Chapter 1681: Chapter 1242 Those Wise Men Are Too Foolish
In a location not far from the Boundless Space Hole and close to the Sun, a White Crystal suddenly appeared, followed by several forms slowly materializing—Star Shifting.
There was not just one form: a little girl riding a Unicorn, behind her sat a Heavy Armor Knight, holding a human Swordsman. This strange combination was none other than the Little Angel, Little Zombie, Lightning, and Luther that Ange was looking for.
Seeing the enormous Sun radiating intense heat ahead, Luther let out a long breath, feeling pulled back from the edge of collapse: "Oh my, we finally got here, I’m exhausted."
Lightning elongated its horse face, pouting: "What’s there to be tired about? You’re not the one exerting effort; you’re being dragged over here, aren’t you?"
Actually, Lightning was tired itself, but it had a tough mouth. Who could have guessed that just the virtualization step of Star Shifting would be so exhausting? Had it known earlier, it wouldn’t have come along.
"Being dragged over is tiring too, alright? Maintaining virtualization is already exhausting. But this mode of movement is really fast; we’re in the Chaos Plane so quickly now." Luther remarked.
"This is not the Chaos Plane," Lightning corrected.
"Close enough. If the Divine Light Alliance is the Master Plane, then the distance to here is about the same as going to the Chaos Plane. It took Titan eight hundred years to make a round trip back then. We got here in just over ten days—so fast. With this Star Shifting ability, those Star Gods should find it easy to travel around." Luther said.
Luther never thought that one day he would possess the Star God Half Body, and the Battle Qi martial techniques he’s practiced all his life might not even break the Star God’s defenses.
However, after acquiring the Star God’s Body, he could sense the Origin Power. If given some time to convert Origin Power into Battle Qi, he could become a stronger Origin Swordsman, even an Original Truth Sword Saint—just the thought excites him.
However, compared to cultivation, Luther was more eager to explore this world. By nature, he’s restless. Back in the Resting Abyss, he dared to roam all over the world against the Resting Wind. Now, in a completely different world from the Chaos Plane, how could he sit still without taking a look around?
So when Lightning called out to him to go together, he immediately agreed.
Lightning also sighed: "Yeah, those big-headed ones keep saying: Star God Half Bodies don’t have Star Shifting ability, haha, even our Little Angel is smarter. As long as there’s a complete Star God, the rest of the incomplete forms can Star Shift together."
Big-headed is the nickname Lightning gave to the Wise Men like Ursman and Walker, describing their giant heads but seemingly lacking smarts.
These big-headed ones frequently emphasize that Star God Half Bodies don’t have Star Shifting ability, but in reality, as long as there’s one with Star Shifting ability, the rest can simply virtualize and follow along. The big-headed ones’ thinking is too rigid.
Star Shifting requires a marker. Without one, one can also move linearly, to places visible within one’s sight. Thus, they kept Star Shifting towards the direction of the Sun, and after ten or so days of effort, finally moved from the Boundless Space Hole to near the Sun.
Ten or so days—the effort it took? Nearly exhausting. Who would have thought repetitive virtualization could be so tiring?
Luther couldn’t help but defend the big-headed ones: "The Wise Men are looking out for us. Without Star Shifting ability in the Void, it’s dangerous. If we get separated and can’t find each other, then at least three of us won’t be able to leave here."
Lightning rolled its eyes: "And then? Will we die?"
"Uh, that we won’t. Star God Half Bodies are still Star Gods. I’ve never felt in better condition. I could kill several Giant Dragons, easy." Luther claimed.
Star God, the difference between Half Body and complete form is only the inability to Star Shift. But in body strength, element resistance, and survivability, there’s no difference at all.
Luther never dreamed that one day he could stand empty-handed in the Void, not needing to breathe and feeling no discomfort—something he couldn’t do even after reaching Truth Level.
The starting point of a Star God is already the endpoint for humans.
"Not dying is good enough, our Lord will surely save us." Lightning said nonchalantly.
"That’s true. If we disappear, our Lord will find us. So why did we come here?" Luther asked.
Lightning gestured towards Little Angel ahead with its mouth. Little Angel had dismounted and approached the front, then unfolded her large wings.
Six wings formed a large surface. The intense sunlight shone upon it, like rays colliding with the wings, scattering into fine light dots that slowly dissipated.
"Little Angel said, the sunlight is warming, and someone is talking, so she wants to check it out." Lightning explained.
"Sunlight is warming, and someone is talking? What does that mean?" Luther didn’t understand.
Lightning spread its hooves, showing a ’I don’t know either’ expression, casually saying: "Perhaps this God Star is talking to Little Angel. Who knows?"
"How could that be? Wise Men said the God Star hasn’t hatched yet; how could it possibly be talking to her?" Luther questioned.
Lightning pouted: "I told you, their words can’t be trusted. They’re too dumb."
If Ursman and others heard Lightning calling them dumb, they’d probably want to saw off its horn.
Little Angel suddenly folded her wings, her whole body shrinking.
Almost instantly, Little Zombie, Lightning, and Luther also copied her, shrinking down. The whole group transformed from being carefree to being hunched, cooperating seamlessly.
"What’s going on? Has someone arrived?" Lightning immediately asked.
"Ao!" Little Angel exclaimed.
Lightning and Luther immediately pulled long faces: "We don’t understand Aoao language; can you speak Universal Language?"
Just as the words were spoken, Luther looked at Lightning, surprised: "You don’t understand either? Then how did you know ’someone is talking’?"
Lightning pouted: "She can speak human language; she’s just lazy. I know only a few simple sentences in Aoao language—it’s getting more complicated now."
As expected, Little Angel twisted her little face in frustration, pondered for a moment, then said: "It says, quietly."
Luther couldn’t resist asking: "Who is ’it’? Could it be deceiving you? Shouldn’t we report to our Lord?"
Luther felt like a boss whose child was being deceived. What does ’quietly’ mean? If they stealthily go over and get abducted, then what?
Little Angel pointed at the Sun, saying: "Ao!"
Luther felt it was even less reliable—a God Star that hasn’t hatched couldn’t possibly be speaking to Little Angel. Even if it could speak, how could it possibly ask them to be quiet? Wouldn’t the God Star cover for them?
"We should really report to our Lord." Luther insisted.
Little Angel pouted and shook her head, thinking that if she told Ange, he wouldn’t let her play outside on her own. But Ange was too busy; if she waited for him to accompany her, who knows how long she’d have to wait.
But just at the moment she shook her head, her entire head was suddenly knocked forward a bit, as if something tapped her lightly on the head. Then, the sound of Ange’s voice echoed in their minds: "Don’t run, wait."
