Chapter 131 - 131. Info trade
Even after Henry's assurance, I still wouldn't feel comfortable pulling down my pants in front of him, so I first cleaned my upper body while turned away from him, explaining my ability.
"The time limit can be expanded, you think?" He asked.
"I am sure, but I think that needs training or the elimination of a counterpart." I said, turning around to find Henry fully clothed, which I had figured, I had given him enough time.
"But I don't plan on killing any of my counterparts unless it's..." Seeing his eyes staring at my naked upper body, I looked down as well. Oh right, my stab wounds.
"What... is this?" He asked in an icy tone.
"Your sister," I shrugged.
"She stabbed you?" He came towards me and raised his hand, hovering over the pinkish scarred wounds without touching my skin.
My body was already in shambles anyway, so it didn't matter, and I planned to cover everything with tattoos eventually. Well, with the exception of my hands, because in my last gay vision, I had my hands tattooed to my knuckles, so let's hope that changes the course of my future.
"If you have no gay thoughts, you can touch the wounds. I got myself a ticket back inside the solitary cell for two weeks or so to heal."
"Elaborate?" He asked, looking livid while still staring at my body, directly placing his hands on my wounds.
"Well, ever seen the Butterfly Effect? That one is really old."
"Yes." When he touched the stab wound on my chest, he grimaced slightly as if he experienced the pain himself.
"It was like this: I had a blackout while in the solitary cell, and when your sister stabbed me, I went back there, filling the blackout with my injured self to heal. Though I don't know if I can pull that off a second time." I snickered.
"If it weren't for your ability, you would have died." Henry's eyes finally met mine again, and with his hand on my chest, feeling my heartbeat, the situation became strange once more, though he didn't look particularly friendly or flirty at the moment.
IF I HADN'T HAD THESE SHITTY VISIONS, I WOULD NOT CONSTANTLY THINK IN THAT DIRECTION AAAAHHH! I WANT MY OLD LIFE BACK!
"Are you thinking of something gay right now?" I asked with narrowed eyes.
His agitated face broke into laughter as he stepped back.
"No. I'm just a bit furious. Do you have a cigarette for me?"
I conjured up a burning one and gave it to him, also getting one for myself.
"One minute," I reminded him, and Henry nodded.
"Yeah, I remember; two things." The towel had already disappeared.
It was strange to see Henry smoking, somehow unfitting yet strangely matching with his male beauty along with his mole.
Now he was dressed in a black tracksuit with thin neon green stripes vertically all over it. It was quite painful to the eyes, but he could make it look good.
I had a purely black one for when I would be done with 'showering', which was better. No idea what my grandma thought when buying Henry's; given the size, it should have been for my father. She was probably just acting passive-aggressive and wanted to irritate him by planning to make him wear it someday.

If I imagine my father wearing that... well, it would indeed be funny.
"That damn bitch." Henry breathed out smoke and looked into the distance.
"You mean your sister?" I asked, and he nodded. I hadn't thought I'd ever hear him call her that.
"Well, she got what she deserved. I bit her, sucked her blood, and I disabled her hands; she can never hold a stone or baseball bat again."
"Did she come at you with a bat?" Henry looked at me.
"Yeah."
"Good. As her brother, I appreciate you disciplining her in my stead." He stared straight at the ground again.
"It's not that simple... When we make it back to our world, I will hand her over to the military and tell them about her ability to open and close portals, in the hope they will use her for closing new ones." I didn't want to immediately destroy our newly built little friendship, but I wouldn't let go of this plan.
"She can open them as well... true. They arrived just like this from the first world." Henry took a deep breath and nodded.
The cigarettes disappeared, and I conjured another towel up, clearing my throat.
"Henry..."
"Hm?" He still looked at his empty hand in wonder.
"She is the reason for the worlds clashing."
Henry didn't answer but looked at the ground instead, nodding numbly. He laughed before again stopping and staring at one point on the floor.
"Come at me with everything. Tell me everything you know before I have to see her again."
I told him to turn around, and he did so mechanically. Then I stripped and washed the rest of the blood away while describing each of my visions, one after another, without leaving anything out and beginning with the concept of awareness and links.
When I came to the third vision, describing the couple leaving and Henrietta leading them to the newly built district, in which vicinity, so many years later, her dead counterpart would be found, he started laughing again.
"Part of the exact crane you described, crashed into the building, and parts of that building smashed our parents before our eyes."
"What?" I looked up, and Henry turned around to meet my gaze. Given that revelation, I didn't tell him to turn away again; I was finished 'showering' anyway.
My vision of screams and people squished by concrete... What I thought to be an earthquake had actually been this kind of accident; the moment where her parents had died.
".... Did she go psycho because she felt guilty for stirring her parents to the crane?" I asked Henry while putting on the fresh dark training pants.
"Did she go psycho because she blamed this 'Emilia'? Because she wanted to meet her, she dragged my parents to where it felt like 'Emilia'? It should be like that... Don't stop; tell me the rest."
Once I was dressed, I sat on the floor and conjured up new cigarettes for us, which I had to do repeatedly because one minute is still too short for a good smoke and conversation. Henry sat across from me, listening and smirking with an ugly face when he heard about Henrietta killing Henry2 just like that.
I also explained how Henrietta tried to kill off Vampire-Henrietta in the hope of leveling up enough to flee from the shadows, ultimately bringing them to us, as well as why I decided to close the portal.
When I had finished, I told him that I didn't intend to let her parents2 know, so they could be used as her leash.
Henry nodded, still lost in thought.
I conjured up a glass of whisky and handed it to him.
He took it with a chuckle and downed it.
"Thanks."
"No problem. Want another drink or should we go eat?"
"We are already late; let's go..." He stopped after standing up.
"Give me another one, a double shot."
I grinned and obliged, being a good bartender by nature.
Once he had downed the alcohol, I conjured up two needles, and the glass disappeared.
I am really curious how the others will react when meeting not only a shadow-free Henry, but also a freshly showered and newly clothed one, without blood covering his looks.
