Flash Marriage: She becomes Mrs. CEO after the Failed Dowry Talk-Chapter 945: He Was Right About Everything
"I said shut up!"
Rachel Woodward, in a fit of madness, hurled the ceramic cup in her hand towards Louis Hayes.
Louis, being agile, sidestepped slightly to avoid Rachel’s attack, a small movement that wasn’t enough to injure him.
He mentioned James Woodward, who was in prison, and Rachel showed no reaction, clearly indicating there wasn’t the slightest familial bond between them.
After living together for over twenty years, Rachel’s capacity for such cold-blooded behavior was truly astonishing.
Jasper Sinclair gave Louis a signal, indicating that he could stop.
The next words were for Jasper to say personally.
"Will Lynn Woodward still be willing to help you knowing you’re not her real niece?"
"I am her real niece, don’t you spread lies!"
"Let’s be clear, you know it yourself. You’ve interacted with Jenson Sinclair for quite some time; you should know his style. If he knows you might betray him, you know better than I what measures he would take."
An infant’s cries interrupted their conversation.
Rachel shouted at the woman, "Take Cherry back to the room."
The sound of crying gradually faded, finally being isolated in another space by a door.
Jasper leisurely watched Rachel, seemingly allowing her time to think.
About three minutes passed before he spoke again, "Tell me your plan. If my wife and children come to no harm, you and your daughter will live long lives."
His tone was calm, but his words were chilling.
Rachel’s waist noticeably bent down, her palms supporting her at her sides.
Her mind was in a muddle.
The events of today had diverged from the path she had imagined.
Each incident was proving to her that she underestimated Jasper’s capabilities.
Jasper’s voice, like a curse, continually echoed in her ears: "Five minutes have already passed. My time is precious. I’ll give you a final two minutes to think."
Louis chimed in, "In Stanton City, making a baby without a registered household disappear is a simple matter."
"You dare!"
Hearing her daughter was in danger, Rachel instinctively resisted; it was her natural instinct.
Jasper admitted that he used despicable means, leveraging the power of maternal love to threaten Rachel.
He had no other choice.
To keep Nora Northwood alive, he had to stoop to such tactics.
No mother doesn’t love her child, and Rachel was no exception.
Finally, she exasperatedly asked, "What do you want to know?"
Jasper’s analysis was not wrong; if Lynn Woodward and her daughter knew she wasn’t biologically part of the Woodward Family, they certainly wouldn’t be on her side.
Jenson’s methods could probably be ten thousand times more vile than Jasper’s.
Rachel was clear on what mattered most.
After experiencing so much, she was no longer the headstrong heiress she once was.
Now, Jasper had achieved his purpose.
He asked, "Is your drug source from the Shepherd Family?"
"Partly, yes."
"Explain it clearly, and don’t have any sinister thoughts, or you’ll face consequences you can’t bear."
With those words, Rachel felt a tremor in her heart.
She gritted her teeth and said, "Boss Shepherd provided part of it to Jenson, but as for the source in Jenson’s possession, I’m not sure."
She looked at Jasper’s icy face and added, "Jenson has leverage over my family, forcing them to act this way."
