Chapter 1694: Chapter 1255: Sure enough, there’s something delicious

The ’land’ beneath our feet is overwhelmingly enormous compared to an ordinary human’s size, stretching over thirty thousand meters from the ’sea surface’ to the ground, capable of covering the surface area of three master planes. Yet, it is merely a remnant of the Tree of Ten Thousand Realms floating on the Sun’s surface.

Similar remnants can be found all over the Sun’s surface, varying in size, most of which are carbonized, crystallized, and transformed into a new type of matter.

This substance has floated on the Sun’s surface for who knows how many years, yet now, the calm surface of the Sun has begun to boil, temperatures suddenly surged, causing these land masses to start slowly sinking.

Under Ange’s measurement, the land beneath our feet has sunken at least two meters. Relative to the thirty thousand meters height it floats above the surface, two meters is almost negligible. If Ange weren’t equipped with the Libra that measures all things, he might not even have noticed.

Yet, no matter how many meters it sinks, as long as it starts sinking, it signifies a change in certain things.

"What did you do? Why did it erupt?" Negris asked in shock at Ange, who had already turned into a fiery form.

Little Fireman also looked at Ange, puzzled, unable to comprehend why a big fiery figure suddenly appeared.

Ange said, "I want to transfer to it."

"You want to transfer your soul to it? Pfft, it’s not a skeleton, are you crazy? Are you hurt? Little Fireman said it can’t bear it and would be burnt, are you hurt?" Negris asked with concern.

This Dead Skull is too whimsical, the Sun is not a skeleton that can casually transfer a soul into. As for being hurt, it doesn’t seem so.

Ange shook his head and said, "Almost."

"What is happening now? You transferred to it, and it got angry?" Negris asked.

Unlike the previously mirror-like calm sea of fire, the Sun’s surface now boils like an open pot of water, with gigantic bubbles constantly emerging.

Each bubble spans thousands of meters in diameter, exploding with flame flows hundreds of kilometers long, shooting into the sky, then scattering like a fountain as they fall back.

"Light Disaster," Ange said.

Negris and Anthony were startled: "Is this the Light Disaster? You just transferred it slightly and triggered a Light Disaster? So simple?"

As soon as Negris finished speaking, Anthony added, "Not simple at all, not simple at all, I know what you want to say, you mean it’s so simple to trigger a Light Disaster, why does the Star Progeny Master make it seem so difficult, right?"

Negris admired, "You’re truly my enteric bamboo insect, you know what I’m thinking. That’s exactly what I mean."

"Ah, disgusting, the Star Progeny Master makes it hard because his consciousness isn’t as resilient as his Lord’s, unable to endure the God Star’s burn. Hence, he can only choose the dumbest way, throwing things in," Anthony said.

Upon careful consideration, Negris agreed. Triggering a Light Disaster lies not in how to trigger it but in whether one can endure it. Based on Little Fireman’s claim that those not strong would be melted, the Star Progeny Master probably falls into that meltable category.

If you can withstand it, you can, if not, no matter how one pretends, it won’t work.

Moreover, the Star Progeny Master couldn’t come here, thus opting for the throwing method.

"But didn’t you say there are many Star God Clan patrols outside, if the Star Progeny Master throws something, wouldn’t the Clan stop it?" Negris asked, puzzled.

Lightning and Luther exchanged glances, was this question directed at them? This was a mistake, they know nothing. Without Little Angel’s protection, they wouldn’t even know how to enter here, let alone notice how the Star God Clan stops things?

"Because the Star Progeny Master didn’t throw ’things’, but consciousness. The God Star erupted in a Light Disaster because the Lord’s consciousness was put in. Therefore, the Star Progeny Master throws consciousness, the Ancient Godlight being the ultimate destiny of all life, so the God Star naturally reacts to consciousness," Anthony contemplated aloud.

"That explains it. So what do we do now? Where do we go to rescue Little Tree Man? What about that Ancient Man Snake? With Ange’s embodiment not here, can we win?" Negris asked.

Forget the embodiment, even Ange’s clone was entangled by the Gray Divine Star and couldn’t come over. The projected was merely a will, lacking the power to beat Ancient Man Snake. Rely on Little Angel and Little Zombie?

"Uh..." Lightning interjected. "Lord Nage, I don’t know what Ancient Man Snake looks like, but when we got here, we saw a giant vine resembling a snake swish past. Don’t know where it’s heading, but judging by the direction, likely towards the Boundless Space Hole."

"You dead horse, why didn’t you say earlier, the Ancient Man Snake must be rushing towards us, quickly remind the Old Immortal to be careful," Negris fumed.

Ange ignored it, instead engrossed in playing with the flame flow on his body. Ange’s will, having entered the Sun’s interior, triggered the Light Disaster but brought out some flame flow upon departure.

This liquid-like flame coalesced into a humanoid form, representing Ange’s current embodiment.

Ange seemed to focus intently on certain things, paying no heed, not responding.

After calling out several times without response from Ange, Negris had to act independently. Negris’s will retreated back to its embodiment, then connected with the Undead beside Locke, updating Locke on the situation. Locke then used Soul Contact to inform the Monarch, jumping several times to relay the message.

Though troublesome, no one would suggest Ange establish direct Soul Contact with the Monarch, nor even consider this idea, as establishing Soul Contact entails a master-servant relationship, who is master and who is servant?

Upon completing the transfer, Negris’s projection returned to find Ange’s form significantly solidified. Originally a vague humanoid flame flow, now discernable with facial features and limbs, even a pair of large wings had grown.

When the bubble burst, the skyward flame flow fountain slowly fell like raindrops, with the large wings spreading like a massive net, catching these ’raindrops’. Flame flow rains falling on the wings hissed and emitted white smoke, a phenomenon of flame flow sublimation.

Ignoring the several thousand-degree heat here, it resembled a splendid and colorful fireworks display.

Time passed unknowingly, as Ange abruptly halted, with large wings swiftly retracting into its body, gazing in a specific direction.

Soon after, a sinister head emerged from that direction, smooth and glossy with merely a nostril-like hole, devoid of other features, supported by bamboo insect-like slender limbs with long arms and legs.

"Indeed, some tasty... sss..." The nostril-like hole split into a bloody mouth, laughing maliciously towards Ange and company.
