Forever Destined to the Silver Shadow-Chapter 299: The Dark Lord

Lyra was hurt that the Fae King had hidden this from her. She had assumed that this man completely trusted her. And he was constantly hitting on her too! But now it looks like he doesn’t actually trust her. She wasn’t able to blame him for that. If she were in his shoes, she would have probably done the same thing.

Then she realized how calculated a man he was! He planned each and every move flawlessly! This man is great! Her respect for him increased more than before.

Lyra stood up from the ground and smiled at the man before her. "Your highness, I am so much impressed by your tactics and I wholeheartedly will serve you from now on."

Oberon’s lips curved up in a smile. He was quite surprised that she didn’t mistake him for hiding the truth. Then he understood that she had an ulterior motive for her actions. Yet, it didn’t matter for him as he was going to use it anyway for his needs. She will be nothing more than his slave! And a master need not have to be scared of his slave!

The Serpent King too acknowledged the actions of Oberon even though he didn’t like him now. He felt betrayed and cheated! But he had no other choice than to serve him. Oberon has just been blessed by the Dark Lord himself and even a fool would not try to cross his path now.

After that, Oberon turned to Edwin who was sticking to the timidly like a lizard. Edwin understood what he had to do. He moved near the King and bowed down to him. "Your highness.... I .... am ....."

Oberon got impatient with his attitude. "Edwin," he roared and made him stand up stiff. "I have a quest for you now."

Edwin got tense. "A.... quest?"

"Yes! I want you to go to Selene and give out a message to Silver Shadow."

"Yes, your highness! I can totally do that," he relaxed as the task given to him was very simple. "Please tell me what the message is?"

"Tell him that his doom is coming to him! He will understand it!"

Edwin nodded slowly. Then he asked, "Your highness, I agree that you have more powers now. But Silver Shadow is an Anti-Angel...."

He stopped mid-sentence when he realized the true meaning of his words. But he was just asking a question. He didn’t mean to poke the King! And he had already asked the King a lot of questions like this before and the King would always answer him with a smile on his face. But today his King was glaring at him furious as if he wanted to rip him apart.

"Do you underestimate my power boy?" Oberon yelled at him.

"Certainly not, your highness! I was just...." He bit his lip as he didn’t know what to say. The King seemed to get annoyed no matter what he said. It was like he got transformed into a totally different personality than what he actually was.

"Edwin, listen to me carefully! Silver Shadow might have the powers of an Anti-Angel. But I have the powers of the Dark Lord himself! Do you understand?"

"Yes, your highness," Edwin swallowed. Edwin knew that the Anti-Angel is nothing when compared to the almighty Demon God. Anti-Angels are just the servants of God! So this means that Silver Shadow is really doomed! He is just an Anti-Angel while Oberon is now a Dark Lord!

Silver Shadow is no more the most dangerous creature. Now Oberon is the biggest doom to all! This means that Silver Shadow is going to be destroyed soon. Edwin did feel happy at that thought. He wanted to end him—and it is finally happening.

Then he realized that Silver Shadow is the only one who is capable of protecting the powerless Celestia. Oberon is definitely going to harm her once he kills him. And no one else can save! Even Edwin wouldn’t be able to do it!

The truth was hard to swallow for Edwin. Silver Shadow is like a shield to Celestia and he should accept that. Only he is a worthy opponent to this vicious Dark Lord, even though he is just an Anti-Angel.

Now Edwin was sailing in the boat to reach the Selene Kingdom. Traveling in the sea under the hot afternoon sun was exhausting to him. But he could care less about the heat when everything around him was going to turn dark soon.

His mind was trying to come up with a way through which Silver Shadow could defeat Oberon. And a part of me was surprised that he was actually rooting for his mortal enemy Silver Shadow to win instead of his beloved King Oberon. Two days ago, if someone had told him that he will be siding with Silver Shadow, then he would have just laughed to his death. And yet, here he was!

He reached the seashore of Selene when it was almost evening. As soon he stepped on the shore, the beautiful Siren girls around him started to scream out in agony.

"Everybody stay alert! A pervert has come to our island," one of the girls shouted out loud.

What?! Him?! A pervert?! No one in his entire life had called him that. He is always a certified well-behaved gentleman among the girls. Never once in his life had he forced or assaulted a girl. He always treated his lovers as if they were flowers. He made sure to not hurt them whenever he made love with them. And many girls had even dumped him as they thought that he was not manly enough because of his gentleness.

Yet now he was being addressed as a pervert by a bunch of pretty Siren girls. He was humiliated to no extent. Edwin raised his hands above his head and shouted, "Girls, I am not a pervert. I am here to give a message to the Silver Shadow. Please let me do my deed—"
