Gacha Sovereign-Chapter 1147: Negotiation
After considering their talks, Rubia decided to guide Alex to a restaurant where they could talk privately about this matter.
Rubia ordered some food while Alex set up a Sound Insulation Array.
"So, we need to talk."
Rubia nodded with a serious expression as she continued, "We will finalize the agreement for the war as well as how I can help you, right?"
"Yes. You can't say anything about my appearance as well."
"I understand. So, what is your demand?"
"I don't have many demands. I want your full support in finding the enemies. You said you have information about them, so tell me."
She contemplated for a moment, structuring the information she had. "First of all, the guy who approached me back then was known as God of Virtue. I don't know about him that much other than his element, which is Light Element.
"He tried to persuade me for years until I expelled him from my world. At that time, he said to me that I'm not going to regret this choice because I will be standing on top of this universe. I didn't and don't have that ambition, so yeah… That wraps the whole thing."
Alex narrowed his eyes. "He sounds suspicious."
"Then, can I ask for an explanation from you?"
"To put it simply, there was a beast that terrorized this universe. The previous generation of God Kings fought against this beast which turned out to have an army back then. The ones that led those armies were called "weapons" made of humans from Planet Earth.
"In the end, other than the Sword God and Life and Death Goddess, everyone died, including the past me."
"How did you die? Did you lose?" Rubia drew a gasp and covered her mouth. If the scariest and probably the strongest God King, the Spirit God, died, how could they even stand up against the beast along with its armies?
"You could say I lost, but at the same time, my past life used his life to seal the beast to protect this universe."
"And now that you have reincarnated, it's time to fight back?"
"Yes."
"Do you have confidence?"
"My past life has been helping me through my journey, so I can try to surpass him within a short time. As long as I can reach God King, I think I can fight against that beast again without losing." Alex sighed before recalling what his previous life said regarding the stage above God King.
There was a chance that the beast was actually at that stage this whole time and the universe turned blind eyes to it. Hence, he might need to increase his strength even further to kill it, albeit that was just the last trump card he would only use if necessary.
"I see." She contemplated for a second and asked, "What are the weapons?"
"The beast itself was six different life forms: Bear, Snake, Bats, Angel, Phoenix, and Dragon. Its weapons are those people."
"!!!" Rubia drew a gasp as she remembered the report about Alex's wars. "If I'm not wrong, the Array God had a snake arm before dying in the hand of the Nature Goddess… The Metal God died after turning into a bear… And an unknown Alchemist died because of a Phoenix Fire that was supposed to be out of this universe. Don't tell me…"
"Yes." Alex nodded with a serious expression. "You are not my enemy, right?"
Rubia blinked her eyes a few times and knew that Alex tried to test her. With the Universe Oath earlier, she was unable to lie to him, so she said with a grim expression, telling him that she was serious about this answer. "No! If the universe is threatened by something outside our universe, I have an obligation to protect this place where my home lies."
"Alright then." Alex took a deep breath and continued. "Anyway, each weapon can appoint a pet to receive their power in order to help them in this battle. Hence, I believe the battle is going to be fiercer than five thousand years ago."
"I see. This is bad, no?"
"Yeah, but I have made many preparations. I won't tell you everything, but I believe we can fight them." Alex assured her before saying, "Anyway, if you can fully support our side, our chance to fight them will increase."
While discussing this information, Alex had been using his Spirit Eyes the whole time to see the fluctuation of his energy. Fortunately, he didn't see any form of parasite hiding inside her body, so she might not be a double-agent.
"I understand your point, but it doesn't mean I can let go of your past, right? Your reputation alone scares so many people in this universe, making me a bit doubtful of your action. What if when everything is over, you are going to kill us? None of us can stop you anymore." She narrowed her eyes.
"I know that, but at that point, I'm starting to question people's intelligence. If they know that I'm scary, why would they even offend me?" Alex shook his head with a calm expression, blaming all the stupid people.
Even Rubia didn't expect him to answer with another question. She blinked her eyes a few times before shaking her head helplessly. "What should I say to you, Spirit God? Should I just offer myself to you so you will protect me and my people?"
"Ehm, no." Alex rejected that idea with a poker face as if it was something that didn't need consideration.
"Oh, come on. I'm a beauty, blonde hair, and can use magic. I'm the perfect magical girl. If it's in my world, people will adore or worship me."
"That's your people. I'm not." Alex shrugged. "Besides, if you continue talking about this, someone may claim your neck, you know."
Remembering Anna and Jeanne that could appear out of nowhere, she quickly covered her mouth to avoid spouting any more jokes. The Spirit God seemed to not be fond of it.
Little did she know that Alex loved joking around, but it wasn't about this kind of topic. "Anyway, let's eat."
Alex glanced to the right and deactivated his Sound Insulation Array, allowing the server to enter to bring their food.
After all were presented on the table, the Magic Goddess couldn't help but comment. "It's hard to imagine that the Spirit God will eat in a place like this."
"There's food in front of me and it will be thrown away if I don't eat it. Why should I waste food? You tell me." Alex shrugged. This belief actually derived from when he was a high-schooler. He didn't have money for food and many things, so he knew that he shouldn't waste food.
He ignored whatever she said next and started grabbing all the food, eating them one by one.
Even the Magic Goddess was surprised to see Alex eating like this. Cultivators like them didn't have the need to eat for the rest of their lives, but some chose to eat as a form of enjoyment. Some even compared them to wine or tea, saying, "If they drink tea or wine without complaining, why should we not eat food?"
Either way, Rubia ended up eating a small portion while the rest went straight to Alex's stomach.
After a while, she couldn't end up asking, "How is it? Is it delicious?"
"Well, I've tasted worse." Alex shrugged. "Anyway, let's move to the second topic."
Rubia tilted her head in confusion. "What is it?"
Alex stretched his hand and asked, "The treasures."
"You're still looking for that." Rubia rolled her eyes, never expecting that Alex would demand it directly after eating. "Can't you treat women a bit better?"
"I treat them as my equal and I'm equally ruthless to both men and women." Alex waved his hand while saying, "Treasures."
"…" She shook her head and asked, "What kind of treasure do you want?"
"Leka," Alex called Leka's name again as she finally came out of his pocket since she didn't want to disturb Alex during the conversation.
"Yes, Master."
"What a cute mouse." Rubia's face got closer when she saw Leka and observed her. "Wait. This mouse… This mouse is the Gold Digger Mouse?"
"Leka may be known as Gold Digger Mouse, but Master calls Leka with Five Colored Mouse, symbolizing treasures. Leka likes the latter better!" She confronted her before looking away while puffing her cheek.
Yes, no matter how many times he heard it, he truly wanted to kill the one who named this mouse as Gold Digger Mouse. He facepalmed and shook his head helplessly while gently stroking Leka's head. "That's how it is, just call her Leka instead of her species."
"I understand." Rubia nodded.
Leka contemplated for a moment and said, "We need a treasure for cultivation. And in this city, Leka found a treasure… Although Leka doesn't know its type, it's near this place."
"Well, the treasure is in this restaurant. I know that you're aiming for this treasure, so I'm just saying that this treasure won't suit you. It's more suitable for me. Instead of going for this treasure, how about we go to my world to get another one? I have something that can increase your cultivation… Not you…" Rubia turned around and looked at Alex with a smile. "Yours."
Alex shrugged. "I don't mind. It's not like you can harm me."
"Haha. That's true." She made an awkward smile before saying, "Anyway, let me receive the treasure first, okay? I will leave you for an hour or so in this room and we can go to my world, so I can give you another treasure to compensate for my first impulse earlier."
Alex nodded as Rubia finally left the room.
Since he had nothing to do, he sighed. "Anyway, it seems that we have gained another ally…"
[Indeed. Anyway, since we know about the identity that we suspect as an Angel, do you want to fight him right now?]
"Nah. We don't have proof. If we attack him right now, it will be great, but we don't have much information about him. The moment we are surrounded, it's over." Alex shook his head.
[Then, I should investigate him.]
"It will just alarm him. I am planning to attack that guy, but it's going to be a bit later. Because I know that a big war will come soon, I'm planning for a sneak attack. Anyway, just follow my lead in the future. I have a plan."
[Well, you're the boss. Even when I turn my brain upside down, I still can't beat Anya or you.]
Alex smiled. "Anyway, make sure that everyone is in great shape."
[Understood.]
Alex decided to wait for Rubia while chatting with Eve, Elliot, Elle, and Leka. They agreed to return to this place and experience this world since it was Eve's wish. Alex could even use this place to reach Rank 2 God while Leka brought Eve and the twins around the world.
After a long wait, Rubia finally returned to the room. "I'm sorry for making you wait. Shall we go?"
