Forgotten Love: Mr. President, Mrs. Fordham Has Rejected You!-Chapter 172: No Taste for Bringing Up the Past
"Aiden, mmm..."
He kissed her forcefully and held her tightly, afraid that she might slip away.
Stella Grant pounded his shoulder with her hand, and finally, he let her go, his eyes gleaming with desire.
He trapped her between himself and the mirror, leaning down to look at her.
"I’ve gotten used to having you by my side; I just want to hold you as I sleep."
This man, is he starting to act shamelessly?
"Get out." She ordered in an authoritative tone.
"I’ve told myself that as long as I’m alive, I want to cherish you properly." He lowered his head again and accurately captured her lips in another kiss.
It was domineering and possessive, allowing no refusal.
A dangerous alert blared wildly in Stella Grant’s mind.
She flusteredly pushed against his chest, her voice breathless, "Aiden Fordham, no, I can’t."
He retreated a fraction, his dark eyes fixed on her, his voice hoarse.
"I can." With that, he leaned in to kiss her again.
Just then—
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
The intense and urgent knocking exploded in the quiet room.
Aiden Fordham’s face darkened to the color of charcoal instantly.
Opening the door, Keegan Lindsey stood outside.
As soon as he met the piercing sharp gaze from Aiden Fordham, he was instantly terrified.
"Ahem, Madam, Miss Sterling is here, and she is... not in a good state."
"Vivi." Stella Grant hurriedly rushed out of the room.
Keegan Lindsey quickly slipped away, not idling for even a second.
The downstairs hall was dimly lit.
Vivi Sterling stood there, like a rose battered by a storm.
The clothes on her body were torn in several places, her eyes red, her whole figure disheveled and out of shape, clearly just after a fierce battle.
"Vivi!" Stella Grant ran over.
Vivi Sterling saw her, like finding the only driftwood, she threw herself into Stella’s arms, wailing bitterly.
Her cries were heart-wrenching.
She held onto Stella Grant, repeatedly murmuring, "Stella, the 17th... gone."
Stella Grant’s heart squeezed tightly, wrapping her arms even more securely around her.
She gently patted vivi Sterling’s continuously trembling back, trying to use her body warmth to comfort her.
"Stella, he’s dead."
"I’ll never see him again..."
Vivi Sterling poured all her sorrow and despair into that embrace.
Stella Grant knew what it was like when the sky fell, she had experienced it herself.
"Vivi, everyone has their own destiny," her voice was gentle and light, "He surely wouldn’t want to see you so sad."
"But, my heart is breaking," Vivi Sterling’s voice quivered with pain, "bleeding endlessly..."
Stella Grant patted her back again, "Don’t cry."
"Tomorrow, I’ll take you home, we’ll go home."
In the shadow on the second floor, Aiden Fordham stood by the railing, his deep gaze falling on the two women embracing downstairs.
Zane Zimmerman.
Didn’t expect you still carried out this plan.
Hope you won’t regret it in the future.
Downstairs, Vivi Sterling suddenly stopped crying.
Her body softened, and she fainted again.
"Vivi!" Stella Grant panicked, holding her in a frenzy, momentarily at a loss.
Alvin Fletcher quickly stepped forward from the side, speaking rapidly in a low voice.
"Miss Sterling is pregnant, her emotions were too intense and she has fainted several times already."
Pregnant?
Stella Grant’s mind buzzed, reacting immediately.
"Quick! Carry her upstairs!"
Stella Grant personally fed her the fetus-preserving medicine, at night she slept beside her, taking care of her.
She didn’t leave the room at all that night.
It was a long night.
In another room, Aiden Fordham’s face was so gloomy it seemed to drip water.
He felt like strangling Keegan Lindsey right now.
In the neighboring room, as if sensing something, Keegan Lindsey shivered suddenly.
He pulled the quilt over himself, covering from head to toe tightly.
Keegan Lindsey: Will killing me help? If you have the guts, go take care of that Vivi Sterling from the Sterling Family! 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
The next day, Aiden Fordham took them aboard a private jet back to Meritopia.
Inside the cabin, the roar of the engines was muffled outside.
Stella Grant turned her head, looking at the endless blue sea through the window, where sea and sky met with no visible end.
Everything that happened in Mardale felt like she had lived through an entire lifetime there.
The price paid was too great.
Aiden Fordham almost died there.
In the future, it would be better to keep her distance from him; she couldn’t afford to lose another life.
Beside her, Vivi Sterling’s eyes were tightly shut, eyelashes moist with tears silently streaking down from the corners.
Mardale became her eternal sorrow.
She brought back a child and an unfillable regret for the rest of her life.
Aiden Fordham’s gaze lingered on Stella Grant’s profile, his look deep and unabashedly tender.
He wanted to hold her tightly in his arms.
It was time.
Once back in Meritopia, he intended to declare to the world that he loved her.
He wanted to marry her once more, openly and rightfully.
Up at Skylake Peak, a pair of deep, cold eyes watched the departing plane, heart-rending...
The plane landed.
A black sedan pulled up outside Sterling Manor.
As soon as the car door opened, Mr. Sterling and Mrs. Sterling came rushing out of the house, openly showing their excitement.
Mrs. Sterling enveloped both daughters in a hug, patting their backs forcefully.
"You two thoughtless little ones, finally know to come home!"
Her voice was tinged with sobs, yet carried full confidence.
Mr. Sterling stood nearby, not knowing where to place his hands, finally squeezing out one sentence.
"You... you give me one."
Vivi Sterling immediately turned around, diving into Charles Sterling’s embrace.
The warmth of the embrace was reminiscent of Zane Zimmerman.
Charles Sterling awkwardly patted his daughter’s back, voice coarse.
"It’s good you’re back, it’s good you’re back."
Vivi Sterling looked up, her eyes red with tears, her voice faint, "Old man, I missed you."
"Why is your face so pale, come, Mom made some soup for you."
Mrs. Sterling, noticing Stella Grant’s pale face, started to pull her towards the house.
"Stella." Behind her, Aiden Fordham’s voice suddenly called.
He quickened his pace with long strides towards them, clearly intending to pull Stella Grant from Mrs. Sterling’s grasp into his embrace.
Mrs. Sterling, quick-witted, swiftly stepped in between them, blocking him directly.
"President Fordham." Her tone was polite, but her gaze sharp.
"There are plenty of paparazzi around our neighborhood, it’s better to keep some distance."
She paused, her words turning colder.
"After all, the Fordham Group’s previous divorce announcement was known throughout Meritopia. We Sterling daughters don’t make a habit of looking back."
Aiden Fordham’s handsome face instantly registered extreme frustration.
His tall form seemed somewhat lost in front of Mrs. Sterling, "I just wanted to say a few words to Stella."
"Whatever you have to say, say it here." Mrs. Sterling stood her ground.
Aiden Fordham’s Adam’s apple bobbed, and finally, he had to forcefully say one sentence.
"Tomorrow, Grandpa is hosting a family dinner, I’ll come to pick you up."
Actually, tomorrow was also his birthday.
Stella Grant looked up at him briefly, nodded lightly, then followed Mrs. Sterling inside.
The heavy door slowly closed in front of Aiden Fordham.
He stood where he was, his heart feeling stifled, as though filled with a large wad of cotton.
Turning to leave, he coldly instructed Keegan Lindsey, waiting by the car,
"Whoever posted the Fordham Group’s divorce announcement previously, fire them."
"Yes!" Keegan Lindsey quickly nodded and opened the car door.
Keegan Lindsey: Weren’t you the one who wanted it posted?
Keegan Lindsey silently mocked inside.
Backfired, didn’t it, kid.
The road to winning her back is a long one ahead.
Take a guess, how many men in this world would want to get God N if they tried hard enough?
Inside the car, Aiden Fordham’s phone suddenly popped up with a message: President Fordham, the Whitman Family is hosting a kinship dinner, guess who Miss Whitman is?
