Flash Marriage: She becomes Mrs. CEO after the Failed Dowry Talk-Chapter 956: Safely Arrived in Paris
"It’s time to rest."
Jasper Sinclair said, wrapping his arm around Nora Northwood’s waist, pulling her closer.
Thinking about the flight attendant who could appear at any moment, a blush quietly crept up Nora’s cheeks. She gently pushed against his arm, seeming more like she was playfully resisting.
A soft chuckle came from above, and Jasper leaned down to capture her tender lips, his other hand cupping her chin.
"Jasper... there are people around..."
Nora’s voice came out haltingly, and during the pauses in her words, she inadvertently gave Jasper more opportunities to advance.
The V-neck of her dress slipped off one shoulder, revealing half of her fragrant shoulder. Her skin was as white as snow, simply captivating.
Nora perked up her ears, hearing the sound of high heels approaching not far away, and quickly pinched Jasper’s side.
The latter winced in pain, giving Nora a chance to slip away.
The flight attendant approached with an exquisite fruit platter, "Director Sinclair, Mrs. Sinclair, here is some fruit we prepared for you."
Nora thanked her, and after the flight attendant left, she noticed Jasper still watching her intently, desire lingering in his eyes.
Nora teased, "Look at you, never satisfied. Eat more fruit."
"Don’t think that just because you’re pregnant, I won’t do anything to you."
Jasper’s eyes remained fixed on the corner of her lips.
Nora paused as she reached for the blueberries, a hint of complexity in her expression.
Then, a soft, girlish voice spilled from her throat, "You need to be rational!"
She, trying to please him, offered the blueberries in her hand.
Jasper found her occasional attentiveness especially pleasing, and when his lips brushed her fingertips, he could still feel her warmth.
The juice of the blueberries burst in his mouth, and Jasper commented slowly, "Not sweet."
The person holding the fruit platter bristled instantly, "You actually said the blueberries I fed you aren’t sweet!"
"Not as sweet as you."
"Jasper Sinclair, don’t say cheesy things to me!" Nora felt a chill down her spine.
Jasper watched her so disdainful, wondering if he got something wrong?
Could it be that the secret love phrases taught to him by Louis Hayes didn’t work on Nora?
Nora had no idea that her reaction caused Louis to lose a month’s bonus for no reason.
...
The plane landed at Veridia International Airport in Paris at nine in the evening.
The time in Paris was seven hours behind the domestic time; now it was two in the afternoon.
Nora calculated the time and sent safety messages to Elaine and a few close friends at home.
Elaine had expressed vehement disapproval of this trip to Paris.
Fortunately, Nora didn’t experience much pregnancy symptoms, not even the morning sickness that most pregnant women endure.
However, when the medication kicks in... it’s a pain incomparable to morning sickness. The pain she endured increased tenfold, a hundredfold.
To ensure a smooth trip, Jasper had Professor Bishop prepare pain medication before their departure, readily available for her during any episode.
As they exited the airport, a young girl hurriedly came to greet them.
"Director Sinclair, Mrs. Sinclair, welcome to Paris, delighted to be at your service."
The girl who welcomed them was named Tina, currently employed at The Sinclair Group’s Paris branch. She had worked in Paris for over a decade and knew every nook and cranny, acting both as a coordinator for their itinerary and as their guide for this trip.
