Galaxy Fall: All My Skills Are Maxed-Chapter 129: Legends
The Receptionist turned around, her professional demeanor slipping into genuine apprehension as she walked towards the towering Master Gateway. She opened her palm, and a small, heavy rock intricately engraved with ancient spatial runes appeared resting on her skin.
She walked towards the small activation pillar standing directly in front of the dormant gateway. Taking a deep breath, she placed the runic rock perfectly onto the indentation and tapped the stone’s surface to initiate the sequence.
BOOOOM!!
A massive, suffocating wave of corrupted spirit energy burst out from the rock, expanding outward like a physical shockwave. It violently smashed into everyone present in the hall, pushing the observing students several feet back across the polished floor.
"My Goodness!! What is that?!!" A student exclaimed, instinctively closing his face with the side of his hand as if bracing for a physical blow.
"Such strong Spirit energy and killing intent... Don’t tell me it’s coming from that gateway." Another student swallowed hard, staring at the now-active, blood-red glowing gateway. The energy leaking from it was dense, metallic, and even more eerie than standard high-tier red dungeons. It felt like the breath of a predator.
"Don’t tell me that’s where Miss Mirabella is going!!" Another exclaimed in sheer horror, looking at the lone girl standing entirely unbothered near the vortex.
"Will she be safe? Even just standing outside the gateway, I can’t move! How will inside be like?!!" A lady yelled, her knees trembling from the ambient pressure of the Hell Gate.
The Receptionist quickly moved back from the gateway, cold sweat rapidly rolling down her pale face as she fought to keep her composure.
"Um... Miss Mirabella, once you enter, you can only come out after killing the Boss. Are you sure about this?" She asked, turning around to face Mirabella, silently pleading with the elite student to reconsider this suicide mission.
"About the time difference." Mirabella asked instead, completely ignoring the warning. She needed to know if she would miss her scheduled mission with Yakima the next day.
"The time is the same with our world..." She answered nervously.
"What about the gate in the sky?" Mirabella asked, casually walking towards the swirling red vortex without a bit of hesitation.
’Gate in the sky? Why is she asking about this? Don’t tell me...’ The Receptionist’s eyes widened in panic, and she quickly called out:
"Please, Miss Mirabella... What lies in that gate is unknown, there are even rumors moving around that the gate is a path to the Abyssal... We know nothing about it. Please, don’t..."
"Why are you yapping continuously... I have the right to this dungeon for a reason, you do know that." Mirabella looked over her shoulder at the Receptionist, her icy blue eyes glowing with an intense, calculating light. She wasn’t just walking into danger; she was actively hunting it.
"Um..." The lady was entirely dumbfounded by the sheer arrogance, and finally exhaled a defeated breath:
"Ok, Miss Mirabella... I will just place your name on it."
She turned back to her holographic keyboard and started tapping away. The next moment, a glowing blue screen materialized in the air directly in front of Mirabella.
[Runners: 10 teams.]
’Huh? How many people have taken this dungeon?’ Mirabella thought, analyzing the low number. She asked: "Show me the clearance time of all the people who have entered this dungeon."
"Ok." The receptionist tapped a final key, and the screen expanded, revealing the elite history of the Dragon Empire’s most powerful figures.
[First: Hayatobi Korana - 2 hours and 15 Mins - Cleared.]
[Second: Beatrice Zachary - 3 hours and 50 Mins - Cleared.]
[Third: Antonio Blaze - 5 hours and 01 min - Cleared.]
[Fourth: Yakima Korana - 5 hours and 30 mins - Cleared.]
[Fifth: Destiny Claw - 6 Hours and 10 Mins - Cleared.]
[Sixth: Gaga - Failed.]
[Seventh: Merlot - Failed.]
[Eighth: Delphine - Failed.]
[Ninth: Regina - Failed.]
[Tenth: Hitachi Azul - Failed.]
’These five who passed... They are the main pillars of the dragon empire,’ Mirabella thought, her eyes scanning the names of the God Generals and Guild Leaders. Suddenly, the system updated, and her own name appeared at the bottom of the legendary roster:
[Eleventh: Mirabella Sunny - Ongoing.]
Without another word, she took a confident step into the red gateway and instantly vanished from the Dungeon Hall, swallowed by the spatial anomaly.
"Is this really a good thing." The receptionist whispered to herself, staring blankly at the floating names.
"Those who passed went in with a team of twenty members, they made sure the weakest is Lv150... Those who failed even took more people, even the Cold looking Hitachi, but still, they all failed horrifically... But." She swallowed a hard lump of fear in her throat:
"She is going inside alone, with her Lv170 strength. I hope this isn’t a mistake." She stammered, fearing she had just sent a prodigy to her death.
"What is happening here?!"
Everyone in the hall snapped their heads toward the grand entrance, watching Teacher Regina march inside. A deep, furious frown marred her face as she stared directly at the Master Gateway, which was still violently glowing red and emitting waves of lethal intent.
’Wait, is that?’ She stopped abruptly in front of the receptionist’s desk, her eyes wide.
"I thought no student is allowed in there?!" She snapped, her voice echoing off the stone walls.
"Teacher... Teacher Regina, she is one of Lord Hayatobi’s student." The receptionist quickly explained, bowing her head in deep submission to avoid the teacher’s wrath.
Regina froze in her tracks. Lord Hayatobi only had two direct students, and there was only one female.
"Mirabella." She called the name out loud, moving her horrified gaze to the swirling red dungeon portal.
"But in all the dungeon present, why send her to that one?" She asked, her voice trembling slightly.
"Well, Miss Mirabella asked for the strongest Dungeon."
"So can’t you at least lie?!! We made it clear to you." Regina yelled at the lady, her sudden outburst stunning every student present.
"But... But Master Hitachi was given access with the gateway." The receptionist weakly defended herself.
"Shut up! Do you think Mirabella and Hitachi are the same?!! Yes, Hitachi is strong, but if we lose Mirabella, we lose a very important and powerful individual!" She yelled, her mind desperately flashing back to Lord Hayatobi’s strict, private orders.
’Mirabella is a very promising student, at all cost, we must protect her.’ Regina sighed heavily, pressing her fingers to her temples and forcefully calming herself down.
’Mirabella is strong, reckless and crazy... She will surely enter that sky gate,’ she thought, her hands beginning to tremble involuntarily. Regina vividly remembered the absolute, mind-breaking horror she had felt when she stepped into that abyssal place with her own team. It was a nightmare beyond anything she had experienced in her life, and she wasn’t planning on ever entering it again, not even to save Hayatobi’s prized pupil.
"I will wait here." She finally decided, crossing her arms.
Instead of going inside looking for a senseless death, she would rather stay back in the safety of the hall and wait for Mirabella—the only student who had the sheer, insane gut to enter the Hell Gate alone.
