sinclair picked her up without a word.
Suddenly being lifted off the ground gave her a sense of weightlessness.
Even after getting back in the car, Nora clung to Jasper Sinclair’s neck, unwilling to let go.
Meanwhile, memories of Professor Bishop’s words kept replaying in her mind.
During her pregnancy, Nora’s reaction speed wasn’t as sharp as before, but that didn’t mean she couldn’t tell that Professor Bishop was reporting back to her in the best possible way.
Whether or not Jasper Sinclair authorized it, she couldn’t quite figure out and had no way of knowing.
"Jasper, let’s go see a movie."
"Sure, which one do you want to see?"
"I mean, let’s go to the cinema for a date."
Nora just realized that they rarely went on typical dates like ordinary couples.
They were always busy with work, and the occasional surprise was jewelry and grand fireworks, all built with real gold and silver.
This time, she didn’t want an expensive French restaurant; she wanted a cinema filled with people and a claw machine with a line.
How could Jasper Sinclair not understand her mind?
He caressed her clean cheek, giving a full promise: "We’ll watch many more movies together in the future."
With that, the driver re-planned the route to a cinema hidden inside a mall.
Today was a rest day, and the number of people in the cinema had doubled, with the sweet smell of popcorn lingering in the air.
Nora chose a literary romance film and, in anticipation, bought a pack of tissues, preparing for a good cry.
It was a chance to release some of her emotions.
As it turned out, Nora overestimated her energy and the quality of this literary film.
Halfway through the movie, her chin began to bob up and down.
Jasper noticed her movement and raised the partition between them.
They had bought a couple’s seat, where the partition could be raised or lowered.
Nora’s head found a place to lean, resting on Jasper’s shoulder, and she soon fell asleep.
Once she was sound asleep, Jasper had little interest in watching the movie.
By the light of the screen, he could clearly trace the outline of her profile, her willowy eyebrows, delicate nose...
A pair of black eyes, as if inked with a brush.
Jasper couldn’t imagine how devastating it would be for Nora if she relapsed.
The movie ended promptly at six, and the commotion of people leaving gradually woke Nora.
She yawned and looked at Jasper a bit sheepishly, "Why didn’t you wake me up?"
"I wanted you to have a good rest."
It was clear that she had initiated the movie, but fell asleep during it, which was indeed impolite.
But Jasper wouldn’t dwell on the polite or impolite; he just wanted her to relax and be happy.
"What was the ending of the movie?"
"The male protagonist took his wife to a very remote town, where they invested in a bed-and-breakfast, and just as tourism flourished, they met people from all over the world—a very happy ending."
In reality, this was all Jasper’s fabrication, or perhaps his imagined, hoped-for ending.
Those who truly love each other should receive God’s blessing.
