Flip the Coin [BL]-Chapter 461. Up there
The next time I woke up, I thought all the shit I had first heard and then done had been a dream.
Then I looked at the closet where the kitchen knife was still stuck in the door and got angry.
Fucking unbelievable.
He really did it. He managed to bring me to voluntarily use the shit he bought; I can’t fucking believe it.
What had this dumb dog done to me, bewitching me so effortlessly? Aahhhh!!!
I was alone in my room, and that fact pissed me off even more. How dare he run after what he had done without getting his ass kicked?
I straightened up and noted that it was at least afternoon, given the sunlight flooding the room.
I stood up, and seeing that I had not been crippled by the stunt in the bathroom from the dead of the night, I still made sure by twisting my body to the left and right.
No pain or anything; nor did anything feel different than always.
Very good.
I opened the room door and went out, instantly going to the adjoining room.
First, I wanted to kick the door open, but then I heard my grandmother speak with Ren in the kitchen and didn’t want to alert her to come over and nag me.
So I just opened the door civilly, seeing no puppy.
What the fuck?
I opened the door of the cursed bathroom, and without going in, I took a look by leaning inside; it was empty as well.
?!??! WHERE IS HE??
Leaving the room, I nearly ran my grandmother over.
"Holy!" I cursed and stepped back, startled, while she looked at me in dissatisfaction, patting her heart.
"WHY ARE YOU RUNNING IN THE HOUSE?" she chided, and I sidestepped her to walk to the kitchen.
"That’s the way young people walk... Have you seen Henry?" I arrived in the doorframe to the kitchen and spotted Ren and the staff sergeant inside, both eating pudding.
Ren instantly waved at me with a wide grin, pulling his locket out from under his shirt for me to see.
I smiled and waved back at him, hearing my grandmother following me with a grumble.
Though her tone changed from the usual to fake-friendly.
"I have not... Go on a walk with me now."
I hugged myself in fear hearing her again insisting on taking me out.
"No, go away!" I turned to go up the stairs, and my grandmother continued to follow, her tone turning strained as if she was physically suffering from speaking nicely.
"It is such a nice day outside! GO AND WATCH THE FLOWERS WITH ME!"
"WHAT FLOWERS? YOU SOUND LIKE A KIDNAPPER!" I sped up my steps, and when I reached the top of the stairs, I looked into the throne room; I still found no Henry.
The moment I wanted to leave the room, my grandmother positioned herself in the doorframe like some murderous demon.
"Caught you! You want to tackle an old lady??? GO ON A WALK WITH ME!!"
"Pfft, you old hag... forgotten who you are dealing with?" I teleported away, precisely to Henry, which I could have done immediately after waking up.
"DON’T YOU DARE!!" The demon yelled but in the end was left behind.
Surprisingly, I appeared on the rooftop.
Today the wind blew heavily, though the sun beamed down just as strong.
Henry sat with his short-sleeved shirt and pulled-in legs there like a miserable little puppy, not looking up at me.
I kicked his back, cautious with my strength to not send him flying.
"Why are you here? What’s this about?"
Henry put his head on his arms, turning away from me in an exasperated motion.
"I am reflecting on myself..."
"As you should!" I scoffed, kicking him again.
"I am such a bad partner... to talk you into this, although you have been nothing but good to me...." He murmured like a starved ghost.
"So you know," I answered, noting that even while playing the victim, he had to enforce his identity as my partner, pfft.
Though... his figure surely looked unusually small all of a sudden.
"I have become so greedy for you... and your body... I am reflecting on how not to want you so much anymore...."
I squinted my eyes, not really liking the show he was pulling.
"Hah... I should be content with just holding hands..." He continued.
"..." this motherfucker.
"Maybe we should just call the whole thing o—"
"Henry." I pressed my palms against my eyes, thinking that I must have really wronged that dramatic, manipulative, gaslighting psycho puppy in my past life.
"I will give you one chance. Stop the shit right now."
I put my hands away and looked down to see the puppy looking up at me.
Behind the play, I saw real fear in his eyes of having really gone too far this time and of being abandoned.
He quietly looked at me with his head sideways on top of his arms, not faking anymore, just watching me to gauge my mood.
Then he reached for my pants leg and tugged it slightly, not letting go.
"..." Well, one had to give it to him; what he was doing to me, intentional and unintentional, worked on me perfectly.
"Yesterday, Ren and I ate your food. It was delicious," I confessed, not seeing him react.
"So... I wanted to cook for you today." I smiled amicably and saw his imaginary ears perk up and his imaginary tail swinging happily, his eyes sparkling like a child’s.
"But I won’t cook for you anymore~," I finished and saw Henry jump up, holding his heart as if he had just received a critical blow.
"Why? I am hungry! Can’t you just cook something? You only cooked once for me!" He lunged at me to hug me, whimpering quite a bit.
"Nope, and how many times have you cooked for me??"
Henry froze for a second before chuckling deeply.
"So you wanted to taste my cooking?"
I laughed speechlessly.
"Not at fucking all."
"Don’t be shy~~~" 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚
I pushed his face away.
"No, go away!"
"WHERE IS HE??!?!" I heard a yell from downstairs near the entrance door and saw my grandmother looking around the front yard before peering up and spotting me.
Henry had instantly hidden behind me, and because we were standing on the top of the roof and it was tilting back down behind me, he should have really managed to hide from her eyes.
"YOU!" My grandmother pointed at me."
"YOU GO ON A WALK WITH ME, NOW!"
"Don’t go... It sounds sketchy..." Henry said from behind me while holding onto my shirt and pressing his face between my shoulder blades.
"You think I don’t know?" I mumbled back while looking down.
Seeing that my lips moved but hearing nothing, my grandmother tilted her head.
"WHAT?"
"WHAT WHAT?" I shot back.
"WHAT??" she yelled.
"WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU???" I screamed, and she eventually hollered back at full force.
"NO FOOD FOR YOU IF YOU DON’T COME DOWN AND GO ON A STROLL WITH ME THIS INSTANT!" The wind tore at her voice, but even the people inside the city should have been able to hear her.
"Don’t go, please don’t go... I’ll get food for you." Henry still gripped my shirt, burrowing his head against my back.
Hmmm... hearing him so panicky made me curious.
"What are you scared of?" I asked while watching my grandmother yell for a broom.
Pfft... One measly broom won’t reach the roof.
As if she had heard my thoughts, she yelled for a ladder as well.
"She will talk about you and me," Henry answered.
I thought Ethan would come and bring the utensils to get us down from the roof, but it was the staff sergeant bringing a ladder and the kid bringing a broom.
When the latter saw me, he laughed and waved at me again—happy while equipping the demon with weapons. What a cruel traitor.
"And?" I waved back and continued to ask the miserable little shadow behind me.
"And at the moment, you aren’t especially fond of me. What if she influenced you and you agreed?" He poked my back while snuggling up even closer.
"Pfft... How come you are so greedy when you are also so damn insecure?"
"I am greedy BECAUSE I am insecure." He answered honestly.
"Good point." I chuckled while watching my grandmother directing the staff sergeant on where to put the ladder and then ushering him up while shoving the broom at him.
"Well, after the shit I had to do in the bathroom this VERY EARLY morning... it would probably be too late to abandon you. So don’t worry... I am still angry though."
The staff sergeant climbed up swiftly, and after pulling the top of the ladder further up, he was soon getting very close to us.
Why the fuck do we have such a long ladder here??
"...Alright. Okay," Henry choked out and took a deep breath, sniffing me like the perverted puppy he was.
The staff sergeant had nearly reached us, still one and a half meters away but probably able to spot Henry behind me.
He hesitantly reached out with the broom, just going through the motions to make the old mummy happy; the broom was not even near us.
"GIVE HIM A GOOD SHOVE!" My grandmother yelled from downstairs, and the staff sergeant grimaced a bit.
"WE’LL COME DOWN!" I screamed back before addressing the staff sergeant.
"Go down carefully, then we’ll come down as well!" I had to make sure that this poor man didn’t break two hips just because he blindly followed my grandmother’s craziness.
The old man gave me a very thankful look before climbing way slower than before down again.
I watched, ready to teleport down and somehow catch him should he fall; I should have stopped him from coming up in the first place, but the man was much faster than I thought he would be.
He landed on the ground steadily and just received a snort from my grandmother before she pointed at me like some crazed maniac ready to hurl insults at any given moment.
"I’m going to go on a walk with the old dragon." I patted Henry’s head before counting down till I would teleport.
He snaked his arms around me and squeezed me half to death until I reached the end of the countdown and went downstairs.
Instead of a snort, I received what the broom had to offer—the tool my grandmother had snatched from the staff sergeant the moment she saw me arrive.
So unfair, either getting shitty presents or beatings, and that although I am being such a good bo- damn it!
I meant best friend/partner/owner and grandson.
Everyone is despicable as fuck.
