Chapter 1727: Chapter 1288: Consciousness Doesn’t Know Where It Went
Kram is the Plane Consciousness. When a plane gains its own awareness, it becomes an existence similar to Kram.
Usually, smaller planes or the Abyss rarely give birth to Plane Consciousness. At the very least, it requires a plethora of intelligent beings capable of generating a vast amount of Faith Elemental Force, yet due to certain special reasons, there are no Gods to share this Faith Elemental Force, causing it to accumulate over time, eventually leading to the chance birth of Plane Consciousness.
In this sense, planes that are atheistic are the most likely to give birth to Plane Consciousness. They’re akin to the sole Master God who converges all the faith of the entire plane, possessing strength equivalent to the God of Light from the moment of birth, able to stand on equal footing with the Little Ghost.
Do not underestimate the Little Ghost. Although it was born from the Master Plane, following Ange’s steps, Anthony also took the opportunity to spread Light across all planes, making this Master God one that is worshipped by many planes together.
Kram, having been imprisoned for so long, could sit at a table with the Little Ghost as soon as released, which shows how terrifying its original strength was.
In the World-Ending Magic Formation, Kram’s sole function was to provide energy to the World-Ending Magic Formation, but in Ange’s hands, its more effective function was its imprisonment capability.
It can completely imprison a closed space, severing all connections including Soul Contact.
This ability is extremely terrifying; it is the only thing capable of severing Soul Contact.
The Abyss Bridge imprisons consciousness, while the Holy Shroud has many application restrictions—often restricted to a tent-sized extreme—and requires early preparation. Besides Ange, no one can instantly set up a closed space and imprint it.
Moreover, a Holy Shroud cannot sever Soul Contact; it only blocks Soul Network or spiritual connections, preventing mutual perception or transmission of soul information.
Undead creatures with Soul Contact would not directly disperse when trapped inside a Holy Shroud, but Kram’s space imprisonment can.
If an Undead enters the imprisoned space, they would immediately disperse. Those without forced Soul Contact would not die, but all mental connections with the outside world would also be cut off, unable to transmit any information.
The most terrifying part is, if your consciousness projection enters, it can similarly sever the connection between the projection and the body, directly imprisoning your consciousness.
If the Undead King had projected their consciousness into a closed space by chance, and then encountered Kram, their consciousness would be imprisoned in the closed space, causing all Undead creatures with Soul Contact outside to perish instantly, the entire Undead Empire collapsing.
This ability is simply the nemesis of all consciousness projections, which led to Ange resolutely avoiding projecting into closed spaces for a period, preventing encounters with enemies possessing similar abilities.
However, later it was discovered that as long as Kram imprisoned the space first, even if similar abilities were encountered, Ange could utilize Kram to escape, which led to the resumption of projecting.
As the body approached, Ange also discovered that if the consciousness projection was particularly strong, the Soul Contact particularly ’robust,’ Kram’s space imprisonment might not be able to completely sever it.
Of course, this is only Ange’s feeling. Kram is ineffective against an entity of his level, yet he has no way to experiment; Kram cannot imprison him, and attempting to test it with someone else of the same level seems impossible to find.
Now it’s fine; a test can be conducted.
The Wall of Dawn is equivalent to a closed space. At the instant Kram embraced it, the Gray Divine Star suddenly felt ’a heavy weight.’
As a God Star, this feeling of heaviness did not exist within its cognition, yet now it was experiencing this sensation, as though something heavy was pressing upon it.
This unfamiliar feeling unsettled the Gray Divine Star, which suddenly struggled and then forcefully collided with the Inner Wall of the Wall of Dawn.
The Wall of Dawn is compatible with the Power of Fall theoretically, not intercepting the Gray Divine Star’s current Fallen Star Form, but added with Kram, it’s different. The Gray Divine Star crashed into the barrier with a boom, the barrier did not budge, instead bouncing it back.
Was it a trap? The Gray Divine Star felt a pang of realization—was it being imprisoned? Was this the purpose of luring it inside?
The Gray Divine Star’s unease increased; this sudden ’heavy’ feeling gave it a sense of foreboding. Initially, it was gloating over controlling those corrupted powers, but now they were futilely flailing like a ’frozen black spot,’ trying to cast them off.
The Power of Fall scattered on the sheer wall inside, as the Gray Divine Star’s consciousness withdrew outward, only to crash against the barrier with a clang, unable to exit.
"Impossible! How could this be? Impossible!" The Gray Divine Star panicked, experiencing a sensation similar to confronting the Abyss Bridge; the difference being the Abyss Bridge would draw it in, but now it had voluntarily ventured in.
"Let me out! Let me out! Let me out!" The Gray Divine Star began crashing into the Wall of Dawn repeatedly.
It was exceedingly fearful, having realized that even its body couldn’t break this Wall of Dawn for a time, now trying to break out from inside without the body’s power, wouldn’t that be even more impossible?
Negris exclaimed in surprise: "Kram couldn’t cut off its consciousness? I thought it would be captured, maybe throw the Abyss Bridge in?"
No one responded, Ange maintained the gesture of pressing the Wall of Dawn with one hand, motionless. freёnovelkiss-com
At this moment, the surrounding Molten Fire began to surge, layer upon layer pressing towards Ange, the enormous pressure causing him to lean forward, forcing him to brace with both hands on the Wall of Dawn.
The scattered Power of Fall inside now coagulated into a mass, bombarding the inner layer of the sheer wall before Ange, revealing the sinister face of the Gray Divine Star: "I am foolish. I don’t need to break the barrier, if you leave the barrier now without anything shielding you, I can crush you directly and escape, can’t I?"
Once more, the surrounding Molten Fire surged, resembling a massive hammer, pounding down towards Ange’s body.
A phantom suddenly appeared behind Ange, solidifying from virtual, finally crystallizing into a Crystal Stone form of Shamara.
"Eh? Star Shifting? Isn’t Shamara a Half Body? How can it Star Shift?" Negris asked in shock.
"Not just that, there’s more." Anthony quickly replied.
Another phantom floated up from Shamara’s body—Luna, who appeared for just an instant before settling down, overlapping with Shamara’s body, then spreading its wings.
Pairs of wings, akin to crystal feathers, spread open, instantly blocking the entire space behind, Shamara leaning forward to embrace, wrapping around Ange—Armorization.
"Star God Armor? Can it be done this way? Eh, no, where did Ange go?" Negris asked in shock, noticing that at this moment, the consciousness seemed absent from within; the consciousness had eluded somewhere.
