Galaxy Domination Guide-Chapter 451: Invasion 442 (Part 7)
Xu Lanzhou sat in command of the Beiluoshimen Battleship, with the warship's AI, Miss Beiluoshimen, standing by her side.
Beiluoshimen has always been cold and aloof, a perfect ice queen, "Commander, by the Chancellor's order, all 5125 warships of the Star Alliance Fleet are under your command. Universe Army Commander Xiao Yu has already received his orders to organize the Earth Defense Force and the Bionic Human Corps to resist and exterminate the Controllers on Earth."
Xu Lanzhou nodded, thinking to herself, "So the task has indeed fallen to me."
She could feel the pressure weighing on her, as if Bai Zhongqi was watching her from a great distance. This was the deep trust bestowed upon her by the Chancellor, and it was something Xu Lanzhou absolutely could not afford to betray.
Looking at Xu Lanzhou with displeasure was Yuan Lang, a general from the Silver Feather Army. He was an admiral of the Silver Feather Army, in command of more than two thousand Silver Feather warships, second only to Grand Commander Nian Deng. With nothing much to say to the offspring of a Knight of Destiny, Yuan Lang knew he must comply with the Chancellor's orders, for Bai Zhongqi had made it clear: if the Silver Feather Army acted on its own on the battlefield and disobeyed the chain of command, the Chancellor would personally strip them of their Silver Feather Army status.
"Commander Xu, by the Chancellor's command, the Silver Feather Fleet will follow your orders in their entirety," said Yuan Lang reluctantly, but still making his stance known.
Xu Lanzhou held no grudge against the Silver Feather Army; after all, they were all under the Chancellor's command, but the Silver Feather Army was clearly unfriendly toward her. She had no interest in appeasing these people and simply nodded without saying much.
At this moment, Lv Zhinian said to Xu Lanzhou, "The Teizene and Benefactor fleets number in the tens of thousands, nearly more than double ours. Our reconnaissance has discovered that their fleets not only consist of warships in Teizene and Benefactor configurations but also include a completely different type that appears to be quite formidable."
Xu Lanzhou replied, "Through the news we've collected from the Pan Star folks, we've learned that the Controllers launched a surprise attack on the Maquivina Civilization's mother planet, a level 26 civilization, and have acquired Maquivina technology, including their capacity for trans-spatial energy transmission that could assault Earth. Those warships belong to the Maquivina people, and their technological level is roughly comparable to our Beiluoshimen and Bao Ping."
Lv Zhinian said, "To think even public channels could gather such intelligence; information flow in the Galaxy is more efficient than we imagined. Fortunately, there aren't many Maquivina warships; the majority are still Teizene and Benefactor warships, against which we still hold a considerable advantage."
Xu Lanzhou's brow was tightly knitted as she said, "We have just received reconnaissance intelligence that the three great enslaver fleets have divided into several sub-fleets with the intention of attacking our protected Lingge Star, Gigite Star, and other places."
Lv Zhinian remarked, "This could indeed be troublesome. If we respond to their divided forces with divisions of our own, they, having larger fleet numbers, won't lose much strength, but this would weaken our main fleet and increase their chances of victory."
Yuan Lang snorted, "But we have no choice; we must defend Lingge Star and Gigite Star."
Xu Lanzhou and Lv Zhinian understood this reasoning. Lingge Star is the largest source of population for the Star Alliance outside Earth, and now that Gigite Star is considered a vassal of the Star Alliance, destroying them would deal a severe blow to the Alliance's credibility.
"It seems that the engagement with the enemy fleets will be a straightforward confrontation," Xu Lanzhou sighed. They had already pinpointed the enemy fleet's location, but Xu Lanzhou dared not rashly dispatch her fleet to engage the enemy. Skirmishes, she must fight, but she had to be extremely cautious about initiating combat with her main force.
What concerned her even more was the situation on Earth. Although she firmly believed that the Chancellor would be safe, it was still something that could affect her emotions.

"If the Iridium Star's Death Star Cannon were here, at least we could do something to the enemy," Xu Lanzhou couldn't help thinking. The Death Star Cannon was an unconventional superweapon of the Iridium Star, on the same level as the Singularity Weapon. But the Death Star Cannon was a controlled weapon of the Iridium Star, comparable in size to a comet when deployed and with a range that could reach hundreds of light-years. It's a warp-speed mega-cannon with terrifying lethality, but a slow firing rate of one shot every six hours. Yet, the effect of a single shot was enough to severely damage targets within a thousand kilometers, directly destroying the enemy's main battle ships. The Death Star Cannon was also a weapon capable of reducing the enemy's planets to scorched earth."
But now the Star Alliance hadn't restored the Death Star Cannon, and Xu Lanzhou could only think about it.
"Monitor the enemy's movements. Since they've divided their forces, let's take out their split fleet first."
About seventy astronomical units from Lingge Star, in the galaxy where it was located, three fleets of the Slavers' divided fleets were advancing toward Lingge Star. However, here they were forced to interrupt their warp speed, as the Star Alliance had put multiple defenses in place to protect this important planet.
The divided fleets of the Slavers comprised over seven hundred ships, primarily the Benefactor Warships with a small number of Teizene Warships, but without any of the Maquivina Warships brought by the Controllers.
"The Star Alliance's anti-warp technology seems to have gotten stronger than before," the Great Emperor of Teizene commented, monitoring the fleet's progress.
However, Daci'en was seething with anger: "Damn it, Great Emperor of Teizene, the technical specifications of the Star Alliance's anti-warp technology you provided are completely different. Now our seven hundred-plus warships have had their warp speed interrupted, and within this range, we can't activate warp speed. Moreover, those treacherous Earthlings have placed a large number of triggered and active space mines in that starry sky, making it impossible for our fleets to move an inch."
The Great Emperor of Teizene, however, kept his cool and said, "No matter, let's avoid this mined area. The Star Alliance can't have mined the entire galaxy."
In preparation for war with the Slavers, the Star Alliance had made extensive arrangements in their key defense galaxies. Not only were the anti-warp devices in the range updated, but various methods such as space mines and automatic weapon platforms were used to squeeze and strike at the enemy.
Most of this split fleet consisted of Benefactor Warships, so Daci'en was particularly upset; if there were losses, the Benefactors would be the main ones to suffer, even though most of them were their vassals.
The Great Emperor of Teizene then ordered the commander of this fleet to lead the fleet on a detour and continue attempts to attack Lingge Star. However, the area was littered with small asteroids and debris, making it exceptionally difficult for the Slavers' fleets to leave the vicinity, especially with the Star Alliance's space mines in such an environment.
And at this moment, the strike fleet dispatched by Xu Lanzhou also arrived at the battlefield.
The small strike fleet, with only 300 ships and a mere 6 being main battle ships, had considerable firepower. This area of the minefield could identify friend from foe and wouldn't affect Star Alliance warships, but for the enemy, it was practically impassable.
Upon maneuvering, a Benefactor Destroyer immediately triggered a stealth mine and, before it could even raise its shields, was blown open with a hole and sunk directly.
Bai Zhongqi, when laying these space mines, spared no expense on the payloads. With extremely powerful warheads, an explosion would inevitably cause severe damage to a warship.
