Gacha Sovereign-Chapter 1150: Alex's Plan
A minute earlier, Alex, who just woke up from his cultivation, got a notification from Lin Xingzhi.
[Alex. A war is going to happen soon. You need to come back as soon as possible.]
"!!!" Alex widened his eyes before frowning. "A war, huh. This time they will shamelessly make a move?"
After contemplating for a few seconds, he rose from the ground and opened the cave, saying. "Let's return. Something big is going to happen soon. I apologize that I can't fulfill my promise to go around the universe for a bit more, but we will do it after this."
Eve made a big smile and said, "It's fine, Master. If it's anybody else, we won't be able to say this, but unlike them, you don't make an empty promise. We understand."
Alex scratched the back of his head and nodded. "Let's go back then."
However, Alex thought of another thing before he returned. Instead of going to Eulja, he went straight to the Magic Goddess's world to visit her.
As expected, the moment he entered her house, the Magic Goddess managed to pick up his presence and showed up.
"What is this? Are you asking for the research right now? I'm in a good part, you know. I will fulfill my promise after this." Rubia shook her head with a serious expression.
Unfortunately for her, Alex didn't come for that. He simply took a folded paper and handed it together with a token.
"This token will give you an induction when I break the other half. At that time, I want you to open this paper and follow what's written inside. Can you promise me? This is very important."
"Hmm?! A war?" She narrowed her eyes.
Alex didn't answer her. Instead, he just left her without saying anything.
After a "long" journey, he had finally arrived at Eulja, where Lin Xingzhi asked him to enter the war council immediately.
Alex followed her instruction without hesitation and found the Six Elemental Gods, Five Guardians, Strategists, Korzan, and even Alaya as well as God of Wrath. Since Anna and Jeanne had become God Kings too, they also participated in this council.
"I assume we are attacked?" Alex narrowed his eyes.
The room atmosphere turned heavy as they released their killing intentions after getting to know their current situation from Anya earlier.
"As expected…" Alex closed his eyes for a moment.
Anya came to him and said, "We're not the one, but the God of Destruction."
"!!!" Alex opened his eyes in surprise and thought for a moment. "Well, that doesn't change my plan."
"Anya, give me the status report."
Anya nodded and started her explanation. "According to our information, there are two God Kings that will attack the God of Destruction: The Dragon God and the Phoenix Goddess. I'm assuming they attack us because of the grudge, but I feel like they have another meaning. Then, Aria said…"
Before she finished, Alex pointed at the ground while saying, "Eulja is their target or any other people in our alliances."
"Exactly so."
"By directing us to help the God of Destruction, they will have the chance to attack us or our allies." Alex let out a long sigh. "Anyway, Lin Xingzhi and I will go to help the God of Destruction. What do you think, Alaya?"
Alaya's expression turned serious since Alex must want her opinion because she once stated that the God of Destruction was the closest to have the power of the previous generation of God Kings.
After thinking for a while, she said, "I don't have any assurance, but I think he can buy enough time. The same applies to Lin Xingzhi. From what I have seen, you haven't reached it yet, right?"
Lin Xingzhi looked down, feeling ashamed. "Yes."
"Buying time is enough. They are also planning to buy time, so I have an order ready." Alex made an evil smile.
"You have it ready?" Anya dropped her jaw to the ground.
"This move is above my expectation, but it's still within my imagination. Why do you think I choose to kill their people first before killing the head?"
"Don't tell me, you have been planning to make them think that you're planning something big for them, so they need to attack you once to create confusion?" Anya slammed the table as she recognized his intention after such a clue.
Even the others were shocked.
"You see, I still hate them for the fact they are trying to destroy Eulja when I and the others fight on another battlefield…" Alex smirked.
Everyone drew a gasp as they looked at Alex's sinister expression and remembered the war a few years ago where ten God Kings fought.
Alex nodded and announced. "I'm creating three teams. Lin Xingzhi, I, and Korzan will go to assist our ally, the God of Destruction. I need ten thousand God Rank Experts to follow us."
"Eh?! Me as well?" Korzan pointed at himself in confusion. This was the first time Alex asked him to go to the battlefield outside Eulja territories, so it was no wonder he was stunned.
Alex ignored him and continued his order. "The second team will be protecting Eulja, helping the Ten Commandants. They are Anna, Jeanne, and Marcus. You are in charge of Six Elemental Guards and Five Guardians, making sure that our area is well-protected. If they hit another ally, you are to go there to help them according to your discretion.
"The third team will be Alaya and Ten God Beasts. Someone contact them for me please… Anyway, you are to assess the situation. First, I want you to confirm whether the Angel or the Bats are ready or not. If they are coming at us, you are to call our allies to help the second team."
Alaya nodded with a serious expression before smiling. "I see. If the purpose of this fight is only to create confusion to buy them some time since the two are most likely not ready for war yet. Hence, after confirming it, we can ambush either battlefield and eliminate them."
Alex made a big smile as if he was excited about this war.
…
Meanwhile, his allies also received a report from Eulja about their current situation.
Inside the Holy Palace, the Holy God held a meeting with his retainers while looking at the letter that Eulja's messenger brought.
The Holy God could only shake his head helplessly, stunning all of his retainers.
"Your Holiness…" The Saintess furrowed her eyebrows and asked, "What are we going to do? The God of Destruction is…"
The Holy God waved his hand, stopping her from talking. He finished reading the message and sighed. "Ugh. I feel like being toyed with by the Spirit God."
"What do you mean? We have agreed to be his ally in this battle, but it doesn't mean he can look down on us." The Saintess slammed the table.
"My beloved daughter… You should calm down a bit. Do you know what people think about you? Berserker Saintess… That's the first time I have heard something like that." The Holy God let out a long sigh. "Anyway, the Spirit God can't cease to impress me. Since you like to battle so much, how about you lead the army to do something, Daughter?"
"Where?" The Saintess asked, ignoring her father's previous remark about her being a brute.
The Holy God smiled and said, "To…"
The same situation occurred in the same lake where the Song Goddess played her zither. Her assistant visited her and conveyed Alex's message. "Your Majesty, I have brought the message from the Spirit God."
"Please tell me." She smiled and continued playing her zither. However, her eyes already started emanating killing intent, feeling pretty excited to fight under the Spirit God again.
"Actually, he is asking you to gather our armies and move to the north a little bit."
"Alright. I will leave the army arrangement to you. What's next?"
"You're to stand by for an unknown period of time."
Teng.
The note of her music suddenly changed as a string snapped. The Song Goddess turned around and widened her eyes. "Stand by? What?"
Just like the Song Goddess, the Palm God also received the message that he couldn't comprehend. He sat face to face with his wife, who was making a stern expression as if telling him that the moment he opened his mouth, he's dead.
A few minutes passed and the Palm God finally couldn't wait any longer. He slammed the table and shouted. "Wife! What do you mean we are to not make a single move at all?! I can't comprehend this. Tell me the—"
Just like their usual conversation, the War Goddess grabbed his hand, slammed his head to the ground, and buried it. "As I said, we are going to stay here without doing anything. Can't you understand?"
"Mhmemehmehm." The Palm God seemed to say something, and surprisingly enough, the War Goddess completely understood it.
She sighed and decided to explain. "I can tell you the reason, but you're going to promise me that you will stay in the bedroom for three days."
"Of course, I will do everything for you."
"I don't trust you. You always choose to escape. Now I demand a Universe Oath."
The Palm God gulped down as he truly planned for that. He now needed to face a challenge whether to go alone to create a mess or follow his wife's words. After contemplating for a few minutes, he decided to swear to the Universe.
The War Goddess narrowed her eyes and nodded. "Alright. Listen to me. I'm going to say it once since I'm too busy right now."
"Yes, yes."
"It's simple. We're here to confuse the enemy."
"What? We can do something like that without even doing anything?"
"Yes. Just like how they want to confuse us, the Spirit God has another plan to turn that around. I have read his message and understood what kind of thing will happen on the battlefield. Still… The Spirit God… He is truly scary." The War Goddess sighed, wondering whether it was alright to let Silvia with him.
The only thought that lessened her worry was the fact that the Spirit God was overprotective to his family, so at least she would be safe and sound.
"Right! This is the son-in-law I have chosen. Sometimes my genius is… it's almost frightening."
"You just like gambling. I don't call it genius." She shook her head helplessly, not knowing how to beat some senses to this guy's head anymore.
"Fine, fine. Through that gambling addiction of mine, I could find a beautiful and caring wife who is also capable and independent. Through another gamble, I have the best daughter and son-in-law under Heaven. Through another—"
Before he finished, the War Goddess cut in again. "And you lose this one gamble because you annoy me…"
Bang.
She slammed his head again to the ground with her foot.
And as expected, the Palm God didn't know when to give up as he raised his hand and said, "Wife… I prefer black."
The War Goddess's eyebrows twitched as she knew what he was talking about, considering she was wearing a skirt. She put more power into it and buried the whole body in the ground.
He… never learns.
