Forever Destined to the Silver Shadow-Chapter 245: I will take care of my father
Celestia’s POV:
Edwin explained the whole thing to Daviana by distorting the actual facts. He usually considers lying a sin, and he tries to speak the truth no matter how worse the circumstances get. Now he was lying through his teeth—just to back me up.
Unfortunately, Daviana didn’t seem to be buying his lies today. Suddenly, she grabbed my hand and started to read my thoughts. I tried to free my hand from her grip, but she held my hand firmly and didn’t let me go until she scanned my mind entirely.
"What?! You all tried to capture an Anti-Angel?" she cried out.
None of them gave her a reply to that. Soon horror crept up on her face. She must be seeing the part where I got attacked by the Incubus. For a moment, she didn’t even dare to blink her eyes.
Then after a while, she breathed out in relief. But still, the horror didn’t leave her hazel eyes. Once she was done scanning my mind, she let go of my hand and looked at me.
"So he saved you?!" she asked me in surprise, to which I nodded.
"But you still can’t trust him, Celestia! Don’t forget that he is a trickster—"
There we go again! I didn’t feel like arguing with her after that. I just stared down at the ground below me.
"And you can’t hide this from the Fae King anymore. Go to his chamber and inform him about this immediately."
"Fine," I sighed and turned to my warrior friends. "Come on guys, let us all go and meet up with the King—"
"No, Celestia! He is already sick, and it is for the best if only you visit him," Daviana said from behind me.
"Okay," I sighed. I was not much anxious for this long—as I thought that I had my warrior friends to back me up. But now I have to face my father alone?!
May the Holy Aiden save my soul from my father’s wrath.

I anxiously stood out of my father’s chamber. How would he react when he knows the truth?! I stood at the entrance and peeked inside.
Father Oberon was lying down on his bed. He was not suited up in shiny golden armor and robe. He was wearing a simple plain robe, and his long deep brown hair was messy; he must have been in bed for a long time.
A pale yet elegant man with reddish-brown was standing beside his bed, and he was checking my father’s pulse. He must be the healer Fae Lord Aeson. I remember him from the court!
"Your highness," Lord Aeson said and freed his hand. "Your heartbeat is still feeble even after you drank the exhilaration potion that I gave you. It means that your mind is refusing to stay at peace. Can you please tell me what is making you worry this much?"
Father Oberon grunted weakly. "What can I say, Aeson? I have a feeling that the peace in my realm will not last for long. Then how can my mind stay in peace?"
I got worried about my father; I had never seen him this dull. Lord Aeson was saddened after he heard my father’s confession. Still, he responded to him in a confident tone.
"Your majesty, you don’t have to worry about the disruption of peace. Because we Faes are now stronger than ever—"
"No, we are not! We are nothing in front of the Anti-Angel—"
So my father is worried about Silver Shadow?! I wanted to run into the chamber and tell my father that Silver Shadow is not exactly a demon. He saved my life!
"Please remember that we Faes have seen worse opponents than Silver Shadow," Lord Aeson stated. "So we will find a way to overpower him—"
"It is impossible," my father shouted suddenly. "No one can stop that trickster. He is always ten steps ahead of me."
Aeson got scared by my father’s rage, and he ran to the desk that was on the corner of the room. He picked up a golden goblet that was on the table and paced towards my father’s bed.
Then he made my father drink the potion that was on the goblet. He seemed to be a bit relaxed as soon as he drank from the goblet. It must be an exhilarating potion!
"Your highness, please stop being anxious over this and have faith in Holy Aiden. So far, he didn’t let the dark side win, and he will continue to do that forever—"
Father Oberon was looking down at his mattress without responding to anything. Aeson then bowed down to my father and walked towards the exit of the chamber.
I stopped peeking into the room after that and moved a little further away from the chamber. Lord Aeson came out of the chamber and locked his gaze with mine. When I stared back at his sea-green eyes, I immediately thought of him! Then I cursed myself and my mind.
Lord Aeson bowed before me. "Dawn, it is an honor to be graced by your presence."
I just smiled at him. Then he stood straight again and said, "The Fae King’s well-being is in your hands now, Dawn. His highness has been losing his mind ever since that trickster got back from the abyss—and his biggest fear is to lose you again to him."
I shuddered slightly. "But.... I am here! I am not planning to side with Silver Shadow again—"
"But his highness believes that you are going to leave him again," the healer lord stated. "So I suggest that you assure him that you will never slip again to the dark side."
"Okay," I replied. "If I do that, will he come back to normal?"
Lord Aeson shook his head. "I don’t know! He is hiding something else too, which I am unable to find out. Only you can do that—as he loves you the most—"
It is true. Father Oberon loves me more than he loves his own son.
"Lord Aeson, thank you for the guidance. I will take care of my father—"
