From Villain to Virtual Sweetheart: The Fake Heir's Grand Scheme(BL)-Chapter 614: The Day Georgina Chose Violence (part one)
Micah stayed in the room, phone resting loosely in his hand, thumb hovering over the screen without scrolling. The glow cut through the semi-dim room, yet Micah’s focus was elsewhere. His thoughts kept circling, reviewing his plan.
A soft knock sounded at the door.
Clyde stepped inside and said, "She said she’ll be here to help you."
Micah barely reacted. "Alright," he mumbled absentmindedly, gaze fixed on nothing in particular.
Clyde glanced at him for a second, then as if he was electrified, he averted his eyes quickly. Micah was sitting sideways on a chair, one knee pulled up against his chest. The oversized shirt had ridden up without him noticing, bunching around his hip and revealing far too much pale leg and other things that absolutely should have remained hidden. His posture was careless, unguarded, completely unaware of the effect he was having.
Clyde’s breath was stalled. His jaw tightened as he rubbed his forehead. He shouldn’t look. He knew that. But the image lingered anyway, burned far too clearly in his mind.
Maybe he really had acted too perfectly all this time, making Micah lower his guard, thinking of him as a eunuch or something harmless. Someone who never crossed a line.
That was his fault.
The truth was, Clyde knew exactly why he had become so frustrated. The barrier he had put between himself and Micah all this time, clinging to it desperately, had always been an excuse. He had told himself Micah was still young, not ready to take the next step and all...
That Clyde had to be the adult, the responsible one in their relationship.
But now that he knew it wasn’t the case, that barrier, that wall had crumbled down.
Micah remembered all of their previous lives. It meant he was not just a naive wet behind-the-ears brat. No, Micah was mature enough to know, to decide what was best for him.
And now Clyde had a hard time stopping himself, controlling his dormant desire. The thought of tonight didn’t help. The idea of stepping out into a room full of people, showing up in front of those four scums, made him anxious for some reason. As if others might try snatching Micah away from him.
It was ridiculous. Clyde took a deep breath and moved his feet away from the room.
Inside the room, Micah let his phone drop onto the chair with a dull thud in annoyance. Circumstances forced him to compromise his plan. Earlier, Darcy had texted him, saying he was forced to appear tonight at the auction.
Micah could guess who was exactly pushing for it. He sighed, leaned back in the chair, and stared at the ceiling.
"Fuck it. He doesn’t remember me. Yeah... by the time he suspects anything, I’ve already dealt with them. I can just go into hiding." Micah mumbled under his breath.
Yeah. Darcy did not recall all of his memories. It should be alright. Besides, everyone would assume Clyde was cheating when he stepped inside with Asena. One more person thinking the same should not change anything.
And even though he had said to Darcy that he would be going incognito, Darcy would never guess he had gone as a girl. He probably assumed he would go as a waiter or security guard or something.
The doorbell rang, snapping Micah out of his thoughts.
He heard some shouting from the entrance. Puzzled, he stood up and left the room.
Meanwhile at the entrance:
Clyde opened the door to be hit by a shopping bag straight to the face. "Ouch."
"Asshole!"
Georgina stood there with her hands on her waist, eyes blazing like she had come prepared for war. "Aren’t you supposed to be with my cute Micah? Who is this girl you asked me to bring a gown for, then?"
Clyde hissed under his breath and massaged his red temple. He felt a headache coming. "Hello to you too, Georgina..."
"Shut it!" she snapped. "Don’t hello me! I’m ashamed to even have a friend like you! Where is this enchantress? Let me see what kind of woman managed to brainwash you!"
Georgina pushed Clyde aside and strode inside, her heels clicking on the floor.
Clyde sighed, dragging a hand down his face. "You’ve got it wrong..."
"Really? Tell me...How on earth did I get it wrong?" She turned around, seething. "I even called Jacklin! She said she is already on her way to the auction! How stupid of me to think the dress was for her! If this isn’t cheating, what’s it then? Who else would you ask me for a favour? Are you going to wear it yourself?" Georgina looked left and right as if expecting a mysterious woman to jump out from behind the furniture at any moment.
"Come on, where is she?" Georgina demanded. "How could you both be this shameless? For god’s sake, Micah will be there too! Do you want to break his fragile little heart?! You heartless prick! I thought you were different! I should have never let you near Micah, my cute, innocent student!"
Clyde stood there, looking at her as if she were spouting the most ridiculous thing he had heard in his life. "Georgina..." he began, ready to clarify the misunderstanding.
It wasn’t that he had forgotten Micah was in disguise, but more like Micah was okay with it. After suggesting they ask Georgina for help and even telling him she was coming here, Micah had acted nonchalantly, as if it was okay for her to know. But Clyde never imagined that it would be Georgina to misunderstand.
It was at that moment that Micah’s footsteps echoed down the hallway.
Georgina turned to the sound sharply, pointing a finger toward Micah. "You! You freaking..."
Her voice got stuck, her mouth went dry.
The girl was so gorgeous, not at all like she had pictured would be. For a split second, she even thought Clyde’s cheating on Micah could be reasoned. Even she would not be immune to the charm of this girl.
