Galaxy Fall: All My Skills Are Maxed-Chapter 152: The Heart Of The Swarm
[Back To Mirabella.]
Mirabella slowly opened her eyes, the ethereal connection to her flying swords fading as she withdrew her energy. A slight frown formed on her face as she stared at the massive, blood-red eye which had manifested in the bleeding sky above. Its massive pupil was moving frantically from right to left, searching.
"It seems they will be here soon." Mirabella landed softly on the ash-covered ground, and dropped fluidly on one knee, placing her opened palm flat on the trembling black earth.
"Seems I have to end this quick." She looked up at the gothic, towering structures of the city, a distance away, her voice devoid of any mercy:
"Earth Shaker."
BOOOOM!!!
Instantly, the tectonic plates of the Abyss rebelled against their nature. Massive, jagged earthen spikes shot out from the city’s depth with volcanic force, ruthlessly destroying all the reinforced obsidian buildings and defensive walls. Mirabella stood up, withdrawing her dark wings, watching with cold indifference as her target’s grand architecture crumbled before her like a fragile castle of cards. The second city was officially erased from the map.
"He is here." She brought out the dense orb Esmeralda had provided, and tapped on it, teleporting away from the destruction just as the air pressure collapsed.
At that exact microsecond, the red sky tore opened with a deafening screech, and the Demon Emperor walked out, stepping from the void surrounded by nothing but pure, suffocating darkness. The absolute authority of his Level 500 aura crushed the lingering dust to the ground. He moved his glowing red gaze over the ruins of the city, staring in dead silence at the massive tectonic spikes sticking into the sky.
"Hmm..."
He raised his clawed hand, and felt the residual spirit energy lingering in the destroyed air. His eyes widened slightly.
"One human?" He was stunned. The energy signature wasn’t a sprawling army; it was singular, concentrated, and terrifyingly pure.
"When did the humans have such a powerful human. This is bad." He thought, his mind rapidly calculating the threat level of the empires, and moved his gaze sharply to the exact spot Mirabella had been standing on just seconds prior. He could taste the spatial ripples of her departure.
"Seems she is heading towards the third city..." He stared at the ruined, silent city one last time, a rare flicker of unease piercing his absolute confidence:
"Can a single human actually destroy one of my cities without the city soldiers putting on any resistance? Who really is she?" He thought, and vanished from the sky, racing against the teleportation coordinates.
___
[Third City.]
The spatial fabric warped violently, and Mirabella appeared directly in the bustling city square, instantly drawing all the hundreds of eyes of the heavily armored demons milling around the plaza. She moved her gaze over their stunned, horrific faces, then looked at her highly exposed, tactically disadvantageous location.
’You got to be kidding me! Out of the whole place thinkable, You have to place me at the center of this city.’ She sighed, slightly annoyed by the bad spawn point, as the space beside her rippled and Adira appeared flawlessly beside her.
"Summon the skeleton mage and get to work."
"Yes, Master."
Adira stretched forth her small, glowing hand, and a massive, complex runic circle instantly materialized in the center of the black-stone square, stunning the surrounding demons with its holy light. From the center of the array, the terrifying, cloak-draped Skeleton Mage rose into the air, its eye sockets burning with necromantic fire.
"You can begin." Adira ordered.
The skeletal entity simply nodded, and raised its gnarled bone staff high into the abyssal air: "Rise!"
BOOOOM!!!
BAM!!
BOOOM!!!
"....?!!"
The demons froze in sheer, paralyzing horror, staring as the very obsidian cobblestones shattered and the undead—corrupted, bone-armored abominations—rose rapidly from the ground. Instantly, absolute chaos descended upon the plaza as all the summoned skeletons shot towards the dense crowds with feral shrieks. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
"No!!"
BAM!
"We’re under attack!!"
"Run!!!"
"Call the soldiers!!"
BAM!!
Leaving the ground-level slaughter to her minions, Mirabella was now sitting casually on the edge of the tallest gothic building overlooking the plaza. She let her legs dangle, staring down at the brutal carnage happening in the city square, which was rapidly spreading outward like a necrotic plague into the adjacent streets.
"Adira, can you add more?" She asked, turning her head lazily to the divine fairy hovering beside her.
"Yes, Master. I can still summon nine." Adira answered, her infinite spirit energy reserves waiting to be tapped.
"Ok, then don’t hold back, release them in all locations on this city... I want to watch some fireworks."
"Ok, Master... But." Adira turned to her, providing a crucial limitation:
"I can only summon the world Bosses you have killed..."
"I know, just pick the strongest ones." Mirabella sighed, resting her chin in her hand, watching the crimson blood begin to paint the black streets below as the skeletons and demons clashed in a brutal, point-blank war.
BOOOOM!!!
The sky above the metropolis lit up as nine more massive runic circles appeared, suspended in the air in all nine different strategic directions. From the portals, colossal, terrifying World Boss Monsters flew out, their roars shaking the foundations of the Abyss. Even without anyone giving them a direct verbal order, they crashed into the urban sprawl and joined the rampage, acting on the pure, aggressive instinct of Mirabella’s will.
Mirabella exhaled, resting her weight back, and raised her hand, staring thoughtfully at her palm: ’Due to the hundreds of kills, I shut down the system’s killing notifications... Gosh, the sound is sometimes annoying.’ She grumbled. She was entirely desensitized, not bothered about the sea of blood she was spilling across the realm; to her, this was just high-level grinding.
’But... I gained a lot of items in this battle, maybe too many.’ She held her jaw, pondering the logistical nightmare of her own success. The sheer volume of high-tier abyssal loot sitting in her spatial inventory was staggering.
’If I sell them all, I will earn more than ten million gold coins, while if I absorb everything.’ She exhaled, her sentence trailing off as she watched a massive explosion level a city block in the distance. The economic scale of this raid was unprecedented.
’Thank goodness I also gain EXP with Adira’s summons’ kills, unless it’ll be a waste.’
Suddenly, she snapped her fingers without even turning around, and Sunder appeared instantly before her.
"Get rid of them."
WHOOSH!!
The sword shot violently behind her, moving with incredible, sonic speed. The next moment, two lithe, heavily armored figures jumped out from the distorted shadows, barely dodging the lethal arc of the blade.
"You?!! How did you sense us?!" The 16th guard asked in absolute disbelief, her twin daggers drawn.
"Yes... We made sure to completely conceal ourselves and auras." The 18th added, equally shocked that their ultimate abyssal stealth technique had been casually swatted away.
Mirabella looked at the two over her shoulder, her expression completely bored, viewing them as nothing more than minor elite mobs slowing down her raid time:
"You two aren’t even Lv400... Just get rid of them, Sunder." She said, turning her gaze back to the burning city below, completely ignoring the two furious elite guards.
"How dare you look down on us?!!!"
The two demonesses yelled in unison, their pride shattered. In a desperate, final gambit, they placed their dark palms together. The next moment, their bodies glowed with a sickening, fleshy light, and they violently fused together. Now standing behind Mirabella, casting a massive shadow over the rooftop, was a towering, grotesque humanoid creature with two snarling heads, four heavily muscled hands gripping different weapons, and four digitigrade legs.
"Hehehe!! We will kill you and avenged all the demons you killed!!" They yelled, their overlapping, distorted voices reverberating off all the surrounding building roofs, carrying the combined, desperate wrath of the Abyss.
